The servants fall unconscious with a grunt. The fire hisses and sizzles as the broth puts it out, the stones beginning to cool.
Ardra's meal is easy to prepare, she finds plenty of food and spices to prepare it with. In addition as Ardra looks around, she can see about 10 lbs worth of good iron rations, food that will keep on the road.

Zova Lex |

Is this 10 days per person, or 10 days split apart between all of us?

Tenoch Itzcoatl |

"Wait," Tenoch says, approaching the chimney. "Pull these servants up with the rope," he calls softly upwards, tying each of the prisoners to the rope to be lifted, "and shackle them alongside the guard. No need for there to be anything for someone to find should they visit the kitchens before we have made our escape."
The beast then looks at the clothes of the servants and then his large form. Probably better to just use the clothes in our sack... Not like I could pass for a servant. He absently munches on some of the food Ardra had prepared as he pondered their situation.

Ardra Pain de Veau |

looks at what she suspects is an exterior door and dismisses it for now. she puts an ear to the northern door perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
if no signs of life can be heard: shall we push on? she moves into the next room

Zova Lex |

Zova walks beside the Tiefling and nods. "Yes, we should make haste. I have no intention of being here when those three wake up."

Tenoch Itzcoatl |

"Will the others be joining us, or will they enter the hall with the ogre some time later?" Tenoch asks as he waits for the two tied up servants to be hoisted upwards to be shackled in the cells. After a moment he shrugs and moves along with the other two.

Nera Leroung |

Just as Tenoch finished his sentence Nera came down through the chimney. When she sees the two servants on the floor she frowns before noticing the absence of blood, "You knocked them out? Seems like a plan."
She now carries a bow and a quiver with arrows as well as a dagger and a shield, unless both of those were already claimed)

Ardra Pain de Veau |

she surveys the room
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
and then moves to the northern door and listens
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
if she hears nothing she'll push through

Ardra Pain de Veau |

she steps back and returns to the assembled party, ushering them back into the kitchen quietly. In a low voice,
there seems to be a few off duty guards in the north room, three maybe four of them. It sounds like they're at their ease. I suggest we surprise and dispatch them.

Tenoch Itzcoatl |

Tenoch nods, "Makes sense. Less to worry about for when the alarm is finally sounded. Zova and myself may stand by the door, and prepare to move in to strike those inside. Nera could ready her bow to strike one of the ones further away, in case we cannot get to him in time. Do you have some concoction that you have put together that may be of assistance?"

Zova Lex |

Zova will stand by the door in such a way that when opened, she could literally charge through (as per the action).

Ardra Pain de Veau |

all that I have made augments me in some way, either offensively or defensively. If they are closely grouped, I can do a fair bit of damage to them simultaneously, but I don't any of that will be necessary for this. Once again we have them unaware, and since they are off duty, I doubt they're fully armed, though we can't count on that.
I believe we'll be able to take them out with a simple surprise assault.

Nera Leroung |

Nera pulled on the bow in order to get a feeling for the draw, "It should be good, yes. Do know though, all my experience with a bow comes from target practice." Archery had never really been her thing and always working with a contingent of archers made training yourself unnecessary.

Zova Lex |

I would... But it would be infinitely more funny if someone were to knock. They'd never expect a sword to the face!

Ardra Pain de Veau |

shall we then?...
Ardra readies her dagger and approaches the door to the north of the mess, waiting to see that her companions are with her she jerks open the door and rushes in to attack whoever she sees

GM Eats the Eyes |

Zova: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Nera: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Tenoch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
The door swings open. 3 men sit around on their bunks weapons sitting to the side. They look up in time to see Ardra charge in at one of them, dagger raised.
Surprise Round first. Then round 1: Block A (Ardra, Tenoch, Nera)->Soldiers-> Block B (Zova)

Tenoch Itzcoatl |

Suprise Round
Tenoch moves in to position himself near one or more of the men. Since an unobstructed charge is unlikely.
Round 1
Glaring down at the unarmed men, Tenoch's form ripples taking on a different insect-like aspect. He then looses and drops his shield to the ground so that he can grip his longsword two-handed before slashing it down.
Swift. Activate Vermin Focus: Ant
Move. Loose shield
Free. Drop shield
Standard. Attack.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 vs. flat-footed (no Dex bonus) & sitting (-2 AC vs. melee). Are they armored?
Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Ardra Pain de Veau |

stabby, stabby: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
dam: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11

Ardra Pain de Veau |

oh, and of course that was assuming I was able to reach my target before the surprise round began; if not, then the surprise round was spent closing on the target and the following attack can be ignored; if yes and the crit was successful and target one went down, then round one is spent engaging and attacking a second target; if yes but target didn't go down, then round one is spent attacking target one again
again with the stabbing: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
dam: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

GM Eats the Eyes |

Tenoch moves into the room. He chops into the guard, spilling his blood over the bed. The man collapses in a heap. Ardra slices into another guard severely wounding him.
Zova charges in to attack the third man. She slices into him easily.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Nera fires into the fray and hits the man Ardra had been attacking, though the arrow seems to do little damage.
1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 4 = 6
1d8 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
The two remaining men draw their longswords and strike. From his seated position, the man is not able to geta good hit on Zova, but the other iss bit faster and hits Ardra, slicing into her arm.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Ardra takes 4 damage. Zova's round 1, then Ardra, Tenoch and Nera round 2.
1d4 ⇒ 1
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Zova Lex |

Zova is going to once again swing her sword, noticably going into a rage before she raises it above her head with both hands and bringing it and attempting to bring it down on the guard.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 - 1 + 2 = 7
Damage: 1d8 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 3 = 15
But apparently she forgot that she was supposed to take it out of the other guy before doing so, and whips the body around uselessly.

Ardra Pain de Veau |

round 2: Ardra attempts to put down her initial target before turning on the last remaining foe.
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
dam: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Tenoch Itzcoatl |

Round 2
Tenoch lashes out at another of the guards.
Not sure who would be left after the above, so being generic. Tenoch will move to strike the guard by Ardra if he is still up, otherwise attack the remaining guard.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 vs. seated foe (-2 AC vs. melee)
Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Ardra Pain de Veau |

Ardra staunches her bleeding arm, see? easy as souffle. Now let's see if there's anything useful in here
she begins rifling through whatever she can find hoping for a spare chain shirt since she realizes she can't simply dodge every sword swing

Nera Leroung |

Sorry again for being slow. B-day and associated celebrations ended up consuming more time in preparations, celebrating and hangover than anticipated
Nera puts down her bow. "Well, at least I hit him." She sighed. Bow and arrow had never been her strong point.
She moves in with Ardra, looking through the contents of the room and searching the dead soldiers.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Ardra Pain de Veau |

damn she whispers everyone against the walls by the door, be ready...
she takes position and calls out plaintively, honestly not believing this will work HELP! PLEASE HURRY! THERE'S BEEN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT!!

Zova Lex |

Zova will also take her position by the door, ready to swing down upon any who open it.

GM Eats the Eyes |

Ardra Bluff: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
[Duce] d20+1 [/Dice]
The voice floats softly from the other room, Mitra preserve us. A short scrambling sound is followed by a long clear note.
You all go first. I'm unable to add him to the map right now, but he's standing in the doorway to the hall.

Zova Lex |

Zova is going to wait until someone throws the door open and charge in a straight line to try and decapitate the speaker. Essentially she'll rush in BEFORE anyone else has the oppertunity.

Ardra Pain de Veau |

oy vey iz mir! what a miserable roll...
so much for the element of surprise...
to Zova I don't anyone's coming, if he's smart he's falling back to join his friends and we can't afford to let that happen
as she speaks she pulls out two half full vials, pours the contents of one into the other and gives it a quick shake before rushing out into the mess-hall to hurl it at the guard.
bomb throw, ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
fire damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Zova Lex |

RAGING CHARGE!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 3 = 18

Tenoch Itzcoatl |

This does not bode well...," Tenoch says, his form rippling softly as he takes on a different focus and moves out into the room.
Swift: Preemptive Worm Focus, so Fast Healing 1.
Move: Enter the other room.
Standard: If a move action is enough to bring him to the guard then strike. Otherwise, move action to peek through hall door and see what's up.

Nera Leroung |

Nera simply follows the others, holding her bow at the ready in case others come rushing in, "We need to move as fast as we can. The question is where."
She knew that had to play it safe. There would be guards coming but they would not have any idea that the prisoners had escaped. For all they knew they were responding to an argument between guards that got out of hand over money and liquor.
