Firavel Mandorellian |

I think Jean's first shot in round 1 would have done half damage, since he was already using magical arrows. I'll assume Firavel used a non-magic arrow since it did half damage with Lysa's ability (assuming the 1d3+1 was from Firavel's attack).
Firavel fires off another arrow but his shot flies wide.
Attack w/ arrow +1: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 1 = 8

DM Haldhin |

Firavel (and all), I'm tracking damage separately, the rolls behind my screen were not related to damage. You're correct regarding the 1/2 damage from the arrows, and I was also assuming non-magic arrows with Lysa's ability.
Round Three
22 Leon
17 Sethis
15 Mithias
12 The Splatter Man
05 Wyldling
01 Lysa
01 Firavel
01 Jean
Leon continues to scratch The Splatter Man's true name into the spellbook... "H E A"
Sethis swings at the closest rat, bashing it in the head, causing it to disappear with a small puff of acrid smoke.
Mithias (TBD)
The Splatter Man casts another spell and four more magic missiles fly out, two at Leon and two at Lysa. 5 damage each missile, so 10 each
The rat in front of Jean tries to bite him, but it misses terribly. The rat attacking Leon also fails in its attack.
The Wyldling moves across the room and kills the rat that had been threatening Jean.
Lysa uses her ability on Jean, who then takes the opportunity to launch two arrows at The Splatter Man. The first sails over his head to clatter against the stone ceiling, but the second arrow punches a hole in his incorporeal body. Lysa, doing requires you to move across the room to stand beside Jean. No AoOs or anything to worry about.
Firavel fires another arrow, but it flies wide of his target.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
-----
Mithias, please post two actions - one for this round and one for next.
Updated map posted tonight.
Next round!

Jean Whitemane |

Seeing that he now has a good chance to take the spirit down, Jean pulls two more arrows from his quiver and continues to fire them at the Splatter Man.
Attack1: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 18
Attack1: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 28
damage1: 1d8 + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 12
damage2: 1d8 + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 14
Critical confirmation Roll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Mithias Mead |

Round 3:
Mithias grunts with pain, as the magic bolt slams into him. Suddenly a shudder runs through him and his skin ripples. He drops his spear, as his fingers lengthen into claws and his bones crackle, as his face protrudes into a short muzzle. Frantically he digs through his pack, finally producing a large syringe, which he injects without hesitation into his neck. The change soon stops, but Mithias remains in a bestial form. (SA: Use mutagen +4 str, -2 Int, +2AC, Beastmorph special ability: Darkvision 60', 30min duration)
Shuddering from the change he moves to intercept a rat.
Round 4:
If in melee range, Mithias attacks with tooth and claw:
Claw 1(power attack): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 6 - 1 = 25
Confirm: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 - 1 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 3 = 13
Claw 2(PA): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 1 = 10
Bite(PA): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 1 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 3 = 10
If nothing is in melee range, he will move and attack (just claw 1 results)

Firavel Mandorellian |

Round 4. Init 1.
Firavel reaches into his quiver and pulls out another magic arrow. He then knocks it and lets fly.
Attack w/ arrow +1: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 1 = 9
Full damage w/ magic arrow and Lysa's ability [which lasts 3 rounds]

DM Haldhin |

Round Three
Mithias suddenly changes form, appearing much more bestial than before!
Round Four
22 Leon
17 Sethis
15 Mithias
12 The Splatter Man
05 Wyldling
01 Lysa
01 Firavel
01 Jean
Leon scribes the final letter of the undead wizard's name into the spellbook! He looks up expecting to see some reaction... and is rewarded as the edges of The Splatter Man appear to rip and tear, threatening to completely dissolve him if he does not overcome the group!
Sethis casts a spell, while Mithias tears one of the dire rats apart!
The Splatter Man casts another spell, and four more magic missiles fly out, hitting Leon, Jean, Firavel, and Lysa. 3 damage to Leon, Jean, and Firavel, 6 damage to Lysa.
The Wyldling destroys another rat, sending the last one back to its home plane of existence.
Lysa channels positive energy, healing her comrades and apparently injuring The Splatter Man!
Firavel shoots another arrow which pierces the ghost's body with noticeable effect, while Jean fires two arrows, one of which also tears a hole in the monster's image.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3
1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3
1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3
1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6
-----
It appears The Splatter Man has started to disappear - if you can hold out for a few more rounds, it appears as if he might completely dissolve!
Next round!

Leon Ravencourt |

With a triumphant laugh, Leon jumps up just in time to be hit again by another unerring bolt of energy. "I'm getting really tired of that." he growls, rushing in past the rats to close with the Splatter Man and lash out at him with Lopper's axe.
Attack (axe is magic): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
AoO (if he casts another spell): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Jean Whitemane |

I'm not sure if my attack was counted or not. If not then Jean will hold an attack action to interrupt Splatter Man. If it was counted then Jean will just hold his attack.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 27
damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 13

Firavel Mandorellian |

Round 5. Init 1.
No longer feeling the effect of Lysa's ability, Firavel pulls out the one remaining ghost touch arrow and sighs. Let's hope this will work. Following Jean's lead, he then waits until the Splatter Man acts before letting fly.
I think I calculated the timing correctly, Lysa's ability lasts three rounds, I think, and Fir has taken three attacks. Even if I was slightly off, I expect his delaying/readying until the next round will definitely make him unaffected by the ability.
Free action draw Ghost Touch Arrow
Ready action to interrupt any offensive action made by the Splatter Man. Maybe wait a split second after Jean, in case he is defeated by then (and thus saving the last Ghost Touch Arrow for a rainy day).
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6

Mithias Mead |

Apparent Mithias does have a Haunt siphon, so we'll use that then.
Mithias tears through his pack to find his siphon, opening it to damage the Splatter man,
HS: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2) = 9

DM Haldhin |

Round Five
22 Leon
17 Sethis
15 Mithias
12 The Splatter Man
05 Wyldling
01 Lysa
01 Firavel
01 Jean
Leon charges into combat with The Splatter Man and tries to hit him with the axe, but cannot breach the ghost's defenses.
Sethis and Wyldling hold back, watching for an opening in which to attack.
Mithias unleashes his haunt siphon which literally pulls a portion of The Splatter Man into the glass vial.
The Splatter Man attempts to defensively cast another spell, but in his attempt at remaining safe, he is unable to make the proper gestures, and his spell fails. Rolled a 1 on his cast defensive check!
Lysa holds her action to see if anyone else is injured.
Firavel and Jean both draw arrows and line up The Splatter Man in their sights in case he tries to cast another spell.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
-----
The Splatter Man is looking extremely pale and harried, and the haunt siphon didn't help matters.
Next round - likely the last one!

Leon Ravencourt |

On a whim, Leon opens the book the the bloody name he'd just written and swings the Splatterman's own spellbook at him!
Attack, Improvised weapon (touch attack?): 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 15
"How about a taste of your own medicine, Haem?"

DM Haldhin |

Leon opens the moldy spellbook in which he inscribed The Splatter Man's true name. A loud keening echoes around the chamber and the ghost's face takes quickly turns from arrogance to terror. A bright orange light shoots out of the book toward The Splatter Man. As you watch, the ghost is pulled into the book, which leaps out of Leon's hand, falling to the ground and closing.
The once moldy book now appears as if it was new - the cover is unblemished, and there is no sign of mold or wear.
The Splatter Man is no more.
-----
I assume the group searches the area...
Several glittering objects can be seen deep in the pit of water, which turn out to be a longsword, a dagger, and a ring.
-----
There are two ways out of this cellblock - you can return to the main room and head toward "Reaper's Hold", or you can head through the secret door.

Lysa Arianna |

Oh come on, who could pass up a secret door? :)
Lysa takes a moment to more closely examine Leon's hand taking it in her own as she checks to make sure he did no lasting damage to it when writing in the Splatter Man's book. That last channel still went off to heal people back up.
"That was quite an idea. Cutting yourself like that and using your blood to write in that creature's book. It doesn't seem as if you cut deep enough to damage any tendons. How does it feel now?"
When the glittering objects have been retrieved, Lysa will examine them using Detect Magic.
Spellcraft sword 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Spellcraft dagger 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Spellcraft ring 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
"Hmm, they all have magic about them, but I can only figure out right now that the dagger is enchanted to add to one's aim and damage dealt."
Looking between the two exits to the room, Lysa asks: "Shall we take the secret door? I am rather curious what might lie beyond it."

Sethis Reis |

spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
"I'm not too sure about the sword but the ring is defensive. I've heard of them before, acting somewhat like an extra layer of armour. I'm a bit curious as to why this prison has a secret door as well."
protection +1 ring

Leon Ravencourt |

"That was quite an idea. Cutting yourself like that and using your blood to write in that creature's book. It doesn't seem as if you cut deep enough to damage any tendons. How does it feel now?"
"Oh, I'm fine." Leon says, blushing a little at the fact that Lysa was actually holding his hand.
Get it together, dummy. She's just checking for wounds. It doesn't mean anything. I think.
"I could have gotten it done quicker, I think, but I kept running out of 'ink' every time you'd do that heal thingy. Had to open myself up three times." he was smiling as he said it, but there was something odd in his eyes.
Way to go genius, now she'll think you don't appreciate her.
"Which, uh, is way better than being dead. Thanks."

Lysa Arianna |

Lysa looks a little confused as she speaks with Leon. I don't think he's complaining. Not really anyway, but he just seems to babble on a bit when talking to me. Do priests make him nervous for some reason?
"You're welcome Leon. I'm glad you're not dead."
Ok, now that sounded as odd as what he said and ah, why am I still holding his hand? A bit surprised to realize that she was still holding his hand, Lysa slightly blushes as she releases it, turning to examine the weapons and ring.

Mithias Mead |

Mithias will pick up the spellbook and leafs through it. He also sniffs at the sword,
Spellcraft (sword): 1d20 + 11 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 11 - 1 = 27
"The sword is enchanted for strength and sharpness. (+1 keen longsword)
"Nicely done Leon, that was some quick thinking. Shall we investigate the secret door?"
@DM Haldhin: The mutagen has a 30min duration, so just let me know when you think that much time has passed.

Jean Whitemane |

Oh goody! A new Longsword... as long as no-one objects. I am totally willing to give up any future loot for all of these magic items I keep picking up. Also of course secret doors!
Jean watched the exchange between Leon and Lysa with some amusement.
Even in the middle of of a dungeon.
"That spirit has definitely dissipated." Said Jean, cutting through the atmosphere. "This door here looks interesting. Let's stay focused people."

DM Haldhin |

Mithias, the spellbook still contains several arcane spells: comprehend languages, dispel magic, false life, gust of wind, illusory script, levitate, mage armor, magic missile, and summon monster IV.
Please make a Will save DC 18; you'll get through the next encounter with the mutagen affecting you without a problem.
-----
The secret door leads to a narrow natural cavern that leads to the west. It ends in another door, very similar to the one you entered from (i.e. another secret door).
You can see a large room through a tiny peephole in the door. From what you can see, it appears to be some kind of torture chambe.

DM Haldhin |

Numerous grisly tools of torment decorate the room, from cages to hanging chains along the walls to a stretching rack, a large wooden tank, and a fire pit in the middle of the room. To the east stands a grim iron maiden, the lid closed and presenting a stern decoration of a tormented woman upon its face. The broken, twisted skeleton of a human dressed in a tattered guard’s uniform lies upon the stretching rack in the middle of the room; the body is surrounded by several discarded knives, branding irons, and pliers. A large, bloodstained wicker basket sits at the head of the rack.
A normal door is found in the northwest corner of the room leading to the north.
You are now in room U8 on the map - the secret door tunnel is U9.
You're pretty sure, given the lack of reactions around you, and you were the only person to hear that.

Lysa Arianna |

Lysa casts detect magic as she looks about the torture chamber.
Lysa nervously follows the others in the chamber, staying close behind Leon.
"I really, really don't know if I should suggest this or not, but is anyone curious if there is anyone or anything inside the iron maiden?"

DM Haldhin |

The lid of the iron maiden is opened to reveal... nothing. Even the nails that typically line the inside of such devices are missing.

Jean Whitemane |

Jeans eyes widen in a near panic as he throws his bow to the ground and rushes forward toward the iron maiden.
"Father, Nooooo! I'll save you."
Jean is rushing forward to get to the Iron maiden and is overrunning anyone who tries to stop him.
Overrun: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

DM Haldhin |

Jean charges toward the iron maiden, which slams closed, trapping him inside.
His screams echo in the room, indicating the pain he is suffering!
Please make a Will save DC 14; success means you resist the mental assault, failure means you suffer 2 Wis and 4 damage.

Jean Whitemane |

It felt like he was running in slow motion. He saw his father, so strong, so powerful a man, trapped and suffering in agony. There was no enemy to fight, he was just there. A torrent of emotions were shooting through Jean; disbelief, fear, anger, sorrow and then desperation.
He got to the iron maiden, and as he stretched his arms out to grab his father he felt... nothing as the door slam closed shutting him inside and then the pain of nails shot through him.
Jean had just turned 12 when he had been taken in for aptitude testing. One of the first things he had been tested for was his tolerance of pain. His trainer was known for his effectiveness, but not his kindness. In retrospect, Jean had found experience was never kind. His father had seen to that.
"It seems you won't ever be truly strong Jean. Let's see if your body's resilience can make up for it's weakness. Marakov, he's yours. I'll return next season."
Will save:: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
That year was a kind of hell for Jean. He had never been terribly strong in body but that didn't stop his trainer from constantly pushing him to exhaustion and nearly driving him to death on long runs. He thought about quitting, he thought about just running away but he was always so tired he knew he would never get far, he even considered just falling down and not getting back up at times. But somewhere deep in his mind he knew his father was expecting him to fail, was wanting to here that his son had just given up. He was not like his older brothers everything had come so easily to them. He had to work hard for anything and that gave him strength. He persevered through sheer force of will. By the 3rd month he had finally gotten used to the harsh training and he began to get stronger all the while counting down the months till his father arrived. Somehow he managed to survive the year and his father returned.
"Hmm, not bad Marakov. You've turned Jean from a boy to a man. Come Jean, the next phase of your training will begin when we've returned home."
Jean snapped back to himself, pain was shooting through him but he held himself together.
"Leon, Lysa, Mithias, anyone get me out of here!"
