Adinauf Dhaunvirl |
Adin gives an inner groan. He knew it, thats what you get for flashing big coin. He readies a spell, sooner or later they were going to pounce. Let it be a simple gang of drunken pirates looking for an easy mark.
"Most visits I stop by, giving respect to the gods never hurts. More so when your in their domain."
He whsipers to them.
"My guess is its someones who have come to relieve you of your heavy purse. At best just some greedy drunkerds."
Kolm Godhand |
Spoken low to Adin and Avlar:
If it's just a bunch of drunkards, they won't be a problem. Not a man who has tried to tangle with this Iron Wall has walked away with anything gained but wounds. If they do get away, it's because I let them and me legs don't carry me that fast. In any case, they shouldn't be a problem.
Voice of Awesomeness |
The ghost nods his head "I can indeed. There are several incredibly powerful outsiders who possess a mastery of time itself, the most infamous being the Archdevil Lord Darkwind. There are others however, it is possible that one of them aided Treerazer with a Chronos Orb, a minor artifact that among other abilities can replicate what happened here."
Team Churchgoers:
You're followed all the way back to the inn, yet no attack comes. Adin, you note this as especially odd. Could they be tailing for some reason other than to rob you?
Voice of Awesomeness |
"There are a few ways one can manipulate the power of time, yet you are not yet learned enough to be able to use most of that knowledge. There is however one way I could impart on you, a lesser, weaker version of one of the most powerful spells an arcanist can use to bend chronal energies. What say you?"

"I'm intrigued. Go on."
Voice of Awesomeness |
"It's a spell of decent power, and if you provide me with your spellbook, I can scribe it in there for you."
Meredian Adriatnaic |

** spoiler omitted **
"Very well."
Mer retrieves his spell book from it's hiding place in his ring (ala glove of storing).
Voice of Awesomeness |
Upon presenting your spellbook, the arcane sigils for the spell writes themselves in.
Once done, the rest of the group shows up, knocking the door of the inn room, requesting entry into your magickal abode. You let them in, then explain the statue and powers of the ghost.
Adin and crew inform you and Pinky about being tailed, with the captain noting that how odd it was that they weren't attacked.
Meredian Adriatnaic |
Meredian Adriatnaic wrote:"We must live interesting lives when not being attacked is the event of the day." Mer jests.Well, I'd as soon we weren't tailed in the first place, lad.
"The day someone isn't trying to kill me will be the day after someone succeeds.... And that'll just be boring. I digress, So, what are we doing now?"
Pinky |
Pinky lounges in the fruit basket, nibbling away at some succulent pears and other tasty fruits. She starts to drowse off, when (for those watching the slumbering pseudodragon) you see a spot on his chest flash a dark purplish color, then fades into the ambient lighting.
The effect on Pinky could not be more dramatic. He leaps into the air as if stung by a bee, muttering to himself in the Draconic tongue. Bits and pieces you all catch are draconic curses, interspersed with bits like "How is that possible...no way...interdimensional space no good...I don't want to leave....WHY ME? Why a Convocation now?"
After a few moments, the muttering subside and everyone hears telepathically. "Well, no easy way to put this but I have to leave now. Wish I could explain further, but suffice it to say I got a summons that it is best NOT to ignore, if one wants to continue breathing that is. So I am saying goodbye to all of you."
He flies over to each one of the party members and salutes each one of them with a wave of his poisoned tail. Finally he alights on Meridian's shoulder for one last time.
He then flies off to the entrance of the extra dimensional space, and turns one last time.
Goodbye.
He then flies off, fading from view and out of sight.
Please check the OOC thread.
Kolm Godhand |
I didn't see that you had him explain the powers of the statues. Here we go.
Alrigh', so ye're sayin' this statue is super-powerful, then? I sometimes have trouble hitting others, before they give up, that is. It would be right nice if I could get some help landing hits. Not that I really need it, of course.
Just as it seems to be that he's admitting weakness, his dwarven pride takes over, denying his need for help hitting targets, although it has been fairly apparent, at least against actual threats.

It's right there, in game. Not Mer's fault
Voice of Awesomeness |
"Back into a human? Alas, I can not. Such is beyond even my power. Only the gods themselves, or beings akin to them could reverse such a change."
He looks to Kolm "You seek to devastate your foes more easily in combat, yes? I believe I can be of assistance there."
Voice of Awesomeness |
The ghost says some words in a language none of you can understand, and suddenly Kolm feels more sure of his combat capabilites, which is an impressive feat, considering.
You can now cast True Strike 3/day as a SLA.
Also, 1/day you may cause one attack(not a full attack) to be an Unavoidable Strike. This is treated as a Touch Attack that consumes the rest of your True Strikes for the day. You must have at least 1 True Strike available to use this ability.
