Bel'Tanis |

Ah! I forgot about my acid resistance earlier! I only took 1 point of damage =D
Recovering slightly, Bel'Tanis turns around to see the mutant goblin completely surrounded. Tentatively, he draws a dagger and tries to thread the proverbial needle, hurling it through the press of bodies at the enemy in the center of it.

DM-Valkur |

Thaddeus you quickly get around the goblins three armed defense, striking the creature in the chest. It gurgles out some more acidic blood out if its mouth, then slumps to the ground dead.
Combat over, great job, he was a nasty little bugger.
Items Found
Red Glowing Scimitar
Silver Dagger
Masterwork Hand Axe

Midori Masaki |

Midori breaths a sight of relief as the creature falls.
"This creature has -changes- like those skeletons in the other room. How odd...and implying that who or whatever created them is still active."
She looks at the items and comments "I guess I'd best learn to identify magic items as soon as I can."

Thaddeus Pruitt |

Thaddeus nods accordingly, before asking for Iomedae to show him where the magical energies lie. As he looks at them, he tries to discern any of the magical qualities inherent in them.
Detect Magic (with spellcraft in case any are magical)
Spellcraft Scimitar 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 CL 8 item
Spellcraft Dagger 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 CL -2 item
Spellcraft Hand axe 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 CL 0 item
After he looks them over, he offers to help Midori, "When we get some down time, I would be willing to teach you what I know of the patterns of magical fluctuation, and how to read the emanations to discern qualities of spells or items bearing magical bonds."

Scoria the Stalwart |

Scoria nods, before maneuvering her way down the southern path, keeping herself quiet and stealthy as she looks around. "Please finish healing Sergeant Thaddeus." She requests of Midori and Khrondak. "Should you lack the capacity, I prepared myself before coming down here with the purchase of life-saving healing potions."
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

DM-Valkur |

The Scimitar is magical:
Aura:Faint, Enchantment
+1 Scimitar that deals 1 point of fire damage per hit.(glows red)
Silver Dagger is just a silver dagger, and the hand axe is masterwork.
Also you notice under each trap door is a 20' deep pit that contains what appears to be a zombie. The creatures just aimlessly flail around in the pits. They do not appear to be able to escape.
11 total zombies.
Darn nobody tried to step on a door during combat!

Thaddeus Pruitt |

Thaddeus shakes his head, his hands motioning toward Bel'Tanis as if giving an offering "No thank you. The weapon of my goddess is that of the kind which I now bear. It will remain my primary choice of means to push back the evil that threatens to corrupt this world any way it can."

Notick Mostriaré |

Notick raises his hands in the air. "Ah... Well, not to sound like Mr. Lawman here, but I'm going to have to decline as well. My weapon suits my needs thus far. It's all yours."
He pauses for a moment before speaking again, "Perhaps we should open one of these doors to see what's beneath them?!"

Scoria the Stalwart |

Disrupt Undead is an arcane cantrip, sad to say.
Scoria doesn't much care for the conversation about the trapped zombies or the confiscated weapons from the goblinoid. She's vastly more concerned that despite having suffered such a grievous wound, Thaddeus has yet to actually ask for any healing.
She walks over to him, crossing her arms and staring stoically at the leader. "...You are seriously hurt." She points out. "You need healing. Please request it. Now." Her tone made it apparent she wasn't planning on budging from this issue until he did so.

Thaddeus Pruitt |

Thaddeus stares at the woman, if nothing else, he can say she is pragmatic. He wonders if her 'concern' is more one of the efficiency of a fully invigorated fighting force, or actual worry over his personal well-being. Regardless, she is right, he is heavily wounded still. "Thank you for your concern, Scoria Stonemason, I have been remiss in requesting assistance in my eagerness to help." Turning to Khrondak he asks, "Brother Iron-Forged, would your god see fit to give you the power to close some of my wounds earned in a violent battle with a dangerous foe?"
To the others he turns and offers his opinion of the creatures. "I am possessed of the ability to slowly dismantle them with positive energies, but I believe Bel'Tanis is correct. We should continue looking for the more immediate threats, then when we are done we can destroy these foul things at our leisure."
I have the spell, and actually have it memorized

Notick Mostriaré |

Notick nods in agreement over the undead. "It may be wise to leave them living. We could ask the Father if he has any means of tracing their magic that binds them. It could give us some useful information on what is going on."

Scoria the Stalwart |

Once Scoria is satisfied that Thaddeus has been healed properly, she continues to move down past the southern door, scouting ahead for any kind of danger.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Scoria the Stalwart |

There seems to be no reason to go down the stairs sealed by rubble - which leaves only the southern most door to examine. She checks first to see if the door is trapped, before opening it up to see what lays beyond it.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

DM-Valkur |

This strange room is a 15' diameter sphere. Several objects float about the room, spinning lazily in space - a ragged book, a scroll, a bottle of wine, a dead raven surrounded by a halo of floating and writhing maggots, and a twisted iron wand with a forked tip. Yet perhaps the most unnerving aspect of the room is the walls, for they plated in sheets of strange red metal that ripple every once in a while with silent black electricity that seems to coalesce into strange runes or even words far too often fr the effect to be chance.

Scoria the Stalwart |

Scoria pauses as she looks around the very strange room - a sphere, with objects floating within it. She thinks for a moment as she looks at the spinning items, before testing the waters, so to speak - she leans out, one hand gripping the door frame, to see if she can float the same way as the objects.
If she can find herself just as weightless in the room as the objects floating within, she will push herself towards the items, attempting to grab every object other than the dead raven. She will also be on the lookout inside for any way forward, of if they've come into a dead end.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Scoria the Stalwart |

"I need no rope," Scoria comments, maneuvering herself carefully by pushing off the walls to grab all of the items inside, aside from the dead raven. It is rather disorientating, but she feels that she can navigate well enough, so long as she doesn't end up trapped in the center.
Acrobatics check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Or, if it's a Fly check...
Fly Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Here's hoping it's not a Fly check!

Notick Mostriaré |

The half-elf shakes his head at the stonemason's immediate headlong 'dive' into the room. He shrugs helplessly at the peanut galleries comments, but does add his own perspective. Smirking as he makes his remarks, "Could always utilize my simple cantrip to call the item's she's diving for, and/or pull her back if a small amount of force is needed."

Thaddeus Pruitt |

Thaddeus looks on, concern over her swimming in the nothing, apparent in his features. He says a quick prayer, and tries to recognize what type of magic is in play.
He leans over to Notick and asks, "You can Mage Hand? I had not prayed for it this morning, but had thought it would have come in handy when I saw the room's contents floating about as they are." He watches Scoria float about the room grabbing at the items, before leaning over to Notick once again. "You know, for one focused on the meditative pursuit of self-perfection, do you think she seems rather impatient? I would think we would be better served knowing what we were dealing with, and what we had at our disposal, before we dove in head first, as it were."
Detect Magic
Spellcraft 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

DM-Valkur |

Detect Magic: Faint, Transmutation, Levitate
Scoria you find after a few moments in the room you are mentally able to control your movements with just a thought. You are able to collect all of the items (except the raven!) and return to the door.
Detect Magic on the items.
Bottle of Wine, not magical.
Book, not magical and written in a sinister looking language.
Iron Wand, Faint, Evocation.
Scroll, Arcane.

Scoria the Stalwart |

Scoria will hand over all of the items to Thaddeus for identification and to take a look through them, glad to stand once more on solid earth. "This seems to be a dead end. We should go back and explore the areas we have not been," she comments, waiting for everyone to finish up so she can lead the way.

Thaddeus Pruitt |

Thaddeus will investigate the items that had glowed with magic auras, studying them to discern what qualities they may possess. The wand is somewhat baffling, but he just may be able to make out what is scribed on the scroll.
Detect Magic

Spellcraft Scroll 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Notick Mostriaré |

Notick smirks at Thaddeus's comment, nodding in somewhat agreement. "I thought I would have been the one being impatient with everyone. Odd turn of events for me - and enjoyably humorous." He fake coughs to somewhat try and hide his comment as the Stonemason appears back from the floating room. He peeks in, looking curiously at the item left behind. "What's wrong with the bird?! I could be valuable evidence."
Notick will help Thaddeus with his work on the magical items, aiding him as he looks into the items.

Midori Masaki |

"Well, at least we know there's nothing behind us. But, what is this place? And where is this 'lover' Tsuto was ranting about? Let's head back and check those other doors."
Midori watches Thaddeus and Notick as they study the items, hoping to learn some techniques.

Khrondak Iron Forged |

While the others focus on the items retrieved by Scoria, Khrondak stares at the strange walls trying to figure out the words that show up every now and then. He hits the wall next to the entrance with his shield, waiting to see if it reacts in any way.
He agrees with Midori's suggestion. "Yes. Let's see what's behind the door down that hallway."

Scoria the Stalwart |

"It is possible that Nualia is not here." Scoria points out apathetically to Midori. "Tsuto's journal mentioned specifically that she burned her father's remains at a shrine in Thistletop. It is likely that she is there. This place is home to the quasit and this Malfeshnekor...again, going by his journal." The stonemason looks around. "I do not know what purpose this place possesses. But it is old - certainly far older than Sandpoint."
She pushes herself off of the wall, looking at the rest of the party - as soon as they have all finished with the divvying of magic items and whatnot, she will start to lead the way back - exploring the closest area they haven't been in first.
By the map, that would be the one down the hallway by the statue room.

DM-Valkur |

Scoria you cautiously open the door to revel a small circular room that contains a washing basin that is lined with skulls around the rim in the center. There is a door directly across the room.
As you scan the room for danger you notice a small creature that looks disturbingly like a human head with writhing tentacles and bat like wings as it leaps to the attack.

Scoria the Stalwart |

It's a small room, and there was little room for the others behind her. Scoria understood enough to duck forward and make as much room as she could for the others to come in as well.
