Korash the Spiky
If this thing has enough life support, we could turn it into our own little kingdom, hmm.
Miss Isabela Calista De Romano
Queen-dome you mean :)
Korash the Spiky
I dunno... Skyscale seems to be the most charismatic around here.
Ameo Wanstell
This scene is making me laugh. I honestly can not come up with a good reason that Ameo would reveal himself to you all.
Skyscale
I'm just picturing Skyscale making a goatshape with his hands as he gingerly feels around in the space, trying to ensure that he doesn't hurt whatever's there... unless it hurts him.
Also, in case it wasn't mentioned to you: Skyscale has a body draped over his back that he's been carefully balancing there. Probably a few bones up there as well. :P Trophy? Dinner? You decide!
Korash the Spiky
Right... and Korash just crushed a cat-spider creature to death between his hands.
Miss Isabela Calista De Romano
Calistra just said hello in a load of languages, she would just say hello with TP but that's been turned off, if you don't understand she's trying to talk to you, then not a lot I can do.
Is combat now over GM? So she can heal
Skyscale
Yup. Combat's over. The flea-cats fled from Skyscale's considerable might. :)
Vrog Skyreaver
ya, i'm not a fan of any version of windows 8.
I wanna start by saying that you guys are doing a fine job so far. It's tough because I in some ways feel like i'm watching your group in a movie shouting DON'T GO IN THERE! at my tv. I have almost posted a bunch of stuff to give you hints several times, but then I have to reel myself back in and let you guys find your own way.
On to the second bit of news, unfortunately Mjesecar will no longer be an active player in our group. I'll probably still keep him around as an NPC since he had already started one of my "events", for lack of a better term, and you all will probably get to meet him at some point. I wish his player all the best.
Of course, now that [redacted] is resolved, I'm interested to see how the situation in the hallway will resolve itself.
Miss Isabela Calista De Romano
DB3 you have, its all fun, fights, new faces, thanks running around and one player left V RL or other stuff.
I hope your not peeking at the spoilers hehe
Skyscale
Has worldthorn fallen off the ship? I haven't seen any spoilers in a while from him. Or did you just swap to private messages? Lord knows those might work better for this.
Ameo Wanstell
I absolutely love how you play Skyscale like a playful puppy. You are seriously cracking me up.
Skyscale
:>
I'm trying to blend 'kitty' 'puppy' 'teenager' and 'southern gentleman' into him all at once. I think mostly puppy is coming through. Though he hasn't really had his pride wounded that you've seen. Southern Gentleman also won't come through for a bit, I'm sure. :P
Skyscale
Why do I get the feeling Skyscale is either going to get zapped by his extra scale... or blasted out of the air by something? :S
Korash the Spiky
@Isabela: Korash understands what you mean by "implant." He just has no idea why you think the device has anything to do with what's suppressing his powers (or what you even think his powers are).
Isabela Calista De Romano
@Korash
Her logic
1: Her powers are being blocked
2: Someone has placed tech devices in her like the ones she can see on you and the dead boy sky is carrying about.
3:If its blocking her powers then why place them in you, because you have powers like hers.
Note: From Calista's home most of her class the second ruling class have Psionics. Also she has never seen magic, to her its kind of a folk tale. The Public like from government is that so called "Magic" is in fact not magic at all but in fact just rear forms of misunderstood Pisonics.
So she's asking a very logic question in her view, she thinks all four of the group at nobility or ruling casts. I mean why would they take lower casts?
Korash the Spiky
Sure, but it's just as possible that there's a field effect or spells centered on us that prevent it, which we haven't actually been able to check for. The devices might be nametags or trackers or heart monitors or something. Korash may well just think his chakras are blocked, or something like that.
Skyscale
FALCOOOOOOOOR!
So far, I'm a bad-luck Dragon!
Korash the Spiky
Maaan I used to like that movie but then I read the book and saw what could've been.
Skyscale
I have never read it. I... think I may choose to keep my childhood intact.
Anything visible from on high, Vrog? He'll be flying around taking in the sights. I'm sure that'll take a bit, though. :)
Korash the Spiky
No, I mean, the book is just that good. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a proper edition (although they did this in the first paperback too) where the text is printed in multiple colors.
The Princess Bride, however, is exactly as good a book as it is a movie, making both enjoyable side-by-side (and the script for that was written by the author right after he finished the novel).
Vrog Skyreaver
Liking dune doesn't make you a bad person; admitting that you do does j/k.
In all seriousness, since I haven't heard from worldthorn since last week, and today is Wednesday, we can now officially drop spoilers for the most part, although I will still be in them with Skyscale (since he's not back with the group yet). Also, once you guys figure out what he's bringing back, you will level (since I'm rewarding experience for meaningfully interacting with new technology and roleplaying as the main source of experience).
Again this is once Skyscale gets back, and you figure out how to use the things he has with him (which will be interesting).
Skyscale
Alas, my curiosity has resulted in both a level up... and a TPK.
:>
Draconic Exemplar for life!
Korash the Spiky
Whoa whoa whoa. Dune was excellent. Chapterhouse Dune, now, that's a bit of a different story.
Isabela_Calista_De Romano
And then there was four,
shudders at the words "Chapterhouse Dune" and he books of dross his son has shilled put for coin.
I'm think Planet Killer bombs, something like a 1,000,000,000 mega ton nuke. All we have to do is hit it with a hammer.
Reminds me of a game where the party found a battering ram only to discover on use it was an old USSR nuke.
Tap Tap BOOM!
"Hello and welcome to the after life"
Isabela_Calista_De Romano
Also, no matter how high tech they are, please be a Galaxy that has the The_Culture in it.
It would be so COOL if a GCU showed up and said to our abductors
"Now you lot, stop taking other races or we will have to have a little chat"
You see a typical Culture GCU can take on the Entire fleets from Star Wars and Star trek combined and win with out much difficulty, not that it would even fight. More likely it would take over there Computer systems, make then self-aware and say to the new MIND level AIs.
"Look your organics are being really warlike, could you have a words with them"
Hard to get the Enterprise to fire all fazers when the ships says
"Err no, I want and I think we can work this out with out all the killing stuff don't you"
About the Culture, From the books.
"There was a saying in the Galaxy 'Don't f**k with THE CULTURE' What was worrying was that statement could have more than one meaning."
So if this was the culture and a new race had been found it could be.
1: "A Genesis Bomb" matter transmuter, world changes to some other form
2: "Black hole generator" Energy to matter maker, boom then crunch.
3: "Meme bomb" Set of AIs and drones, infuriate local minds and Nets to alter a culture.
4: "Ninite Bomb" used to take over systems and worlds, ships you name it.
5: "Bio Bomb" Whole new echo system pops out and takes over world
6: "Effector Bomb" uses grid fire to lay wast to just about everything from a sun to a whole star system.
7: "Big Bang Bomb" makes a whole new universe, band by the sublimed as mucking about with reality far to much, even by their standards.
getting close are we,
Skyscale
Meanwhile. Skyscale's pretty sure it's an egg. Pretty positive, in fact.
It's kind of funny that things like 'flying to the group to get them to come over' occurs to me. But they don't occur to poor Skyscale. He's far too excited for -logic-.
Isabela_Calista_De Romano
I have now decided to play Isabela as a special circumstances agent, her whole back story is made up. If this is going to be an endless game of "We try" = "nope" I'm going to add my own fun.
Her name is real, its just Calista was the orbital she was born on and Romano the system it was in. She WAS on a misstion to infultrate the blood clans by special circumstances I race the Culture was trying to bring into the fold., but something other happened and now she is here. Her SC drone seems to have been put out of commission and the Anti matter powered Nural-lace in her head, that lets her do things like efferize organic minds and bring up force fields has has been tampered with. Right now she is peed-off she was taken, but knows her mind-state was backed up before taking on the mission with the clans.
She knows a lot more about what tech is and what is going on, but will not say anything about it for fear they are being observed or this is just all VR and the clans have found her out. Her only hope is a GSV or GCU shows up and starts spanking some butt.
For now she is playing dumb and finding out what she can wile maintaining her cover story.
Korash the Spiky
As long as it's not Spelljammer, I'm not too worried about which universe this turns out to be. (That said, I ran an awesome game once based on Bahamut Lagoon that wound up using a lot of Spelljammer rules).
And Korash is from quite some distance away, in a less-connected arm of the galaxy, so his knowledge of what's going on here is pretty minimal.
Korash the Spiky
Also, Ameo, you may want to look into this spell—it would technically let us survive and use firearms without penalty in space, which means that once we get flight, skyscale and I can turn into fighterplanes.
Skyscale
Skyscale swoops and swerves through space, looking over his shoulder at the strange metal box that is chasing him. He makes a strange sound as he does a loop-de-loop. He takes a deep breath and then shouts 'PEW PEW PEW!' as he exhales the lightning...
Supernatural flight is cool. :P
I'm pretty sure a bubble around my head would cause some sort of problem with breath weapons. Maybe. :P
Ameo Wanstell
Are any of us actually proficient with firearms? Also Ameo doesn't know we are on a spaceship.
Skyscale
I was definitely getting a 'Noah's Arc' vibe. Right up until something goes wrong anyway. Like... if spider cats have eggs inside of them that will hatch whether or not they're laid, and suddenly you have a swarm of spidercats... that don't have the 'no hungry' benefits we do. That sort of thing :p
Korash the Spiky
Korash is still pretty certain that this is a prison... if he's actually alive.
Also, Skyscale, your comment reminds me of the anime film "Angel's Egg," although that movie was probably the most boring thing I've ever watched.
Also... whose actions are we waiting on?
P.S. At level-up, Korash can take either a power that lets him boost his saves to ridiculous levels, one that gives him even more bonuses to AC, or one that gives big bonuses to stealth... unfortunately, nothing of huge benefit to others. (Or psionic "light," if nobody has that). Anyone have something they'd like to see the dancing tree do?
