Setsuna Kailani |

Setsuna finishes summoning her Celestial Ankylosaurus. It takes a moment to find a place to conjure him, but she eventually locates the perfect spot: one with a small gap in space between the summon and the bears. The dinosaur materializes quickly and swings its tail at the nearest enemy. The animal has no idea what hit it; a sickening crack echoes through the air as the bear's head is clubbed by the holy Ankylosaurus' long and powerful tail.
Making full use of his excellent reach, the Celestial Ankylosaurus takes another swing with his tail when one of the unwounded bears inevitably tries to close the distance between them.
Setsuna flies over to her summoned creature and gets ready to start throwing healing magic at him to keep him alive as long as possible. Hopefully, Zoli can distract the giants while their holy dinosaur can club the bears into submission.
___________________________________
Setsuna uses a standard action to finish summoning the Celestial Ankylosaurus. She summons him 15 feet away from one of the bears. With his 15 foot reach, he clubs one of the bears and gets a confirmed crit. The bear needs to roll a DC 25 to avoid being stunned for 1d4 rounds; I already rolled those since the attack was a confirmed crit.
When a bear approaches him, he makes an AoO if possible. Again, 15 foot reach.
Setsuna flies over to the ankylosaurus.

Bear Fort Save - DC 25: 1d20 ⇒ 6
If Failed, Rounds Stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 1
AoO Tail (PA): 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 16 - 2 = 24
Damage: 3d6 + 15 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1) + 15 + 6 = 30
If that hits, then the bear needs to make a DC 25 Fort Save to avoid being dazed.
The Celestial Ankylosaurus has 95 HP and DR 5/Evil. He is a huge creature with 15 foot reach.

As oblivious as she can be, Setsuna actually notices Zoli's lack of her usual chipper.
"...Everything alright, Zoli?" the Oracle says carefully. "You seem... upset about something. And you rarely get upset over anything."
Somewhere in the back of her demented mind, Setsuna has a solid inkling about what has the cute Halfling down.

Rilee Stormborn |

Just so we're clear, I'm waiting to cast animal growth for when we're right on top of the dragon.
Seeing that the dragon is much faster than Olympus, Rilee keeps the roc flying tightly around over the town. With it flying wide and around, she should be able to stay with it on the inside turn and keep the dragon from moving over the buildings.
"Let's see if we can't herd him to Eugeni," she whispers to Olympus, who lets loose an answering cry. "And I'll get his attention."
Begin casting call lightning.

ROUND 8:
The dragon slows tremendously as it nears the garrison, and bathes the building in a spray of dragonfire! The wooden watch post atop the building is immediately engulfed in flame, though the stone building beneath seems unscathed. Nevertheless, the horrific screams of the guardsmen stationed there are enough to carry merit to the dragons breath.

The celestial saurian manages to deliver a stunning blow to the first bear it attacks. As the other two roar defiantly at it and rush its position, the dinosaur manages to daze another one with its club-like tail. The third bear rakes his claws ineffectually against its plate covered hide.
Zoli delivers three significant cuts to the unsuspecting giant, who attempts to retaliate with a heavy slam of the club in his left hand. Zoli manages to deflect the blow easily, and opens another massive wound in the giant in the process!
The other giant heaves two massive stones at the dinosaur, one of which slams into the creatures shoulder with a heavy thud.

Notes:
The AoO damage should actually be 9 higher. +6 from power attack, and other +3 from the extra strength of Augmented Summons.
Just a reminder, Zoli has Greater Invisibility up. Her attacks get a +2 bonus from being Invisible, and they are against flat-footed AC. Also, it doesn't end when she attacks. I'm a bit surprised that they managed to spot her so quickly.
Also, was that rock damage before DR 5/Evil?

In the common tongue, the giant commands, "Drop your weapons, or this one dies!" as he grips the mans arms in one hand, his legs in another. It is clear the man is already quite stretched, as he screams out agonizingly in the hands of the powerful giant!
Thanks to her flight granting her a better perspective, Setsuna can see three more giants moving through town over by the mill pond. Two of them are busting out windows and snatching up people, putting them into large leather sacks on their hips!

Mory, don't forget the Blessing of Fervor.
When the bear's claw sinks into his hide, the celestial dinosaur groans in pain. He quickly beats his tail club against the beast as hard as he can.
Trusting Zoli, Mory, and her summoned creature to clean up the remaining giant and bears, the invisible Setsuna quickly flaps her wings and begins to fly south to deal with the new kidnapping giants.

Eugeni hops back off of the building and sprints off through the growing panic of the crowd in the streets desperately fleeing towards Xamarath's Enclave, forcing his way against the tide of bodies back down High Street! To the south, you hear a pair of deep voices yell out, "MORE PRISONERS!", followed by another saying, "Bring us your fat, greedy merchants, and we will spare your miserable lives! Ignore us and you'll burn in dragon fire!"
The dragon turns towards Rilee and Olympus, excitement and fury gleaming in its reptilian eyes. "Come, Wind Rider! Let us see who rules the skies over this pitiful town!" he taunts as he digs his claws into the stone roof of the Cathedral in anticipation...

Zoli slashes out at the giant clutching Larz in his hands, hoping to fell the giant before he can do any harm to the tanner. Despite opening two more deep cuts on the stone giant, he still stands! He roars in rage and pulls his arms apart as forcefully as he can, drawing a terrible scream of anguish from Larz Rovanky before the man is ripped in half at the waist! 1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Mory soon finds that he has an unexpected ally. Setsuna's summoned dinosaur wastes no time in vigorously smashing his powerful tail club against the remaining bear's head; despite not being fully sapient, the very spell calling him implants the knowledge of his summoner's enemies in his mind. Moreover, after all their bullying, the ankylosaurus just does not plain like bears by this point.
The mighty blows leave the bear dazed, freeing Mory from its grasp.
Upon hearing the creature go quiet, Setsuna randomly hopes that Mory is aware of how the Blessing of Fervor would let him stand up swiftly. From there, he could hypothetically punch the bear's face into a pulp.
Using her Blessing to fly faster, Setsuna decides to repeat her earlier summoning tactic and begins the process of calling another critter. Considering how well the ankylosaurus destroyed the bears, maybe one or two more buffed by her magic could stop the kidnapping giants.
