What are you?


Arvid feels as if his body were nonexistent as a torrent of images floods his brain. A primordial place full of plants and fungi. He experiences memories of being a sporling, and growing into the form he sees before him now. He understands what it's like to be able to read someone's thoughts as easily as seeing what they look like. These swirling alien images and memories are the only response he gets.


"What's going on Arvid-kun? I don't really know how to read your expressions, but you're acting strangely."

There is a strange creature in this room. It trys communicate with me, but it onyl seems to be able to show me pictures.
It seems to be some kind of living fungus and I have the impression, that it is able to read my thoughts.
I can't say if it is hostile. I'll try to negotiate with him.

To the fungus:
I'm Arvid. I'm pleased to meet you. My friends here and myself are imprisoned in this place like you and we are hopeful that you would be peaceful too.


Arvid feels an overwhelming hunger coming from the fungal critter. ::Food! Hunger! Devourings!::

He can feel the creature's hunger growing at the offer of meat, and images of decaying critters being eaten by fungus fill his brain. It approaches to the doorway and stops.

Rinko you are confused and distracted by the flood of alien images that enters your mind at the sight of the creature (-2 on attack rolls while in sight of him).

The fungus trundles after Arvid, and once in the Morlocs' room lashes out with its tentacles and drags the dead humanoid close to itself, before beginning to chew on it. A wave of relief and contentment fills the party as they watch it eat.

I hope this will corroborate the peace between us. If we find anything for you to eat, we willinng to provide it to you. Just a little bit to the north you'll find some kind of dead worm.

I think we should further try to find the exit of this dungeon. Let's go further south.

Arvid finds the southern door unlocked, and untrapped. He opens it to reveal a hallway.

Rinko follows Arvid down the hallway.

I'm getting weird map results, too.


Arvid manages to find and disable a pit trap just inside the door. He searches the door at the far end of the short hallway as well, but doesn't find any traps.

Map should be fixed now. Don't have time for a larger update right now busy day at work today.


How deep and wide is the pit?


Only 5' wide, but ten feet deep with a spiked bottom. Arvid disabled it, so you can walk over it no problem.

Opening the next door leads into a fifteen foot square room, similar in construction to the rest of the place. The walls are the same crumbling slate, and the ceiling is dirt and roots. It appears to be empty, except for some small holes near the floor. They are in the walls, and are about a foot wide and a few inches tall.

I have a better idea. Arvid, I release you.

Arvid disappears.

Dareos summons a small Earth Elemental, which he sends into the room.


No traps are sprung as the small stone creature makes its way into the room. It stands in the center of the room awaiting further orders.

What do you command the elemental to do?

Rinko walks into the room, and as she passes the first of the holes a stinger the size of a baby's fist darts out at her ankle.

It punctures her calf, and she can feel a burning liquid being pumped into her muscle.

Rinko, you can take your standard action. Dareos go ahead and act (elemental acts with you). Vronim the shield will go off on your turn, if you wanna change your action that's cool.

Rinko smiles grimly as the creature pumps its toxin into her leg. She quickly reaches down and grabs the stinger and tries to pull whatever it's attached to into the room.

Rinko reaches down and grabs a scorpion the size of a house cat by the tail, pulling it out of its hole and gripping it tightly.

The elemental dissapears into the ground and a moment later the second scorpion comes flying out of his hole. Then Dareos chops the scorpion Rinko is holding in half and moves into the center of the room.

The other scorpions come scuttling out of their holes, heading for Dareos. He strikes out at three of them lightning swift, killing one and severely injuring another (#5). The remainder attempt to bring their claws and stingers to bear on the wolfman.

Rinko lands a solid kick on the scorpion next to her, cracking it's carapace. But it's still moving.

Dareos makes a slice into his scorpion and the elemental smashes the scorpion that Rinko kicked.

The remaining three scorpions rush Dareos.

Vronim believes these creatures to be vermin and as such most likely immune to his evil eye hex. Vronim instead draws his katana as he moves in and takes a swing at the closest creature.

Vronim moves in and chops one of the remaining scorpions in half. Between Dareos, the elemental and Rinko the other is quickly put down.
