Rynjin, No you can not track the ceusto. its trails disappears to appear 500 ft ahead and do the same multiple times so you get lost.
Young wizard answering to castien: Like 7 miles.
You accompany Comrad and a small band of follower of helm to the place the your man tells, but just minutes before you arrive (cause nobody have any more teleportatin right?) te young wizard say
I lost It, it should have been crosed the river.
You all cross the river and start looking for a trail. The groups split, comrad and his men by on one side and you by the other.
Afther Half and hour Sun xiao notes something werid, you enter a zone where there is no trail of animal life of any kind, it is like all animal avoid that particular zone of te forest. You do not take too long to find the epicenter of that weird zone, a small hill with a cave. yes, the cave radiates evil.
FOr some reason I spendedmore than 40 minutes thinking and then writing this post, I suppose it is not my day :/
Sun Xiao
Sun Xiao turns to relay this information to his companions.
"That's...odd. It seems to be completely silent in this area of the forest, like nothing lives. No birds, no squirrels, no sound or sign of ANY animal life in the near vicinity. We should proceed from here with caution, though I think that cave is likely our best bet. Does everyone have a way to see in the dark, before we proceed?"
Friendly reminder: Sun Xiao and Auron both have blindsense 30 ft. as long as the creature has a mind, so no ambush shenanigans. =p
Auron Luckstride
bonus friendly reminder: Auron also has Darkvision. And See Invisibility as a SLA :D
Auron uses a simple prayer to make his feet nimbler. He stays alert to any sign of trouble, using his celestial heritage to make himself capable of seeing that which cannot usually be seen.
"Keep your eyes wide open, fellas, who knows what sort of evil nests in this place"
Auron casts Longstride on himself. He also uses his See Invisibility SLA to be able to detect invisible stuff for the next 130min. As part of his movement, he draws his bow.
Sun Xiao
Tsk tsk tsk, when even the Human has better vision than you have, you need to rethink your life. =p
Sun Xiao decides to take the lead into cave, keeping an eye out for traps and other threats.
Perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 34 +1 vs traps.
Auron Luckstride
"You guys really should get some goggles like the ones Sun Xiao uses. Whoever is in here can see you from a mile away!" says Auron with a sigh.
"Well... Darkness won't protect them from neither Oghma's power nor from my arrows! Not that I think our hosts are too worried about hiding from us."
Nicos
The group enter the cave, Kobal and Sun at the front and auron and castien in the back.
The natural light quickly become too weak for the human eyes so castien castien have to create magical lights.
The initial passaway have 15 ft wide, 10 ft tall and it is mostly straight.
Afther walking for about 50 ft you detect 60 ft ahead of you a large creature, a ceustodaemon
You annoying humans amde a mistake comming here - You hear in your mind -The Darkness is our natural evironment, leave or die here -The Ceusto Dimension door back.
You continue and, well see the map.
The big guys are Ettin, but ehir flesh is hanign are their bones are exposed, certainly they are undeads (they are just large, the size in the map can be misleading). The Red ones are ceustos. The "room" is much taller.
You have initiative.
Sun Xiao
Sun Xiao is just going to wait until the casters have done their buffing thing if they're going to.
Auron Luckstride
"A little opposition always make things more interesting. Let's show these creatures what we can do, my friends. A little favor from Oghma goes a long way to kill these bastards."
Auron casts Blessing of Fervor on his friends and himself, then moves to position where he can shoot his arrows from this side of the corridor. (2 squares to Kobal's right should do)
"We can use this passage as a choke point. Keep that in mind!"
Sun Xiao
I wanted to wait on Castien but whatever. Ain't nobody got time fo' dat.
Sun Xiao enters his unique blending of Snake and Dragon stances, then uses Auron's spell to enhance his speed.
Sprinting up to the middlemost Ettin, he cracks a quick punch at the undead creature.
To-hit: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36

Some things I forgot that first combat (though they only came into play on that single AoO): Anybody within 5 feet of me takes a -1 on attack rolls (and -4 on Concentration checks), and my Cloak of Displacement gives everyone a 20% miss chance vs me.

Sorry for the hold up, this campaign wasn't showing up for some reason.

Castien missiles hurt the ceustodaemon while Kobal and Sun enter the big chamber and totally butchered one undead etting.
But sun inmediately notice something is wrong, besides the ceustos he sense at least 4 other sentient beings in the room flying invisibles at 20 ft high, and sundely 2 of those being just disappear from your blndsense.
You all walked into a trap.
The undead ettins walks mindlessly to block sun and kobal the pass to castien and Auron.
The undeads attacks. Kobal´s big sword block the hit but sun have bad luck and it is hitted for 12 damage (unless yu succed with your snake thing).
Auron and castien see how the ettings are going to block the pass, but before they can act something appear just in from of them. (Only Auron have see invisibility right?) Auron can see taht a Ceusto and a leuko appear in front of them, Castien sense that there is something in front of him but he can not see it until a leukodaemon open his mouth and send a cloud of flies, the same attack you saw the last time (28 dmg, REF DC 21 for half), and you are sickened. The cloud lingers, Everything in The area of the effect (the cone in the map) have cover, and you feel that staying in the cloud is not safe.. (by the way the ceusto is the one closer to castien and the leuko is the one in the back)
Sun and kobal hear their friend pain but before they can act they can hear in their mind a voice diferent from before
Never send a mortal to do a Daemon work -
A diferent daemon, A jackal head one become visible flying at 20 ft high and send magic missile to sun (19 dmg) and at the same time cast a wave of dark energy that make you both feel fatigued (no save).
The ceustos that were on the floor rise in the air to 20 ft, and use thier innate magic dispeling the buff sun xiao had (the one from auron).
(Both ceustos are in front the new daemon blocking the way to it)
Sun can not see it, but at least there is another creautre in the room.

Auron Luckstride
"Well, then... This is unexpected."
Auron teleports Castien and himself into the narrow passage between the 2 daemons and the undead giant. He then proceeds to call Oghmas favor to create a rock-solid shield between the two friends and the Leukodaemons.
Auron uses his domain power to teleport both Cas and himself as a move action, spending 70ft of his daily 130ft teleportation. Auron appears exactly 3 squares away from the Ettin, with Castien 1 square to his right (Auron's right, not the Ettin's :P). He then casts Wall of Stone on the defensive to create a wall between himself and the closest daemon. The DC for successfully casting the spell without provoking AoO is 15 + 2x(spell level 5) = 25. (He can completely fill 13 squares with Rock, so I think that's more than enough to block the corridor.)
Concentration: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 = 39
Auron Luckstride
Oh... Forgot about the Reflex save:
Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
BTW, only the 2nd Dispell worked. Whoever was targeted first is still under effect of Blessing of Fervor.
Sun Xiao
Kn. Planes: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Welp, guess I don't know what it is. OOC I'm guessing it's a Meladaemon?
Sense Motive (deflect attack): 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (14) + 25 = 39
Sun Xiao quickly acts to deflect the Ettin's attack, and then retaliates against the creature. I get an AoO for it missing me. =)
To-Hit: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 30 ⇒ (2) + 30 = 32
Add +1 to each if I wasn't actually Fatigued.
Pretty sure that hits.
"Hey Kobal, you can handle these things, right?"
Without waiting for an answer, Sun Xiao unfurls his wings and takes to the air, hoping to take down the bigger threat. He flies up to the jackal headed demon. Even if he's straight up (and thus I go half speed), I should be able to make it the 15 ft. to be adjacent to him in one move. Assuming you meant he was actually 20 feet away, and not just "20 feet to get within range" since I don't really see him on the map.
Acrobatics (to avoid AoO): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
Sun Xiao snaps a quick stunning blow at the nearest Ceustodaemon, forcing it to resist or become helpless, hopefully opening up a path to the jackal headed creature. And plummet to the ground? DC 17, so hope he rolls low. Also, if it fails he's shaken for 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 rounds as well.
To-Hit: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (10) + 22 = 32
Damage: 1d8 + 30 ⇒ (6) + 30 = 36

(by the way the ceusto is the one closer to castien and the leuko is the one in the back)
Several things. One, Castien takes no damage as he is not in square G9, but is in square M9 (30' due east) as denoted in my last post above. Two, Auron was unable to take Castien with him for the same reason. Three, Auron cannot teleport into the square three squares away from the ettin as that is the square Castien is already occupying (unless he goes after Castien). Four, just for clarification, these two daemons teleported and then made another standard action?
From square M9; taking advantage of the +2 Atk, AC and Reflex saves, using Lunge, Spell Combat, Spellstrike, swift action haste(Yay! I can use haste now and I don't have to have it prepared as it is part of being a spell dancer)
Castien, muttering an incantation and gesticulating with his free hand, takes a step towards the ettin then lunges forward, striking with his ebon bladed rapier. As he does three lines of fire issue forth through the blade, burning the undead ettin.
+2 Atk for Blessing of Fervor, +1 more for Haste

Okay, since we were mistaken about where castien was, can we assume Auron acted after him and did the same thing I previously described, but only spending 35ft of his teleportation power, since he didn't have to bring Castien with him?. BTW I think he's right about teleporting & making an action.
Kobal Veris
I know it doesn't matter but each of Kobal's attacks should have been one higher from big game hunter. His AC is also one higher against the ettins. I also forgot to use blessing of fervor.
Kobal takes a 5 ft. step towards the ettin blocking him from Castien and Auron. He will use evade reach on the other one to prevent an AoO.

First and foremost, Kobal and sun start to feel hungry (fort save DC 22 or become exhausted).
CAstien and kobal slaughtered their respective ettins.
The ceustodaemon hitted by sun is seriously injured but it do not falls. The two ceustos uses their breath weapons agaisnt Snn and kobal and take 22 and 21 dmg(ref save DC 17 for half * do not forget to include any penalty from fatigue or exhaustion in the roll*)
The Jackal headed daemon 5ft back and cast a spell. You feel how you flesh start to whiter. Castien, Kobal and SUn take 40 dmg (Fort DC 22 for half)
The Cuesto and the Leuko that where with Auron teleport back to the main hall, flying about 20 ft high and 20 ft apart from sun (at horizontal distance). The Leuko use a bow he has in her hands to shot arrows against kobal. One arrow hit the barbarian in the chest for 16 dmg (minus any DR), the arrow do not onlly pierce kobal´s flesh but it also try to corrupt his body (Fort DC 23 or
Effect 1d4 Str damage, if more than 2 Str damage, target must make an additional Fort save or be permanently blinded)
FInally Sun sense how the final sentient being enter again in his blindsense range near the jackal headed daemon and seconds later the body of the daemon to become really blurry. Auron with his see invisibility can see that the responsible of that effect is a little gnome that is flying near the daemon.

Sun Xiao decides that quickly taking out the Ceustodaemon so he can get at the jackal one is a severe priority after his spell hits Sun Xiao. He is only 5 feet away, isn't he? You never put him on the other map so I'm confuzzled, but I beleieve you said he was 20 feet away but the Ceustos were blocking me. If not, assume I'll change this second part so he goes after the second Ceusto, which IS 5 feet away according to the map.

Aren't they flying? Meh, doesn't matter. Let's assume Auron acted before Kobal and it all fits perfectly. :D
Auron runs pass Castien and towards Kobal. When he reaches his friend, he call yet another favor from Oghma, granting the Barbarian and himself the ability to walk on air as they do on land.
"Go get them,, Kobal! Show them what happens when they threaten you and your friends!"

Sun Xiao flaps back down and folds his wings again.
"That was far too easy. Should we just trigger the next trap, or should we come up with some sort of plan? As long as we get to wipe out those foul creatures."
You know, I completely forgot to add the +2 to-hit/damage from FE. =(
Auron Luckstride
Auron approaches Kobal and uses one of his spells to relieve the warrior of his exhaustion.
Auron casts Lesser Restoration on Kobal. BTW, both of them have 65min worth of Air Walk. That's over a freaking hour! So enjoy!
Castien Telendil
As Auron takes the time to restore Kobal, Castien takes out three pearls. Concentrating on each in turn, he recovers three of his spent spells for the day.

"If we have the time, I could memorize a couple of spells that may be useful in future encounters today."
Auron Luckstride
"That's a nice idea, Cas, but we must also consider the enemy. Those daemons are not likely to recover their innate magical abilities, but there was a caster among them. He was invisible, but he couldn't hide from my eyes. A Gnome, of all things, was aiding the evil creatures. If possible, you might want to prepare another teleportation spell. Just in case things don't go as planned..."
Castien Telendil
Castien snorts at Auron's description of the enemy caster. "A gnome? Makes sense. Those evil little creatures are usually found hanging from the ass end of some kind of fiend."
At Auron's suggestion of memorizing a teleportation spell, Castien replies, "I have no more of those for the day. I can only memorize some of the least powerful spells in my book. We will just need to win the day, as usual."
Auron Luckstride
"Okay, then. We've never been known for our caution, after all. Do you guys want to wait 15min so that Cas and me get to prepare a few extra surprises for our daemon hosts, or do you want to rush them now?"
Sun Xiao
"Go ahead and prepare, we don't want to go in there without being at as near full strength as we can manage."
Auron Luckstride
"So be it. I suggest you guys focus your wrath on one enemy at a time, if possible. There is an enemy spell caster out there, we can't know what tricks he has prepared. We should also stay close enough to be able to help each other when necessary, but not so close that they can target all of us with a single incantation."
Auron offers his prayers to Oghma, God of Knowledge, hoping that the favor of his patron deity is enough to see his friends through this ordeal.
Auron prepares Bless, Lesser Restoration, Silverlight and Blessing of Fervor.
He then uses his gifts to cast some protect his enemies from evil and restore Sun Xiao's strength.
i.e.: Auron casts Bless and Mass Protection From Evil on everyone and Lesser Restoration on Sun Xiao.
"This should some extra protection to our minds and bodies. And this should bring back Sun's strength."
He then looks at the bow dropped by the daemon.
"So... Who wants that filthy thing? I suppose I can keep it, in case lose my bows for whatever reason, but maybe one of you guys want a back-up weapon."
Auron also tries to identify the longbow's properties, just to be safe.

Oh, wait! Just realized I have an open 1st level slot... So Auron prepares Bless too, since there is no reason not too.
Everyone: We all now have a +1 on all attack rolls and saving throws against fear. Kobal and Auron have about 40min left of Air Walk, and you all get an extra +2 to AC against attacks from evil creatures and a +2 on all saves against effects cause by such enemies. These effects will last for 13min, so we better run if we want to make use of them.
