Searching the room you find a masterwork dagger on the table that was being used to cut meat. There are several plates of meat on the table and a game of dice. There is nothing else of interest in this room.
There is a door to the east which is the direction the runaway took. There is a doubledoor to the south and a door to the west.

Gloin moves up and attacks the hobgoblin leader his attack connects and lands a very solid blow (20 damage).
Kirana shoots the orc with an arrow and misses with another.
Min moves up and attacks the hobgoblin chief as well but he misses.
Min attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 102d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 5) + 9 = 16
Orc will save will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 The orc manages to resist the mental attack.
The chieftain flies into a rage and swings a powerful overhead chop at Gloin but Gloin manages to sidestep and avoid it.

The orc moves into position behind the chieftain and cast a spell healing the chieftain for half the damage he took.

The two remaining hobgoblins try to flee.
Provoking attacks from Min, firebeard and gloin and Min takes advantage of the chance to drop hobgoblin 2 as well.

I've been thinking and I decided I'm going to fast forward a bit here to get things moving at a better pace.
You chase the orc up the stairs but when you arrive there is no sign of him.
You fight a few more groups of hobgoblin but with the leaders slain the rest scatter and flee the fort.
The fort is yours.

Wobbly on her feet she hears voices in an unknown language....getting a vision of a cold emptyness (space) and something awful briefly flashes.
"Aaahh...."....cue the look of a paranoid person briefly.

Interstellar Void (Su): You call upon the frigid depths of outer space to bring a terrible chill to your enemies. As a standard action, one target within 30 feet is cloaked in the void and takes 1d6 points of cold damage for every oracle level you possess. A successful Fortitude save halves this damage.
