Nathaniel Greenfellow |

Nathaniel rushes into the room and shoves the guard with his shield.
(I'll allow it. Normally you can't move diagonally past a corner, but with the guard in a compromised state, it seems plausible.)
Ah, thanks. I had a niggling feeling that there was something I was missing, but I’d forgotten that particular rule.

Eliva Smith |

Eliva decides to rush forward and block the guards from summoning more help. She runs over to the far door before the guards have a chance to react, holding her bow uselessly in her hand as she's using her buckler to defend herself instead. She stops in front of the door, holding her gauntlet ready.
Move to K-7 as two move actions. AC is full 17 with readied buckler. She's trying to block the door - and keep it closed if it opens inward.

Res Thannq |

Res follows Eliva into the room. Filled with Gorum's battle rage, Res spies a guard to his left. He stops and takes a mighty swing at the guard with his great sword.
Move me to K9. Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24, damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 1) + 4 = 11
[Edit: possible critical hit. Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9, damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 2) + 4 = 12

Erfan Treefriend |

Is Guard 1 still a giggling mess and possibly granting CA?
All my laughing touch ability does is restrict him to a single move action and prevent him from taking attacks of opportunity for a round. He is not flat-footed nor do attackers receive any special bonuses to hit him, unfortunately.

Eliva Smith |

Eliva grits her teeth against the pain as the club connects powerfully and defends herself to the best of her ability.
Unless G3 is rendered unable to take an attack of opportunity, Eliva will use her standard action to maintain total defense (+4 dodge to AC). Otherwise she will cast cure light wounds on herself, healing 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 hp.

Angalia |

If she can move to flank with Res, she'll do that and attack. If not, she'll go to J10 and attack Guard 1 from there.
Attack v Guard 1 without CA (add +2 if she can get to I9).
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13. Looks like a miss.
Angalia moves to join the battle, hoping to help reduce the number of guards as fast as possible.

Celestial GM |

Save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Erfan's spell fails to daze the guard.
Since G3 can still make attacks, I am assuming Eliva is on total defense.
The first guard strikes back at Nathaniel. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 to hit, 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 damage.
The third guard attacks Res. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 to hit, 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 damage. He backs up a 5-foot step, away from the intruders.

Res watches the guard he first attacked fall to Angalia's deft attack. He evades the third guard's attack, takes a 5 foot step forward next to Nathaniel, and strikes back savagely with his great sword.
attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3) + 3 = 8

Nathaniel Greenfellow |

The hunchbacked guard bludgeons Nathaniel savagely, exhibiting surprising strength in his twisted frame. Nathaniel seems to back away warily, nursing bruised or cracked ribs, then suddenly strikes at the guard again from two sides, with axe and spiked shield.
Full attack. Axe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Spiked shield: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
If G1 falls with this attack, Nate will take a 5 foot step to M9.

Celestial GM |

Angalia slashes at a guard with her blade, but fails to connect. Meanwhile, Nathaniel cuts down one of the guards with his axe.
As Nathaniel steps into place beside the first guard, he becomes aware of the deranged and deformed prisoners reaching out of their bars, grasping at anyone close enough. Hooked fingers scrabble at cloth and flesh.
Reflex save, Nathaniel. DC 15 or you are Entangled and cannot move.
Squares adjacent to the cells will trigger this effect when anyone but the guards enter them. I will accept creative solutions to this particular entanglement, or the usual Strength or Escape Artist checks.

Erfan shuffles up into melee and reaches out to touch the guard's leg.
Move to L9, laughing touch vs. G3. 1d20+1 vs. touch AC. If successful, he gets only a move action on his turn, no save.
Since Res pointed out he was at L9, I moved you to L8.
The guard starts laughing helplessly. Eliva heals her injuries, and then, in desperation, the guard takes a 5 foot step closer to the door.

Res moves around Erfan to help Eliva keep the guard from escaping 5 foot step to K8. He takes another swing at the guard with his greatsword.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8, Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10
Res delivers a mighty blow, but the guard laughs at an inopportune time causing Res to miss.

Angalia |

Angalia moves in to help surround the giggling guard, dagger loose in her hand. She spots a likely opening and takes it. Although the resulting wound is only small, she is fairly sure she's hit a major nerve cluster.
Move to J8 and gain flanking.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 plus 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Eliva Smith |

Eliva shifted back away from the guard and brought her favored weapon to bear on him, drawing back her longbow string in an experienced pull for a point blank shot aimed at his heart.

Nathaniel shakes off the scrabbling hands and pushes past, trying to reach the last guard and strike him down.

Res Thannq |

Res continues his roar as the guard falls beneath his greatsword. He allows the adrenaline from the battle to flow through him for a moment before becoming aware again of the insane chattering of the prisoners. He tries to make sense of the chaos in the room.
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18, sense motive1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Res Thannq |

Spying an air of calm amid the chaos in one of the cells. Res moves cautiously over toward the cell to investigate further. Speaking in common, Res says "A little worse for wear, but you look much better than rest of this unfortunate lot." Res waves his hand toward the other prisoners still thrashing around wildly. "Who are you, and how did you come to be in such a dismal place?"
Distrustful of anything found in this hell hole, Res tries to discern if this dwarf is a friend or foe. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Urdrin Ironhaft |

"I be Urdrin Ironhaft, son of Gudrin Ironhaft. I came to this durned dark land through mists that overwhelmed me and me men at arms, while patrollin the mountains back home. We soon found ourselves in a place we didn't recognize. Me men were picked off the first night while travellin at night by shadows that moved. I managed to escape to this town, only to be attacked by the damnable villagers beaten and imprisoned. The durned eejits didn't even know what a dwarf was, by Torags hammer they better not have done nothing with me fathers axe, an' shield."

Res Thannq |

Res nods knowingly as he listens to the dwarf's story. "Yes, we unfortunately are well aware of the mist of which you speak. It captured the lot of us as we were attempting to save the sister of that man over there." Res motions toward Nathaniel. Continuing, "Unfortunately spiders have already claimed the life of one of our friends, and two more of our party have turned up missing. This is indeed a treacherous land. We have been told that there is no escape back to our homes, but I for one am not ready to relinquish that hope. With Gorum's might,we can wrench back this land from the tyranny that grips it and find a way home. What mountains did you call home?"

Urdrin Ironhaft |

"I be from the city of Rolgrimmdur of the Five Kings Mountains. I studied war from a young lad. My other profession was to be a field blacksmith and armorer. We were on a standard patrol, with no chance of danger when these mists showed out of nowhere, and I already telled you the rest. And I would love nothing better than to get back home."
