Sadie took a step back when he did that. "There's nothing wrong with your powers. Not saying I want to stand close to you when you're channeling them. It's seriously uncomfortable. But that doesn't make it bad." she said, with a sympathetic smile. "Just different. There's nothing wrong with different."

"My "powers" caused magic to slowly abandon me over the course of my life. I was able to fling about fireballs by age six, using only a spellbook, becuase my parents really didn't want me to rely on innate magic. But, then after I grew older, I couldn't use magic properly, no matter how much I studied. By the time I got here, I could cast only the most rudimentary of spells. And they abandoned me too, a while ago."

"Adon...I get it. I really do. Your life didn't go the direction that you were expecting and that's...hard. Your whole world got turned upside down by powers that you never asked for, and never wanted. And that sucks. But...that doesn't make your powers bad, any more than it makes my powers bad or Dara's powers bad. Or anyone else's powers here for that matter. Sometimes we just have to make the best we can out of the hand we're dealt. No matter how different it is from what we actually wanted. And sometimes the thing you think of as a curse is actually a gift. You could do a lot of good with those powers, you know."

Fox:
I want to come with you. I am bored being cooped up all the time. How dangerous is this guy?

"I don't know a lot about magic, to be honest. I'm not entirely certain that what I do is even magic exactly. I do know that it's a part of me and I can't make it go away, no matter how much I wanted to. I tried so hard. And I failed. And I lost everything. It took me a while to come to terms with that. To learn to accept my abilities as not inherently evil, just because that's what I was taught growing up. But even after I accepted it...it's like picking up a sword. Anyone can swing a sword. But to do it well, to do it effectively, to be good at it takes hours and hours and days and weeks and months of practice. My abilities are like that. I could make a basic forcefield from the start. But learning how to manipulate them, make them bigger or smaller, stronger or weaker, mobile or stationary, or to be able to do tricks with them like creating a flying disk I can ride on....yeah, those took practice. Lots and lots of practice. Practice I started putting in because someone I had taken out my bitterness on showed me what I was becoming and I didn't like that picture. I saw what I could be instead, and...it was worth working towards. I'd rather be a hero than a bully."

Phaezeriel nods to Ace, ::I will do my utmost, be assured.:: As he turns away toward Ginni, he pauses and turns back and the silver glow from his eyes bleeds into red, and his thoughts quiver with rage, ::Fin͘d̛ hi̶m͘, ̕Ac̀e̷.͢ ̵ ͏Ḑo no̵t t͡o͟y̨ ̕wit̶h hi͏m̶,͏ d͏o͜ n͠o͡t ̨d̸r̷a͞g͠ ̵t͜h͢i͟s͜ ͢out͞. Cindra steps into the cafeteria, flinching slightly at the sight of the spider creature. Andromeda Sunwake wrote:

She laughed. "As if. I'd be the goddess of failure the way I've been going. Can you even imagine? No, it's probably something simpler like Kronos having trouble with concepts like before and after. She's not exactly a linear existence, you know. She sometimes has issues interacting with those of us who are," she said, watching Arthur, Vickory, and the metal man whose name she had totally forgotten head off with the bomb for Melody.

"Alright, that's enough serious stuff for one day," she announced. "Pretty sure they've got Operation Rescue Melody well in hand. And you promised me a flying SIM. One with lots of canyons, please. The up drafts are the best."

As they walked down the hallway, just a short trip to SIM Room 3, Tryko'Sam says, "Well, idle thoughts -- hardly serious stuff." A light chuckle escapes his lips, and then they step into the SIM Room.

As they walk in, he says, "As offered ..." He gestures with a hand, things start to happen.

SIM Room 3:

With hand raised, the default setting of the room's off mode switches nearly immediately. First and foremost, just prior to his disappearing from sight, gloves and visor appear to be materialized on him. The last words he speaks were, "User Tryko'Sam, init full build mode--".

From the manifesting clouds that waif about in the air, to the arid light wind that caresses Andromeda's skin, the scenery switches to that of massive mesas of strong and reddish brown soil, small hedges of brush, a skittering critter with scales darting from one narrowly shady spot to another, and impossibly deep ravines and valleys between the mesas without visible ground, obscured by clouds of green hue. There are teaming signs of life, but a desert setting most certainly-- perhaps even vast, though mountains in the distance with snow capped peaks hint of another scenery full of moisture and likely trees.

"Floating mesas, less than normal gravity, and variety of flight paths. No threats, so enjoy the flight undisturbed." His disembodied voice comes from roughly conversational distance away, but he remains unseen.

A speckling of floating islands manifest, with more greenery and waterfalls pouring down with similar green hued moisture, potentially explaining the fog below's source. Inhaling the air would hint at the slightest flavor of vanilla and mint.

"Let me know if you want a change in-- I'm already prepping various other similar locations, pretty much building a planet here for your flying enjoyment." If he is suffering in any way from whatever ails him, it's clearly not heard in his voice and unseen due to the lack of his presence.

The world around her awaits, while animated with life and detail.

Image Cleric (Divine Gunslinger) 16/ Vigilante (Blitz) 16

Andromeda laughed in delight. "This is amazing! Now I see why you've been put in charge of programming the SIMs."

She steps further into the SIM to make sure she has plenty of room from the door and her form stretches and elongates. It's hard to really see because the change happens so fast. One second there was a petite human girl standing there and the next there was a horse sized dragon, long and sleek with scales of pale lavender. They shimmer like gemstones as the light hits them. When her wings are folded tight near her body they don't look like the could possibly be big enough, but then she snaps them out and they unfurl like sails as she takes off.

She took a minute to gain altitude, but then she found an updraft that she could ride over the canyons. ::Aw, yeah! This is what I'm talking about! Nothing like stretching the wings in open skies!:: she said telepathically.

When the sword is reached for he schools his features looking only vaguely interested, but to a former military man, his focus and the tensing of various muscles and churning of power within him.

And there's really not anything I can do about any of those things, so I'm pretty much just worrying about the same things over and over with no resolution."

Phaezeriel takes a few deep breaths, then turns back to Ginni as the silver washes out the red in the glow of his eyes, ::Be swift. Be safe. I will care for Ginni.:: With that he sets the case on a nearby table and opens it revealing a kingdoms fortune in large flawless gemstones, perfectly cut and glowing each with an inner light.

Ginni:

When Ginni first arrived at the school, it was assumed that she was simply a normal half-succubus. The vampire virus she had contracted was certainly feeding into that assumption. She had been on a particular regimen designed to suppress demonic influences and urges, and it has helped. But since she was cured of the virus, it has become increasingly obvious that Ginni's mother must have been a greater succubus. Greater succubi are not only more powerful than normal ones, they are known for their ability to mentally control others and an utter lack of maternal instinct. When they choose to reproduce, they always deliver female children. At some point in the life of that child, she will change and begin to become a full demon. A sort of demonic puberty if you will. This change can be triggered by the girl tapping into her demonic powers and/or strong negative feelings. It is possible for the girl to retain her soul and her personality through this process, but ninety-nine times out of a hundred the demonic nature takes over destroying the soul of the girl in the process, ending with her becoming a greater succubus like her mother. The demonic transformation can't actually be stopped, but if it can be slowed it greatly increases the chances that Ginni can retain her soul through the process.

"The arrows say that she's outside." She sighed, frustrated. "Normally I'd just assume that she was spending time with her boyfriend, but he's got some training thing he's at this afternoon, so that can't be it."

"I was hoping I could find someone who knew where she went before I asked her parents. You know they're gonna flip if they find out she was wandering the grounds alone after....you know, what happened to Ginni and all."

Andromeda Sunwake wrote:

SIM Room 3, Flight SIM:

Whether by her own powerful wings or part of the simulation, the updrafts do appear frequent, with their warm gushing from below easing her ascents. While flying along, some of the landscape does shift, not noisily or in any horror-movie like fashion, but with a leisurely intention and telegraphic, to lure her into the turns and paths that they create in their motion.

New canyons, and 'valleys' between the island mesas form, with the occasional other winged 'thing' either providing the initial 'leading the way' for her to either chase, or fly along side with showing the course way as it formed, cawing or baying as it beat it's own methods of flight our of glee or terror viewing Andromeda's draconic form. At one point, a cave system, with the clear opening on the other side, offered up with the brief cool down from the dual stars in the sky and circling alien landscapes just a planet's hop away.

The backdrop alone makes for a healthy storyline, their place and distances seem plausible, while the continual fragrances blend together to keep one's nostrils in delight while their body exercises and mind wanders ahead through the paths as they form.

It's not a maze, by any stretch, with the option to go into the winding canyons laid out ahead and the open air up above just a wing or two's flap away, but more of a storybook passage by Andromeda's choice. The occasional parting of the foggy layer below eludes to cooler environments, with tall trees of purple and greens, luring the daring into their branches and trunk low-way as a third alternative course. Far to the right, what appears to be ocean with shoreline cliffs-- while left, equidistant to the mares, taller peaks with it's own local.

The personal exhortation still exists, though, so this could easily turn into an exercise routine, or be modified to include practice of numerous sorts with ease.

If you'd be so kind as to give me a Will check roll, and a Sense Motive if you have such, would appreciate that.
