Good news! I got a new map working on Roll20, despite its attempts to thwart me, and became slightly more skilled in the process. I'm setting up your tokens on the new location now - the entrance to Eagle Knight Keep.

Bad news is, I haven't seen any action from the DM of our sister game, Wrath of the Righteous. I'm going to poke and see if I can get a response. If not, well, we'll figure out what to do next!

I'll attach the link in the campaign info and the gameplay thread - note, I had to make an all-new map so I'll need to relink your tokens before you can move them. When you drop in just sound off which character you're playing one more time and I'll relink them.

Just so everyone knows, since I took over the other group (the Wrath team), I'm going to make a couple of changes to the game, to suit my own fickle whims. Both groups will be getting these updates. This will happen when we reach level 2, and will allow you to do some rebuilding, so you might wanna think about it in advance!

• Everyone will be going up to 20 point characters instead of 15 points.

• We'll be using Background Skills, so if you don't have those, you'll get 'em. This may mean you can move some Craft skills or the like to Background Skills, and use those ranks elsewhere on Adventuring Skills.

• The Wardens will get Mythic Tiers, just like the Wrath team, at the same breakpoint (upon reaching level 6).

Soon (TM). You basically need to rescue the Eagle Watch Knights here, one way or another - or leave them to be devoured by the demons, your choice! Then when you return to Defender's Heart you'll get xp for defeating enemies, for rescuing the knights, and for your first settlement turn, which will push you to level 2.

So since we are getting more ability points and a few other cool things for hitting level 2, can I change a few things with Sario?

I will just go straight druid, no archetype, So she can be more of a caster. I will switch her up to Storm nature Bond instead of Badlands.

Yes, when we hit level 2 (after this craziness) everyone can do a little tweaking. Having more points means that certain builds are more viable so I expect people will want to "settle in" their characters in a slightly different form.

Interesting, they are pretty good at battle field control with the spells they have, I will probably try that with Sario as well.

Being able to spontaneously cast your domains spells is just sweet.
And at 9th, you will get a second domain, although their domain selection list is limited; they are still good.
Arkhan is my favorite character (along with my Slums Shaman in my Hell's Rebels home game) that I currently have going.

I am still having trouble fully realizing Merlin, as of yet.
The new changes at second may help...lol.

I find 15 point is hard to make a character that you like since it is pretty limited, you cannot have 1 good score because the rest will suffer, but then again is the game really balanced around having all good scores and steam rolling?

Would the game be more harder and the CR system work better with 15 point buy instead of 25?

I like 20 point buys, but, yes, at higher levels, the CR can't match up with a party of 6.

20 is the balance between challenge and viable fun characters from level 1, unless you play a class that works mostly off of one or two abilities

There we go - updated Luci to 20 point buy and Level 2. Didn't do anything with Background Skills because I only remembered that they were an option as I was typing this. If I don't say anything about them in the next day or so, assume I'm not using them.

EDIT: There we go - put the background skill points into Craft (Carpentry) (her dad's a carpenter) and Appraise (she dated a jeweler's daughter).
