Damn..I had sworn there was a post attached to that last roll. Internet at the hotel during the week is wonky as hell.

"Watch out, she was followed, although by whom I do not know. They have not noticed us yet, but they will."

Ariana will move out of line of sight of the woman, moving into a nearby building. "I suggest we do not cause a problem now. We want to see who is picking up the mask first, yes? Hide and keep an eye out..wait..and spring our trap when they appear."

"She's followed? Darn..."

Freia bites down and forces herself to not look around and try to spot their pursuers. Probably wouldn't accomplish much except raising suspicion.

Quickly considering her options, Freia headed towards the pile of grain a few meters behind Noro. Hopefully she would be able to hide herself inside that - augumented with invisibility if needed.

Probably not Stealthy(-Meticulous): 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 = 6

Uncertain about where to hide considering the number of angles that someone could be coming from, Halsanna was torn by indecision enough to make a clumsy attempt at being a barrel, trying to follow the others' lead. It was clear that even the basics of hiding was something that was likely going to take some serious instruction.

"Um, a little help here?", she whispered in a near-panic. She knew that she was doing it wrong, but not how to do it right.

...but it looked like someone needed the invisibility more! With a quick dash, Freia put her hand on Halsannas shoulder and whispered the spell in a hushed voice. When done, she mouthed 'minutes' towards where she suspected that Halsanna still was and held up four fingers. I think she'll get that! I hope ...

"A few minutes, got it", she whispered, taking another look around the area to see if there was an better position that she could reach while she was under the cover of Invisibility. There was a rustle as she carefully passed Freia, moving somewhere. "There's a ladder up to the windmill. I'll get up there and cover everyone." Some care had to be taken in moving so she did not bump into anything, but that windmill was perfect! Hopefully she was the first one to realize that.

If no complications:
A couple of minutes later, her voice reached the others. "In position."

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Halsanna moved to her place.

Halsanna, from your new vantage point you more easily catch glimpses of those who were shadowing your target. They are difficult to pick out, but seem to be maneuvering around the windmills and have at least two archers on the balconies of the southern mills that guard the way to the main road. You feel that your invisible position is what's allowing you to see them at all. If your comrades haven't already been spotted, they soon will be.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Ariana finds a door she can pry open just forward of Noro's hiding place.

Zayid hides at the end of the row and peeks around the corner. Aboki is on hold within sight. He is crouched and ready in full stalking mode. In fact, it's uncanny just how similar Zayid and his cat look right now.

Minutes tick by.

One.

Two.

Three.

Three and a half.

Halsanna's about to pop back into the land of the visible when a soft swish whispers through the night and suddenly, out of thin air, no joke, there he is! Black robes conceal 90% of his features, as before. He looks around and reaches into the dead drop...

What do you do?

CASTING

Components V, S, M (ground mica)
EFFECT

Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area creatures and objects within 10-ft.-radius spread
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Will negates (blinding only); Spell Resistance no

DESCRIPTION

A cloud of golden particles covers everyone and everything in the area, causing creatures to become blinded and visibly outlining invisible things for the duration of the spell. All within the area are covered by the dust, which cannot be removed and continues to sparkle until it fades. Each round at the end of their turn blinded creatures may attempt new saving throws to end the blindness effect.

Any creature covered by the dust takes a -40 penalty on Stealth checks.

The spear thuds into the ground and flashes with a silver light. The Distributor grunts again, but doesn't respond to Noro's taunt. Instead he throws a small stone at the ground and a cloud of fog explodes into existence, enveloping Noro, Zayid, and Ariana. The stars and moon disappear from view and a cold darkness envelops you. A laugh is heard. Give my best to Absentia, the worst Sorrow to ever play the game. His distorted voice whispers, though you all hear it clearly.

Aboki should also be able to track him without much trouble in the fog due to his feline senses. Also, ignore what I said before about him shimmering. That's just overkill. You'll have enough trouble with the fog.

Noro, Zayid, Ariana - In addition to the fog, the light level in the cloud has been lowered one step to truly dark. Darkvision is needed to see clearly here.

Halsanna - As soon as your allies start their operation, the shady characters start to close in, but they aren't rushing it. They are sticking to cover and watching. You currently have a shot on the two archers in the wind mills and the man furthest right on foot.

Fortunately, Ariana has darkvision :D. Zayid should as well due to the rat stuff, right? Also, if we got a surprise did anyone roll high enough to get another action off before he dropped his spell? Ari's 26 is hard to beat, hopefully!

If Ari got a high enough initiative to go on Round 1 before the haze was dropped, she'll start summoning up an astral construct.

Knowledge(Arcana): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Round 1

Ariana loses her eyes, picturing a monster. A great, horned beast with red eyes and a hazy form, shifting in the breeze but with fists as hard as hammers and covered in nails. She doesn't respond immediately to Halsanna, taking a moment to focus her mind.

Round 2

The figure from her imagination coalesces suddenly. Speaking into the wind, she gestures to Halsanna in response. "If you can see through this haze, strike down our target! If not, keep the others busy. However, I request you strike our main target as soon as you get a visual."

The monstrosity that forms lets out a shuddering roar. Stats in profile, it has darkvision as well. If it can see their target, it rushes toward him, lifting its large fists and slamming them down upon him. Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 for 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5. If struck, it gains a free trip attempt: Trip: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

While the creature attacks, Ariana reaches into her bags and draws forth a scroll of Protection from Arrows to cast next turn. (pretty sure it'd be a standard to pull the item out of a bag since she doesn't have a handy haversack).
Resources Spent: Glitterdust, Power points 3/6 remaining
Would Augment Summoning impact astral constructs as well?

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Zayid, you have scent, yes. If you are in hybrid or rat form you would have darkvision as well. Good catch, Ari.

Really dice? Really?

Everyone gets round one actions before the fog goes off. That would put us at the top of round two right now. Everyone save ariana is up.

To be clear, division will allow you to see the target at all. Once you do, you still have the fog to deal with. It operates like obscuring mist. Concealment at 5 ft, total concealment otherwise.

astral wierdness:

CASTING

Components V, S, M (hair from a black cat)
EFFECT

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Targets one creature
Duration 1 round/level or until discharged
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance yes

DESCRIPTION

You afflict the target with bad luck. On the next d20 roll the target makes, it must roll twice and take the less favorable result. For every five caster levels you have, the target must roll twice on an additional d20 roll (to a maximum of five rolls at 20th level).

A target who can speak and has at least one free hand and who is aware of the spell and its effects (such as from a Spellcraft check to identify the spell as it is cast) can negate one reroll by spending a move action to utter a brief prayer or good luck charm to appease the spirits of ill fortune.

Round one (pre-fog?)

Zayid motions Aboki forward, and together the pair converges on the foe. Map not updated, since I don't know where to move us. Aboki has 40' movement, and Zayid has 30'. The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Because of zayid's grapple in round one, you would have known his square, making it easy to find him. From there you could join the grapple and make checks to damage.

Sighing internally at the first arrow's flight, Halsanna tried again. She was not looking to kill them, but hitting them both with an arrow would be fair warning.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

What has happened so far.

Distributor arrives. There is a hushed moment of anticipation, then you strike! The area explodes into glitter as double Glitterdust spells coat the area. You are now essentially fighting in a disco. The Distributor looks fabulous, but unharmed. Until Zayid rushes up and grabs him, that is. About that time, Noro rushes in and plants that all important crystal spike thing and a burst of light lets you know that she either activated it or broke it. Probably the former.

Meanwhile, Halsanna and the archers try to recover their dignity and exchange a silent understanding that those first shots didn't count. Halsanna begins the for realz shooting with a nicely placed arrow to the shoulder of the southern archer.

Then the man laughs, taunts and, in spite of Zayid's hold, throws a stone to the ground. The glitter-infused area suddenly becomes a disco nightmare from hell as glitter and smoke mingle with magical darkness. Ariana forms a creature out of nothingness and it charges in to assist Zayid while Aboki circles around to cut off escape. Zayid then sweeps the leg in a wonderful Noro impersonation (that noone can see) and pins the target down.

I think that's all the actions. Please make sure you have up until the end of round 2 posted, then I'll post the Distributor's next action.

Repost: Round 2
