M Human Cleric 4

Yeah right now I am waiting on someone to let me know what we were facing, then I was planning to roll a knowledge religion check. If I can figure out that the thing is undead I can start to suggest some ways to fight it.

HP 22/22 || AC 9/9/9 || F+3/R+1/W+7

My apologies. I have been swamped with my Mage: the Awakening game IRL.

I think the pace will pick up if we're sat around the dinner table - Adalieh is sorta tense and suspicious, but she'll loosen up when her hunger's sated, in any case.

Male Human Magic User Level 1

Busy, busy, busy days - sorry for that. And also since I do not know if we will be having dinner at the manor (I mean, if our host will take us), or if we are heading into town for supper at an inn...

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Sorry if I seem a little too eager, it just so happens that even though I work full time I have all the time I need to post at work. I basically have 45 hours a week where I can be posting on this game, so I get a little jumpy. This is why I'm in three pbp's and always looking for more!

M Human Cleric 4

GM Null, should I continue to roll my own Sense Motive checks, or should I just tell you when I want to roll and you can do it in secret?

male Human Cleric 1

I'm fine either way. If you'd rather not see your own roll to avoid metagaming, I can do it for you.

I'll be mostly away from a computer until Monday, so posting will be accidental. Feel free to move along without me if needed. I'll catch up.

M Human Cleric 4

GM Null, can I assume that Luke was able last night to buy 4 flasks of holy water and 75 gp worth of incense from the temple? He is not going to attempt to question Radu when he's there, btw.

male Human Cleric 1

Yes, that's fine. One thing though:

RumpinRufus:
Luke was offered to pay the price for the flasks of Unholy Water in pain rather than in gold. Though gross, this is a common tradition among Kuthonites.

M Human Cleric 4

GM Null:
Luke thought it was strange that Anya suggested the temple of Zon-Kuthon to get holy water... if all they have is unholy water, he will only buy the incense. He will pay in gold.

M Human Cleric 4

Since Lorzub and I haven't seen the chandlery yet, I'm just waiting for one of the other characters to lead us there.

male Human Cleric 1

I was doing the same. I'll take you there as soon as I find the time to get in a longer post.

M Human Cleric 4

Ok, I'm ready to go inside whenever other people are.

HP 22/22 || AC 9/9/9 || F+3/R+1/W+7

I apologise for my short and few responses as of late. Hit a rather heavy snag of angst and depression and am not recovering as quickly as I'd like. Am still here.

male Human Cleric 1

I'm sorry to hear that Adalieh. Take all the time you need to get back on track, we'll be here once you feel better!

Get well!

Male Human Magic User Level 1

All the best to you Adalieh.

Yes, please take time and feel better.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
HP 22/22 || AC 9/9/9 || F+3/R+1/W+7

After one of the best IRL nWoD: Mage sessions I have ever run I am currently on an inspired fire, so I am back (for now). I might relapse overnight, but I will update tomorrow. Am exhausted.

Thank you for the kind words and patience.

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Sorry about all the chatter on the gameplay! Sad that my crit didn't count even though I didn't need it. Rolling two 20's is so rare for me!

male Human Cleric 1

For our new arrivals: I will not give out XP in this module as it probably won't take you to the next level. If it turns out it does, I will have you level up at an appropriate time. I hope that works for you!

M Human Cleric 4

In retrospect, I wish I hadn't taken 20 to search for traps, that's not really in character. He would check the door quickly, but then say a charm (Bit of Luck) before opening it.

GM Null, you can use this roll instead if you wish:

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Actually, I was wondering whether you could take 20 to find traps.

male Human Cleric 1

You definitely can take 20 to find traps, but I'll respect your RP reasons for not doing it. Your funeral... ;-)

male Human Cleric 1

I'll tell you what's behind that door later when I have more time to post...

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

And what do we have for the contestants behind this possibly trapped door?

Well, we've got more death, destruction, and despair! And possibly more shadowy creepy things!

And if they manage to make it through that?

More of the same, probably behind another trapped door!!

Sorry, my sarcastic humor is strong this morning ;)

M Human Cleric 4

Let me know if I should slow down with posting.

male Human Cleric 1

I'm fine with that pace but if anyone feels left out, by all means, please let us know!

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Well, it seems that you have the best skills to deal with the situation, so if anything goes wrong the muscle here will jump in. I say post as much as you can!

Male Human Magic User Level 1

Well, I'm perfectly ok with the pacing. Medraut is the silent dark type anyway.

He may land some hurt on them though if he gets too frustrated :D

Please note I'm in a crunch and participation will be spotty until Tuesday.

male Human Cleric 1

Sorry Medraut, but you have no common language with the elemental so other than attacking he won't understand your verbal commands. You can try a DC 15 bluff check to pantomime what you want him to do as a standard action.

Also, there are two visible 'foes', the man Fane and the woman Oana. My guess is you were talking about Fane who is currently trying to push Luke out of the doorway.

Male Human Magic User Level 1

You are correct, and you are correct :D

I have just realized I chose a string of useless languages for a summoner - I am quite inexperienced at playing wizards to be honest...

male Human Cleric 1

Urgh, why did nobody tell me, that I made this ugly "your/you're" mistake in the initiative overview... yuk, and I even copy-pasted it from post to post. :)

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

No worries! I'm surprised I didn't notice, I'm always angry when I do that. I try not to correct too often, though, in fear of sounding pretentious.

male Human Cleric 1

Oh please do correct me when and if you spot any mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker so I'm always grateful for every advice I can get.

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Will do! I'm sure that inevitably I will make plenty of my own mistakes and will be humbled by them as well. If you didn't notice I used the wrong to/too at first in my last comment and it said "no too correct too often" which I quickly edited once I re-read it! That happens to me a lot, I need a copy editor for my posts...

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Terrible, terrible rolls...

male Human Cleric 1

Indeed. But you were lucky as well, the AoO against you was with an attack roll of 15...

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Haha! I knew I'd provoke it, but when I saw my attack I just had to try. It was stand there and get hit or try and get away and maybe get hit. Another STR drain and I'll lose another +1 on my modifiers. Not to mention the whole going 12 points negative on my hp and just about dying.

male Human Cleric 1

Lorzub is probably not the type for that kind of thing, but do you know the withdraw action? Would have been the safer move in this situation.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that you can only withdraw from enemies you can actually see. Never noticed that before, but totally makes sense.

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Well, I didn't know that, and was actually about to ask if I had a better option. In any case it's still good to know about that.

male Human Cleric 1

There's also the option to use total defense in lieu of an attack to boost your AC. But that's also a dodge bonus so no good against invisible foes, just an FYI.

HP 22/22 || AC 9/9/9 || F+3/R+1/W+7

Orcish = Norwegian, huh. I always thought of Dwarven as more Norse, but eh, det funker.

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Haha! I wasn't sure what to go with in a pinch. I didn't put the translation down for certain... reasons, but I'm sure you brought it over to google translate. I felt that the chosen words were an accurate reflection of my real life feelings about the situation. Although, when translated back the words are a little different. I use Norwegian for Dwarves too.

HP 22/22 || AC 9/9/9 || F+3/R+1/W+7

Jeg er norsk. ;3

male Human Cleric 1

I always imagined Orc to sound more like Russian or German (even though I am German). And don't tell the dwarves they speak the same language as Orcs...

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:
HP: 32/36, - AC: 16/T: 11/FF: 15 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +6 / R: +2/ W: +1 (+1 vs. fear) - CMB +8(-1) (+10(-1) Tripping); CMD 19 (21 vs. Trip), Speed: 20

Ha! I'll let that be my little secret!

male Human Cleric 1

Nice comeback, Corso! And in the hour of need!

Male Half-Orc
Vital Stats:

No freaking kidding. Creepy shade things, no problem I can handle them! Invisible, flying, smart@$$ creatures, no game.
