I'm operating under the assumption that Grimm isn't along otherwise the previous bluff would have failed. =P

Roll a diplomacy check.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Silvio smiles reassuringly at the Hellknight.

Hellknights don't smile!

"Be on your way then. Make sure your slaves behave themselves."

Still in flawless Elvish, "Of course. May your sword be sharp and your armor strong, Knight."

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Aleixica lets out a breath.

Thank you, Lady.

"Are we done jawin? We got a job to do." Bishop lets out after the guards are gone.

Done 'jawin'' for now, the party advances deeper into the Obediance sector. Managing to avoid and further interaction with Hellknight patrols, the group is soon at the heart of the quarter.

Entering the edge of the mile-wide crater, it becomes clear that this is where cataclysmic event that marked Westcrown's fall occurred. Most of the buildings are little more than rubble and ash and what wall fragments remain are scarred with outline of the people and objects that stood before them when the explosion occurred. The area is completely still, not even sporting vermin or insect life.

Five towers, new construction, stand at the center of the crater arranged as the points of a massive pentagram. The towers are over twenty feet tall and built of a dark mildly reflective stone. Each one sports a single reinforced door as an entrance.

Everyone can roll perception checks.

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Well, I can't do any better than that.

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17

Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34[/ooc]+4 vs traps![/ooc]

Init: +11, Perception: +18, AC: 24, HP: 68/68, Saves: 9/13/6

Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (19) + 18 = 37

Everyone spots what looks like Hellknight marksmen standing atop couple of the towers with crossbows in hand.

Lucius spots movement within one of the towers. It’s impossible to make out what it was but it looked scaly and it had wings.

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

"Perhaps some mist, to hide our movements?"

What's the plan guys?

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Waiting to see what others think about the mist.

Male half-elf witch 8; 50/50 hp; AC 16 (touch 13, flat-footed 15); Init +3; Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +6; Perception +12

Tristan ponders the idea for a moment, before asking, "How localized is the effect? Would it cover a great area? How dense would this mist be? Could its sudden appearance be construed as unnatural?" The witch's mind races as he contemplates the potential benefits and repercussions of Aleixica's bold tactic.

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

"It raises about 20 feet in all directions from me. It's nearly impossible to see through it, but it's possible they might consider it unnatural enough that it raises suspicions. Still, they probably couldn't hit us and we're likely to raise the alarm at some point..."

"Yea, that sounds too fancy fer my likin. And besides, the fog will block their shots and it'll do the same to us. I'm a fan of just goin' in."
