I wish I could say good bye to me boys....
spit-choke (blood running out of mouth and ears)
AHHHHHH......I can't go on......

HOW RICH! I needed a good laugh! I would imagine Rusk's father went out in a similar fashion. Probably cried more and wet himself a tad though...
It's worth noting I intimidated the s~~% out of the frost giant over a simple dice game...
I've had about enough of this Rigamarole...
Claudandis is welcome to roll Intimidate with a +4 bonus for having previously intimidated Eldak.
I will politely intimidate Eldak to give us more gold... I make Eldak my studied target giving me a +3. Any buffs others could provide will help. I rolled a 5, which makes my intimidate a 42 plus whatever buffs I can get from party members.
Targoth rolls a 38 diplomacy check.
Hold friends. Is there need to threaten a comrade when a better deal might be struck with the folk of this brimwood who require guardians? What have you done that they seek your death?
Long story short, Dusty 'aquired' his Elven army when his father betrayed the queen's orders.
Perhaps send someone in your stead? They need not know your involvement. And bereft of their army their need for these dragons may be even greater.
They wouldn't trust anyone associated with Dusty, my guess.
And as the GM has proven we can't trust anyone outside our group.
Not to mention the fact that Eldak is currently friendly towards us, which means either he'll turn on us at some point or Father Boneflute will kill him.

You can use Targoth's 38 Diplo with an assist from the "intimidators" or vise versa. I will grant more gold based on how much you beat the DC by; however, there is a big difference between Diplomacy and Intimidating...
Basically, you would fill your immediate need and possibly suffer a long term consequence because nothing goes unpunished in Chandar!!!!
Let me know how you intend to proceed.
I would assist Targoth. So far Eldak is the only person with any sort of power that has treated us decently.
Can I still get a bonus for assisting targoth on the diplo given that I'm now being nice instead of hostile?
Ok. With the two assists I'll say Targoth has a modified Diplomacy of 42.....
Ok, ok. Fair is fair I suppose. I'll pay 72,000 gold for the three eggs but not one copper more! Take it or leave it fellas!
That number is suspiciously easy to divide by 6... 12k each, I say we take it.
Cool by me, do we all agree?
Forgive the rhyme.
eldak has been good to me for no reason. I say we take this boon and furthermore I offer a favor to eldak that he may call upon as he sees fit. I alone claim responsibility to fulfill the favor.
I accept your offer Claudandis. You can re-pay me now. You are an adventuring party and I understand that comes with a certain amount of risk. That being said, you can re-pay me by keeping my peanut alice and well on your adventures. Take heed human! From this day forward if anything happens to my peanut I will hold you personally responsible.
Now leave me, I have dragons to hatch!
It sure was nice to travel with you Claud, however brief.
Attention all Daemons!
Attention all Daemons!
We are paying double for Gnome souls this month in Abaddon.
Is our ability to retrain limited only by how much gold we have? Or did we decide on a time limit?
Assuming you would not travel to Abaddon unprepared...time is no issue. If you have the gold, retrain it.
I think the first stop on our mystery tour should be a bank for us to rob, I'm short about 50k gold.
If only there were an entity in Chandar with lots of wealth that you have little regard for....
holy f#&$. we're robbing the church before we go.
by the way, just so everyone understands. Retraining anything is 10g X level X days. So retraining 1 hp is 3 days or 330 gold. It seems like a bargain to me.
DustyHalfElf wrote: holy f!&&. we're robbing the church before we go. That's the spirit!!!
My suggestion;
Have your retraining ready to roll/complete and we will open the next session with how you "acquire" the gold...just keep a ledger.
I'm confused.
Are you saying buy everything we 'need' beyond our current gold?
Yep! Keep a running tab and that's how much gold you will have to "acquire". The more you are in the red, the higher I'll make the CR of the encounter in which you "acquire" your gold. Don't get too greedy!!!
Here is an example;
You "finance" 48,000 gold worth of gear and training. In a fast campaign...you would owe me a CR 17 encounter!! Moral of the story, abuse my generosity and you probably won't live long enough to use your training or gear.
God I love being me!
I live. Therefore little Peanut lives.
Lets also not forget that water ele Venompiss was a cr 10-12. Even at our level with our gear, a 17 is......dangerous
29k for a cr 15 is way more plausible
All I keep thinking is we need way more supplies than we currently have before departing to another plane, and we need to find either currency or an unguarded hoard.
Is that 29k each?
Or total?
I checked the charts. It's total. My only concern is food and water. I took what I needed to be a better tank. We will be fine. Let's not get distracted, abaddon is a gauntlet, a means to and end. We only go there to get to Absolum. Absolum and the test of the starstone is what scares me
Abaddon is a plane filled with unimaginable horrors and we prefer not to be ill prepared when traversing it.
True. But let's not blow our load in one basket. Abaddon is dangerous, Absolum could end us. And I don't know s*@! about Absolum
None of us do.
All we can do is prepare for the worst case and pray it isn't.
What do you think we'll need in this place?
Let's have a picnic in Abbadon!!!
It isn't like we get to go shopping again before we return to the Prime.
We need to bring as much healing, food and water as we can carry.
Healing especially.
And, much as it pains me to say this, some gift for the Horsemen lest we never leave Abaddon.
We need to find a way to track these portals down too.
Also, I lay no claim to a share of the gold from the dragon eggs. I did not assist in procuring them so maybe that will assist us in getting what we need for the journey
Hey! In honor of this being our 250th post!!! Everyone gets a +1 ability tome of their choosing!!' Thanks for all the participation, it has really made the campaign fun to run!!!
