I'm going to assume since we have two druids and a ranger, that companions will play on our initiative instead of on their own? Seems like it would get a lot more complicated and slow if they had their own.

Lethe casts Shillelagh on her club. For the next minute (10 rounds) it has a +1 Enhancement bonus to attack and damage rolls, and is treated as two sizes larger, making it a 2d6 weapon.

"I will give you one chance to leave before any needless violence occur. The moment you strike another, however, I will have no choice but to let my friend loose. He's been quite restless lately, and desires to sink his claws into something."

Sentine snarls, opening his mouth wide to reveal his sharp teeth to the men.

Sentine's turn: Intimidate check to demoralize the leader: 1d20 ⇒ 15

male human level 4 rogue

this is my battle, so long as Justicar Trius's friends do not enter this combat you will not be needed. But know this Trius when I am done with you the rest of your order will cower or they will burn.

Human Fighter (archer) 3

@Lethe/Nidoran: Animal companions/familiars/summons/eidolons typically go on the PC's turn, but we'll see what our DM's preference is.

Hopefully these thugs realize they're outnumbered and won't interfere. I don't want to fight, but if things turn ugly, I'll do what needs to be done.

Etienne remains alert, one eye on Malice and his opponent, the other eye on the other three goons.

Readied action to shoot at any guard who makes a hostile move towards me or my companions. The cleric attacking Malice doesn't count, Etienne's going to let the two of them duke it out.

Sorry for the lull, guys. I'm waiting on Viluki to roll initiative, and he can't find a d20, or a program to roll one online.

At 20th level, you can change the duration of all summon monster spells to permanent. You can have no more than one summon monster spell made permanent in this way at one time. If you designate another summon monster spell as permanent, the previous spell immediately ends.]

@Viluki: That's the right expression to use; now you just need to change the numbers to match your stats. You'd want to use this: ['dice']1d20 + 1 (your initiative modifier)['/dice'] Remove the ' and you should be set. Also, for the spoiler tags, you can replace "movie plot spoiler" with whatever words you want.

Readied Action to cast Shillelagh on my club, seeing Etienne knock an arrow onto his bow, same stats as Lethe described, 2d6 weapon +1 att & damage, should not provoke AOO.

I'll be waiting on Lethe and Trius to act before I move and attack

When it gets around to Sylas's turn (admittedly, way into the fight), he'll either start Inspire Courage if hostilities between people other than Trius and Malice have broken out, or if that hasn't happened, then he'll ready to do so instead (on the same trigger).

Human Fighter (archer) 3

As mentioned before, readied action to shoot at one of the crusaders (not the sergeant) if any of them initiate hostilities. Malice and the Sergeant can duke things out, but if a crusader starts to join him, Etienne's going to try to take him down.

As for Isabeau, she's going to stay hidden in the rafters. She's pretty squishy, and Etienne doesn't want her to get hurt.

male human level 4 rogue

Readied Action is cast Grease wherever Trius is.

Just waiting to see what Lethe is going to do before we move on.

F Human Druid 1

Trius snarls again, casting Entropic Shield on himself, but keeping his position at the bartable.
Rufon can make is move and attack now. I'll need to know who he's attacking before Malice casts grease on Trius.

A bit of an old western stand-off isn't it?

"I will not stand for you pushing this poor man around. Four against one you can handle, but what if you faced... A REAL CHALLENGE!!" Rufon bellowed out as hard as he could, swinging his club at the nearest bully/soldier. staying at E3, swinging at the one at F2

Two Handed Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6
Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 16 the +1 coming from Shillelagh if I'm right

He misses the thug squarely as he put too much power into that attack, almost hitting and breaking the table in front of him with the power in that swing.

Just acting in his nature, he's got something against bullies

male human level 4 rogue

An annoyance, but a minor one.

Xei-gru!

Infernal lauguage:
The refuse of the sixth.

Malice grinned as the disgusting, slick slime rose up underneath Trius's feet.

Sovereign Court

Male Human

Trius moves to D3. The grease spell fires off and now covers squares C2-3 AND D2-3. He makes his save to avoid falling.
Seeing Rufon draw his weapon, "All bets are off!", he yells, unsheathing his greatsword to defend his subordinate.

Attack vs Rufon: 1d20 + 2 => (7) + 2 = 9 MISS!

Because he was so eager to decapitate the off-balanced druid Trius threw all his power into his swing, and (partially because of the grease) could barely recover from the tremendous miss in time to ready himself for any incoming attacks.

The cocky Crusader smirks as Rufon pulls his club back to block the incoming swing.

Attack vs Rufon (Crusader #1): 1d20 + 5 => (14) + 5 = 18 HIT!
Damage: 1d8 + 4 => (2) + 4 = 6 damage.

His heavy mace gets just inside the druid's guard, enough for a decent hit, though not the best because of the angle at which the mace came in.

Crusader #2 (the one originally at the door with the longsword moves to G5 and slashes at Sylas.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 => (11) +3 = 14 MISS!

He thinks he has a clear shot, but the man whirled around to block at the last second.

Crusader #3 (originally at E1) 5-foot steps to D2, but slips as soon as his foot hits the grease all over the floor. He falls in it and wisely decides against attacking while on the ground.
I'm fairly sure that's an AOO for Rufon, so go ahead and make it.

Finally Sylas starts up inspire courage to bolster his allies.

Everyone tell me what you're doing for round 2.

male human level 4 rogue

Malice pointed his hand at the first crusader and murmered Si-Xo-Deike

Infernal lauguage:
Acid of Dis (acid darts)

Human Fighter (archer) 3

As Crusader #1 moves to attack Rufon, Etienne's readied action goes triggers.

Attack 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Edit: forgot to add Point Blank Shot

I'm out of town for the weekend, so posting will be infrequent. On his turn, Etienne will maintain at least 5ft from all combatants.

Sovereign Court

Male Human

I need to know what you rolled to attack and how much damage you did, Malice.
Etienne's attack penetrated the chainmail of the Crusader, and it hurt, but it didn't even come close to putting him down. You're up first, so now it's your actual attack.

male human level 4 rogue

Oh my roll for acid darts sorry about that. 1d6 ⇒ 6

male human level 4 rogue

Acid dart (spell like ability) 1d6 acid damage+1 for every two wizard levels

Stats:
HP 9/9, AC 17, Touch 13, FF 14, Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2, Init +3, Perception +4
Male Human Bard 1

I believe Sylas was actually probably hit on that first attack, unless he was no longer flat-footed by that point? I mean, I'd certainly prefer if it was a miss, but yeah, I think he would have still been flat-footed, which puts his AC at 14.
.
Well, if he isn't unconscious after the first swing, then everyone has +1 Attack and +1 Damage for Round 2. If he's still not unconscious by the time his next turn comes around, he'll draw his longsword as a Move action and attack the Crusader who first attacked him, while maintaining his performance.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Man, Sylas is rolling all kinds of well for this fight :P

Sovereign Court

Male Human

That would end up 3 points of acid damage, no atk roll needed, 1d3 dam (1d6 divided by 2 rounded down minimum 1 dam).
The acid hit the Crusader right in the face, even as he moved to turn away. It burned the lower right side of his face and he cried out in sheer agony as the acid melted skin away.

F Human Druid 1

Seeing that there will be no peaceful resolution and that it has come to blows, she and Sentine wade into combat. They both make a beeline for Crusader #3, with Lethe situated opposite her companion to flank.

Lethe's attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 And they lose 4 AC for being prone.
Lethe's damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2) + 2 = 5
Sentine's first claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
First claw's damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Sentine's second claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Second claw's damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

AOO,Two-handed, Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 1 + 4 = 18 I take it he is prone as I take my AOO, so Power Attack = -1/+3 I took the -4 AC into account already DM, it's the second +4 bonus
damage: 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 + 2 + 1 + 3 = 14

As this hopefully hits the crusader
Rufon infuriated by the crusaders ganging up on him swings at the fallen crusader, aiming to at least incapacitate one before going down himself.
He let out an howl as the club swings down at the 'helpless' man on the ground, which is covering his face against the incoming impact.

Gilgamesh roars as well, pounding his chest as he gets ready to fight.
Totally forgot about him, if he gets AOO as well, if it matters, I'll roll

Gilgamesh AOO: 1d20 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 4 = 23 incorporated prone
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Human Fighter (archer) 3

Out of town, so no map access at the moment unfortunately.

On his turn, Etienne will 5ft away from Crusader#2 (preferably so his back's to a wall. He'll then shoot again at Crusader#1.

Attack 1d6 + 6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 1 + 1 = 14 Edit: forgot to add modifiers
Damage 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4

And (probably) miss.

Sovereign Court

Male Human

The constant and brutal assault by the party takes down al three remaining Crusaders. Seeing that he has no backup, Trius takes two five foot steps, landing him at B4, the disappears in a cloud of smoke.

male human level 4 rogue

Trius was always a coward, now though we have an intriguing thing to decide: What happens to his cohorts? I could burn the...no! A better idea, in my studies of the hell's and other lower planes I have come across several rituals that require sacrifice. This town has a salt mine to boot. Barkeep!

"Yes si.r, the barkeep croaked with obvious terror in his eyes."

"As these men unlawfully attempted to detain and send me to the Great Port to no doubt be executed, I demand that they suffer. Tell the sherrif that these mens are to be put to work in the salt mines, after being flogged with the lash sixty times each. Also make sure to tell him that if the prisoners escape that he will take their place in the salt mines."

"Well, that was a bit unexpected," he muses, then looks over toward Malice. "Who exactly are these men, and what sort of relation have you with their leader? You seemed to recognize him quickly enough."

Human Fighter (archer) 3

Once the Crusaders fall and Trius disappears, Etienne stays alert for a few minutes with an arrow nocked. Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

When it's clear that Trius is gone, Etienne whistles, and Isabeau flies out of the rafters and lands on his shoulder.

"Hey girl, are you all right? That's good; you're safe now."

He then looks to Malice. "That's right, Malice, what's going on? Does this sort of thing happen often when you're around?"

male human level 4 rogue

It's simple: Religion given form. For religion is the ultimate corruption of the soul. The hells, the abyss, heaven and other realms where the "gods" lurk are merely processing stations for the gods. Some realms such as the hells and the abyss are not subtle about this processing. Others such as heaven and other "goodly" realms process the soul with considerably more "grace". In the form of Justicar Trius and his cohorts you have witnessed this world's greatest disease.

A disease few our willing to purge, even when they clearly see the need for it. The gods have by their designs have waylayed souls who should be left to wander the planes without end. The gods, archdevils, demon lords and countless others have upset the balance and deprived mortals of their free will. The various religious sects will always stab you in the back and in their thirst for "Justice" never honor an agreement. Excepting one forced by magic.

Know that they will never stop hunting me...until I put them within the ground and seal their spirits in eternal death.

Human Fighter (archer) 3

"So, you've upset a religious institution of some sort, and they're sending people to kill you. I see.... And this bunch's leader got away, so I wouldn't be surprised if this happens again soon. Wonderful. So much for this being an easy job."

There's a faint hint of anger in Etienne's voice as he addresses his companions. "What about the rest of you? Does anyone else harbor a dark secret that could get us all killed? If so, now's the time to tell me. I have no desire to die because of someone else's misdeeds."

male human level 4 rogue

It was no misdeed on my part that earned the wrath of those religious zealots. Unless you consider being born a tiefling to be a "dark secret".

Sylas inclines his head slightly towards Etienne. "If it makes you feel better, I at least am simply a traveling musician and sword for hire," he says.

"I suppose it's possible someone wants me dead, but if so, I can't think of who that might be. Does that help?" He finishes with a one-handed shrug and a sheepish grin.

"Nothing with me I guess, only people I had a run in with are from my hometown. Can't imagine they coming after me though"

Rufon kneels besides the slain crusaders and searches them for clues and strange equipment.
I believe they are dead, no one seemed to Stabilize them or something

"I have no interest for their armor or weapons. Can't blame you if you want them. It's about the same as in the wilds actually. We do what we can to stay alive, even scavenging"

male human level 4 rogue

If I cannot have them in life then in death they shall be made an example of. One for certain way of detering religious zealots is to make an example of the slain. I will need a knife, for they shall be hung, naked and with their organs collected in a pile below them. Do not look so squeamish Etienne, these men would have drawn and quarted you for association with a tiefling. Know that certain grim and bloody things must be done, like the amputation of a diseased limb.

F Human Druid 1

"I don't stay anywhere long enough to impress upon someone the desire to kill me." She returns to her seat and resumes eating nonchalantly.

Human Fighter (archer) 3

I didn't know I was looking squeamish. :-)

"Actually, Malice, what you suggest may cause more problems. We have to stay here until this guard job's finished, and I know more of these 'zealots' will be coming at some point. Wouldn't it be better to get into this community's good graces? If we can make the people here like and trust us, they'll help us in the future. Showing a little kindness, mercy, and humility if, in fact, you possess any would be more beneficial than making an example of these poor souls. After all, I have yet to see a religious zealot who was deterred by the gruesome fates of his predecessors."

Etienne then returns to his seat, calling over his shoulder, "Do what you must, but consider what I have said. You will have few friends if you maintain your present course, and the jungle is a hard place to challenge alone."

male human level 4 rogue

The people here have no temples to Gorum nor his clergy, indeed Gorum is completely unknown to them. If these three are used as examples of worshippers of Gorum it will make them that much resistant to conversion. If they convert they will show no mercy, for Gorum posseses none, neither do his clergy. More to the point Etienne if you wish to be a powerful lord you must reckonize two things, one be generous to your allies and punish your enemies as if you were a pitfiend from the heart of the hells. These are clearly our enemies, so follow my advice and punish them even in death. As for the people of the community there is only one way to make them our allies, by showing them that we and only we can defend them and their interests.

Human Fighter (archer) 3

"I have no desire to be a 'powerful lord' as you say. It isn't all it's cracked up to be." Etienne smiles knowingly to the bird on his shoulder. "Of course, what does someone like me know about that? Do what you think is best; I could continue to argue, but it's obvious your mind is made up." He grins sardonically, "Do what your great intelligence tells you is right, I will not stop you."
