Bump.
Was it something I said?
Yes, it was. Bad CampingCarl!
Joking, of course. I've been extremely busy yesterday, and probably the other players didn't feel like commenting your background.
I think your character is very solid, even though I'd advise you against a totally combat-geared PC. But that's something I can help you with if you're selected.

Guys, 24 hours until recrutiment closes! I don't know what time I'll be able to look at the boards, but it will be tomorrow evening (my evening, Central European Time, GMT+1).

History: Too many times, a person who wanders is though to be lost. An orphan, or outcast, or exile. Not so for young Talikriktug. Born only 22 years ago, his coming into the world was a time of joy, celebration, and love. So continued his childhood and adolescence.
Born to a northern water tribe who eschewed the "comforts" of more civilized living, Talikriktug grew up on the tundra and ice floes of the far North. His mother, Anka, and father, Rikku, were capable water benders, as was the majority of his small tribe. Talikriktug and his grandfather Ashkantu were in a class well beyond the norm, though.
Talikriktug was born at night, under a full moon. As is common among water-bending people, this was a time of special significance and potential. From a very young age, he showed an aptitude and drive for bending-skills unmatched by his peers. Thus began his quest for personal excellence, even at such a young age.
At 16, Talikriktug joined the seal-hunters of the tribe, utilizing his skills to swim deep, far, and extremely fast. He could form a hole in the thick ice, leap into the near-frozen water, and pursue a seal in mere moments. And he caught them quite frequently.
And so his people prospered, and Ashkantu taught the young water-bender all he knew; how to move water in great masses, or with tight control; how to master the cold and survive the dark nights of the winters; and how to maneuver beneath the waves with speed and grace.
One day in the recent past, the two men sat around a small fire and Ashkantu told his grandson, "Talikriktug, you have become a fine hunter. You have learned and mastered all the skills I can teach you. I think it is time for you to experience the world outside, to develop yourself away from the tundra. It is time for you to swim in the waters of the world."
Originally feeling as if being banished, Talikriktug seethed inside. Why do I want to see the world? What is there outside for me? I am strong, and capable, and I am master of my element here! After meditating on the subject, a sense of peace and curiosity came to the young man. What really is out there? Can I learn even more?
And so, Talikriktug took his leave of his loving family. Stopping at the North Pole, he set out for warmer climes and adventure with not much beyond the clothes on his back and an heirloom fishing harpoon.
Personality: Talikriktug is a quiet, driven, polite young man. He harbors a fierce determination to be the best at whatever he does, which has served him greatly in his bending training. Confident in his physical abilities, he does not rise to baiting or taunts easily, only responding to physical threats with the minimal force necessary. Deep down, his core motivation is his family; he wants to become a powerful, seasoned water-bending master to ensure their prosperity and longevity.
Romantically, Talikriktug is a bit of a late-starter. He bloomed late in life, only coming to his full adult height and stature within the last few years. As such, he always felt a bit awkward around the girls of his tribe, and especially around the fur-clad young ladies of the North Pole. He is not really aware of his appeal as a strong, capable young man, and tends to shyness and quiet politeness.
Mechanics: Core should be pretty much set, just have to move some numbers around in the total attack bonus setup. Talikriktug is quite skilled in physical skills, and is a master of the water and the cold.

This was... exhausting, I'd say. It was very hard having to leave out some of you, but I can't honestly keep more than 5 players. I already wanted to go with 4, but I just didn't know who to leave out anymore.
Thanks so much, to all of you, for the interest and the submissions. The merry band will be composed by
Taliriktug (psionichamster)
Darvin Terroh (mdt)
Kalden (Echos Myron)
Jin-Liang (chrono17)
Zanto (CampingCarl9127)
If you haven't been selected, I can say that I just hope this game goes well enough to inspire me to open another one.
To all those selected, discussion thread is open!
