"Good point. I guess we wait then." Kimiko scowls slightly, and then starts doing some odd hand and finger excercises, making patterns with her digits and contemplating each one before going on to the next. With each one, she seems to grow calmer and soon the scowl on her face is replaced with a calm, serene expression.

Awakening... what are they speaking about? What is going on here? Maybe I should stay a bit behind a listen what they have. Others should be busy this moment in the waiting room. Ander thought to himself as he carefully tried to get closer to hear better

Gyasi |

Those of you who have been sitting and waiting at the table are meet by Gyasi. [/b] Master Goulfrvrim asked me to meet you here. He is running behind and wants you to remain here a while longer.[/b]

Kimiko looks up from her hands at Master Gyasi and nods. "As you wish, Master."
I wonder what's going on. Master Goulfvrim has never kept us waiting like this before. And where is Ander... I hope he's okay, he's rarely late, especially for breakfast. I don't feel so good myself suddenly... what was in that food?
When she hears the threat, she looks up in shock I'm assuming it was Gyasi who spoke since you are still using that alias. "What?"
init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Kimiko's first action would depend on who is where and what the exact situation is... Is she close enough to strike at Gyasi? Is this considered a surprise round? I'm kinda shaky on what to do since Gyasi rolled higher than I did for init, so even if it's no longer surprise, he goes before I do and could be gone or moved before I get an action... Also, Meria posted that she was leaving, going to Goulfvrim's room - does that happen before she leaves (since you rolled a saving throw for her)?

After you attack Gyasi the reality of the situation sets in. Please, I am just doing what master Goulfvrim wants, you don't understand they are using us. He says sounding sincere

Kimiko |

"They? who are 'they' and how are they using you? You attacked us with spells .. and poison.. Best explain yourself damn quick." Kimiko spins her kama blade slowly, the hilt held loosely in her hand, as she awaits his answer before perhaps attacking again - or not, depending on his reply.

Gyasi |

The ones who are behind the scenes. Look its not safe here we need to go I will tell youeverything. You can tie me up if you want. He says offering his hands in a bound position.

Kimiko |

"Where is it we need to go? and why didn't you just say this in the first place instead of trying to attack us with spells?" Kimiko has no rope on her... and scowls slightly as she contemplates whether to go with Gyasi or not... is he as earnest as he sounds? He was earnest enough while attacking us with his spells...

Ideas pop through his head as he and plans speed through as Ander ponders the best solution to this moment. He was not a good at hand-to-hand fighting although he had a bit muscles and was more than enough flexible for a wizard.
But still, someone was killed just a moment ago and by Goulfvrim. Preparing his spell to be cast Anders move out to see what happened and to confront Goulfvrim Master... What happened just moment ago?! What was this talking about not being ready... Ander asks suspiciously as he carefully keeps his distance and ready to burst out if something unnatural were to happen

Kimiko |

I don't think Ander ever joined us for breakfast... he is elsewhere

Goulfvrim Knile |

Look just come with me outside. Goulfvrim has a wagon waiting for us. You can ask him all of your questions. Gyasi says.
The celestial pony is gone now.

Kimiko |

Kimiko seems reluctant at first... then resigned... and she follows Gyasi out to the wagon. "You could have just asked in the first place, you know."

Goulfvrim Knile |

Goulfvrim and Anders meet up with Gyasi and the others in front of the compound where a wagon is waiting. Hurry Get In! Goulfvrim says as he opens the back of the wagon.
A strange looking human comes out of an adjacent building and begins to shed his disguise. He appears as a golem or automaton of some sort of human size.
As Goulfvrim and the Creature are speaking in truespeech the conversation is obviously heated and he is drawing his sword.

"Creature, we aren't prisoners here. Explain yourself!" Kimiko answers in common, not knowing if she can be understood... Still, she pauses, chained kama swinging from her hand. This creature seems to be one of good, or it implies it in its speech... so what is going on with Gyasi and Goulfvrim defying it? I wish I understood what was happening here.

Starts slowly, still unsure... if this is a creature of law and good, what is she doing disobeying it? Perhaps this is the wrong course, but she's also been well-trained to obey her Masters and so she goes to Gyasi with increasing speed, putting away her kama as she runs.

Meria Meridoath |

Not sure what to make of the events, Meria does the most obvious thing she can think of. She summons a pool of grease beneath the strange creature, hoping to enlist at least some small aid to Goulfvrim before turning and leaving with Gyasi.

Gyasi helps you all get in the wagon and starts to drive the wagon. If one of you would rather drive go ahead.
The creature misses Goulfvrim, and he uses the creatures momentum and the grease provided by meria to trip the creature. He then runs to the wagon and jumps on the back holding on.
We need to get out of Absolam. There will be more soon. He says still out of breath from the combat.

You travel for a few miles down the road until you come to a bridge that crosses a small river. Me and Gyasi have a santuary under this bridge. We must get something out of it befor we continue on. We should get rid of the wagon and take only what we need. I know you have questions, ask them as we go there is not much time. Goulfvrim says still constantly looking behind him to make sure no one has followed.

![]() |

As the wagon burst to motion and Ander fell among the junk. Speeding away and after near the river listening the explanation of his masters Ander could only ponder I have no idea what was that but might not be good. That cause... and not taking us away, what does they mean? A quick intake here would be okey but full explanation can come later as he look at the wagon and speaks again With the wagon we could just push it down some hill along the way and then keep going on while it could distract them to follow the wagon trails

Kimiko |

Kimiko watches behind, having no skill with driving or animals... "Yes, there are lots of questions, so many I'm not even sure where to begin. But for the sake of starting somewhere, how about telling us who 'they' are. That might give us a place to start with more questions." Kimiko keeps her eyes riveted on their surroundings, primarily flanks and behind, hoping the driver is watching ahead.

Goulfvrim Knile |

They are a race called the Inevitable. They are a militant force of the Axiomites. They want to use you and your he(he stops himself from saying something)... your abilities against another extraplanar race called the Proteans. He stops and considers Ander's suggestion.
I think we shall just push it down river. With some luck it will float ashore and throw them off track.

Kimiko |

"Sounds like a sound plan..." Kimiko helps with pushing the wagon into the river once it's empty.
"Why us? We're just basically beginners... what can we do against such creatures as these?"

Brakkart Delmadhi |

"Great potential?" Brakkart asks in a still slightly bewildered tone, "surely that could be said of anyone willing to see their goals through, while enduring all the difficulties that arise along the way."
Helping to push the wagon, the priest stops for a moment to look at his two teachers, "from that inevitable's words, it sounded as though you had been working with them until just recently. If they're trying to use us as pawns in some otherworldy war of theirs, they seem like just the sort of beings our order was founded to oppose; why did you trust them? And perhaps more to the immediate point, what changed that?"

Goulfvrim Knile |

The order was formed by the Inevitables. They have been working towards the good of the people in the past, but I found out what they were really after. It was an inevitable that saved me from a dungeon in Nidal. I owed them I thought, but I could not let them use my students.
He makes his way under the bridge and opens a secret door. There is a device I have in here that we will carry with us. It will obscure us from divinations while on the road. Push that wagon down river once you have everything you need.

Kimiko |

Kimiko lofts a brow as she watches him open the secret door, and then looks in the wagon to see what it contains that they might need. She will unload anything that looks like it might come in handy on the road and on the run.
Goufvrim's words have her wonder... and finally she asks, "Can you be specific. What is it they were really after... exactly? Can you tell us? Or is that part of what has to wait til you get us to your 'friends'?"

Goulfvrim Knile |

I have some suspicions, but I will know for sure once we meet up with the Rift Warden cell in Galt. In short your family has some history with a creature called The Avatar of Monad, for some reason the inevitables are interested in this.
He continues to answer your questions as you continue to travel on foot.

Goulfvrim Knile |

We will be getting a ship, but not at Diobel. We will head north through the Kortos Mountains. I know an old underground passage that will take us to a small port that will ferry us over to Escadar. There we will secure passage to Almas, in Andoran. He stops and looks at Brakkart Galt is dangerous, but so is everywhere else. With the Inevitables and Proteans looking to get a hold of you, I doubt anywhere is really safe.

Kimiko |

sounds fine to me, I'm good on 1st watch
