Risbeth Von'Hogmede
Risbeth stands up in front of the blackboard, puts on a pair of small octagonal glasses, and then raps the podium with her 3 foot wooden pointer. "Ahem, Ahem! Everyone will now pay attention. Or they will be subjected to a random alchemical agent from Igorina's pouch."
"Yeth mithtress, I haff a fery amuthing thelection of non-lethal punithments."
Risbeth smiles, and then turns to the board, drawing. "You see class, vampires require blood to be healthy. They can live without it, you see, as can be seen from the Temperance League. However, much as humans can live on only bread and water and survive, a black ribbon vampire is only surviving, they are not living. Or rather, unliving. They are merely subsisting. And like any other animal, eventually they will lose control and break free of their artificial restraints. And as we can tell from experience, when a black ribbon feeds, he feeds.. and feeds.. and feeds some more, and then goes out and get's a snack or two before feeding some more. It's as if his metabolism must replenish all the blood he foreswore, so the longer he goes without eating, the bigger his meal has to be to sate his hunger." She draws some doodles on the board that are supposed to be a vampire going wild, but look more like an orgy in a stick factory.
Risbeth then steps sideways and draws again. "Unfortunately, the normal alternative is just as bad. You see, when a vampire feeds from a living creature directly, that creature is, obviously, shall we say perturbed by the feeding? Even those who secretly crave being fed from are secretly caught in a classic engage or evade cycle. Various humors enter the bloodstream, flavoring it and giving it an addictive taste. The vampire, over time, like any other addict, eventually builds up a resistance to these humors, and requires ever more stronger concentrations. Thus the tendency to artificially increase the humors through such tried and true methods as torturing the donor, killing their loved ones in front of them, and the ever popular removal of body parts for recycling while still alive. All guaranteed to increase the concentration of humors in the blood substantially. But also guaranteed to generate stake wielding mobs and psychotic vampiric offspring. I suppose we can agree that is contraindicated to species survival, on both sides." This time the drawings look vaguely like an obscene picture of a tentacle creature trying to mate with a poodle.
"Now, that leads us to the scientifically deduced and proven method that the Intemperance League espouses. That is, that a vampire should drink blood to maintain health, both physical and mental. However, that blood should not come from any living creature directly. Instead, it should come from humanely killed animals, which have weaker humors anyway, or from humans who have been paid a fair wage for their blood, with full paperwork. The blood should then receive an anti-coagulant alchemical additive that will make it last much much longer than it would otherwise. This blood can then be drank by the vampire without the addictive and mentally detrimental humors. The best of both worlds, a happy hale and hearty vampire, and no terrified out of their mind blood donors." Risbeth finishes her last drawing, the image of which is not repeatable in polite, or even extremely in-polite, company.

Well that was an anticlimactic first response. I will only say that somebody did worn us about boredom.
In other news Characters who gain firearm proficiency, that's Gypsumay and Benris Carr, gain either the Extra Grit feat or the Weapon Focus feat. This balances the bonus feat non-firearm classes gain.
As you were.

"Yeee! Why not take a deal with the Assassin's guild, they get their share of blood!"
Says a voice coming from inside a crate on which is written, with nice painted letters present on any type of crates: Work in progress.
Followed by high pitched mumbling and screeching from some kind of bird.

Risbeth wacks the box on the top rather hard with the pointer, leaving a crease in the cheap cardboard. "Pay attention! The entire purpose of getting the blood willingly or from humanely killed animals is to avoid humors. How many of the assassins guild's targets do you suppose die both without poison in their blood, and without humors induced by fear and terror?" She purses her lips, and sighs, causing her impressive assets to swell up and rise and subside. "Negative 5 points."
TheCelticCircle
A loud birlike noise comes from the box followed by high pitched curses.
"I'm covered in white goo now! Happy! Hey lady. Wait, is that a lady?"
A scratching noise comes from the box. After a short time, a tiny hole opens up.
"Look, told ya it was a lady." Some more bird screeching. "What kind of cheap assassin scares the client? What ***** low life uses poison? You know the wrong kind of assassins lady."
Sentence ends in really high pitched and screeching "lady".
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
Risbeth raises one eyebrow at the tiny opening. "What kind of assassin kills his client? I suspect you've gotten your tiny little brain confused. Igorina? Do you have any spare brains laying around? I suspect our small student needs a new one."
"Yeth Mithtress, I haff a fery thervithable rat brain. And altho a fery well pretherved and eathily emplanted raven brain."

In a voice like avalanche coming down a mountain, the large statue of some pagan fertility goddess finally stirs from her place. "Y'all could just quiet down your fleshy mouth yaps. The box suddenly opens up like a really angular flower.
A really small diminutive guy is laying on his back, snoring in the castrati range.
A really ugly eagle wearing a saddle on its back is standing next to him... although, upon closer inspection, it really is a huge pigeon. A huge pigeon with many scars on its neck and chest. It screeches just like a sick eagle.
The wee man turns around."Go to sleep."He says.

Even before he was expelled into this cruel world you could hear his hiccups from across the room! like clockwork every hr *hic*
Born deaf he spent every waking moment just trying to understand what the blast people were talking about. Soon he could hear whisperings of peoples voices, he knows he can listen to their thoughts if he can just concentrate harder.
Thankfully there were no outside noises to ever distract him from his academic pursuants. He has climbed his way up through the academic world, in particular for his prized research in Aquatic animal magic. He even succesfully created a new line of hypoallergenic poodles, merged with electric eels. The effect was an instant hit with nobility, as now their hypoallergenic poodles maintained a perfect frizz, even if they occasionally shocked their owners, the effect was immaculate looking hair at all times!
With new found money backing him the sky is the limit, and that's when he found himself here. More and more alchemy seems the key rather than that unreliable magic, but he just can't help but scratch that itch... maybe there's a way to mix magic and gunpowder! And of course electric eels into the mix too! Or with the right DNA, the phyrokeets that live in the ocean vents on sulfur, might be able to lay pre-mixed eggs of gunpowder, a sort of caviar round!
He can't wait to try these new ideas out!
I've always wanted to play a kooky researcher idea, and I've been tossing around some ideas for a mystic theurge oracle + wizard. Are the only races human dwarf and troll? is it possible to be an aasimar? I've read some diskworld books, but that was years ago and only remember it being silly fun.
-edit-I ask about the race, so I can get SLA going for earlier access to MT.

Oh boy, are we gonna do this? The recruitment tavern in its own dimension?
Risbeth flashes a toothy smile. "Depends on how much gold you have sweetie. Well, that and whether you're buying the first round." Behind her, Igorina holds up a long rubber tube, a short sharp looking metal tube with a small silver spigot, and a gold flask.

Unfortunately, there are no Aasimars in Discworld, or even a close equivalent. I like the story though, so hopefully you can make it work with a human.

What about with a faun?
Fauns exist on Discworld. And a bog-standard Faun from the bestiary is the equivalent of a 1st level character. They also have 1st and 2nd level spell like abilities, which would work for his mystic theurge. The only disadvantage is he'd be 1 class level behind everyone else. But that's a small price to play for 3d6 hit dice and some spell like abilities. Plus, it's a faun. How can you not have fun in Discworld with a pipe playing womanizer? :)

Faun is a good idea.
@Lantzkey: If you would be interested in a faun, you could put together a custom race build or I could even do one. Let me know.

dwarves use 11pts, humans 9, your troll uses 12. so if it's kewl, I'll use 11.
Fauna (+2 dex/cha) low light, SLA - Misdirection and Animal messenger 1/day. Silver Tongued]: +2 bonus on Diplomacy and Bluff checks. In addition, when they use Diplomacy to shift a creature's attitude, they can do so up to three steps up rather than just two.
-Fey (2rp)2rp
-Flexible (2rp) (+2dex/cha)
-Spell like ability (can't take offensive spells, so took two, misdirection, and animal messenger) (4rp)
=Silver tongued (3rp)
That sound ok?

For those curious what races are on the Disc.
Centaurs
Believed to be the result of magical mutation.
Dwarfs
Short, stocky, bearded metal-workers, generally seen wearing chain mail and brandishing axes. They are similar to the Dwarves of J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, to which they largely started out as a homage.
Elves
Are based more on the nastier kind of fairy-folk in European (and other) folklores than elves as portrayed in most modern (post-Tolkien) fantasy fiction. An encounter with Discworld Elves is a thing to be avoided if possible, as they are fiercely isolationist and do not like humans.
Fauns
Believed to be the result of magical mutation.
Furies
Furies are birdlike creatures from Ephebe who can be trained to target a single individual, forcing people away from him/her. In that sense they act like guard dogs, whether their "master" likes it or not. They appear to be barely sentient. Featured in Unseen Academicals. (Could use Strix Race for this)
Gargoyle
Made of stone and possessing stone's patience, gargoyles crouch for long periods of time on the edges of buildings. They feed by filtering small bugs out of rainwater with their mouths. Their superb ability to sit still and stare at something for days on end makes them excellent watchers for the clacks. There is at least one gargoyle on the City Watch.
Gnolls
Members of this race carry everything they own on their backs, some supplemented by carts. Their appearance and smell repels most other races, but their extreme collection habits are credited with keeping the streets of Ankh-Morpork clean (I think the troglodyte would work for this better than gnoll, but furry not scaley)
Gnomes
Ranging in size from six inches to two feet, they are, Pratchett says, more or less interchangeable with the Nac Mac Feegles.
Goblins
Small humanoids who inhabit dank caves, they are seen as less than animals by most other races, and were often enslaved or exterminated until the events of Snuff, after which they were granted full sentient rights. Goblin spirituality revolves around unggue, the collection of bodily secretions such as earwax in magical pots.
Golems
A form of clay robot, awakened by a spell or priestly words to do people's bidding. Most golems on the Discworld are known to be several centuries old, and at least one (named Anghammarad) was over nineteen thousand years old before his destruction in Going Postal. (WyrWood could work for these, with some size adjustments)
Gorgons
It is mentioned that a Gorgon had joined the Ankh-Morpork City Watch and accidentally turned 3 people to stone. Referenced in Unseen Academicals.
Kvetch
Creatures covered from head to foot in hair who fled their native Mouldavia for Ankh-Morpork after a war broke out. Sam Vimes snidely remarks that Vetinari will demand that some be allowed on the Watch before too long.
Lizard Men
Near-extinct, exceptionally unintelligent creatures who make ideal henchmen for Dark Lords. Evil Harry Dread had two lizard men in his horde, both named "Slime". Featured in The Last Hero.
Orcs
A near extinct race who were bred/made from men (as goblins, according to Lord Vetinari, were not vicious enough) to be weapons in a great war. So far only one living orc (by name "Mr Nutt") is known to exist although it is suspected that others exist in the wilds of far Überwald. Mr Nutt initially had to hide his species, even from himself, due to the brutal reputation and legends about orcs. Orcs themselves are shown to be not necessarily 'bad' creatures; given the opportunity they can easily educate themselves, gain wisdom and a great sense of honesty and morality. However many were forced into battle by men and knew only lives of cruelty thus giving rise to their fearsome reputation. They possess exceptional levels of strength, as well as a special organ hidden deep inside their body that is designed to heal the orc, even capable of bringing them back from some types of death. Featured in Unseen Academicals.
Trolls
Trolls on the Discworld are, essentially, living, mobile rocks. Trolls have grown to overcome those vicious stereotypes of yore and have lived very prosperous lives in heavily populated cities with (relatively) little killing.
Undead
Species in the Discworld novels categorised as undead include: Banshees, Bogeymen, Ghouls, Ghosts, Mummies, Vampires, Werewolves, and Zombies.

---More Reviews---
What I like: I like how you took a Discworld idea, turned it into a back story, and then made a build that fits. You also managed to find an appropriate avatar, so that's something. It's also a pretty varied build, as befits a pre-MT. Damage from magic missile and dehyrdration touch, healing, and some side SLAs like misdirection.
What I'm Interested in seeing: I have yet to see a Mystic Theurge in action and I'm interested to see how it goes. Add in the craziness of Discworld and I'm even more intrigued. You'll probably be hampered the most by the magic rules, so I'm also excited to see that.
Notes: You have cha listed as 20 in one spot and 19 in another?
Phrenic
yeah I was making him at lvl 4 at first, then realised he was lvl 3 and didn't adjust the charisma increase at lvl 4 in all spots.
-edit- as for the magic, yeah it'll be interesting, but I'll have plenty of spell slots to throw around! lol. Also the crossblodded reduces number known so the spells known will be sorta narrow for a few levels!

Spell Pages
1,000 per spell for first level spells. As long as you have them on you, you know the spell. Only works for spontaneous casters.

yeah I'm aware of those heh, I'm pretty good at optimizing when I want to =D I'm not honestly worried about number known. It's plenty between oracle and sorc.
