"The important thing here, Mister Acharach, as your immediate care provider, is that you make an effort to work with me, versus expect me to manage this alone. Pain from and physical damage I can restore easily, but these other issues I'm reading ... Your history does seem rather ...troubling. Specifically, the soul binding. I'm not a priestess, nor a professionally trained psychologist, so if you seek assist in those areas, I could try and find someone better qualified. Have you found your issues started due to this history of soul binding and enchantment? I understand those skill sets are quite imposing on one's mind and, obviously, their spirit."Seeing as there aren't any health related concerns she can deal with at the moment, physically, perhaps the talking part might help in guiding Tresidan to where he would get the best help.
"Soul binding is simple, you could do it, if you tried." Treisdan makes it sound like he is speaking about math or something similar "the soul binding is taxing, but not the cause of this...."

"Soul binding is simple, you could do it, if you tried." Treisdan makes it sound like he is speaking about math or something similar "the soul binding is taxing, but not the cause of this...."
Looking back at Tresidan, she then asks, "So then what is the nature of your issue and what's your suggestion for a solution, if you happen to know the cause? I believe that everyone's wise enough to make an educated guess at their issues, and perhaps solutions. You clearly appear intelligent. I have the impression you're bored and simply killing time here, Mister Tresidan. I trust you aren't that sort of patient?"
Given his expert skills at reading people, it would be clear that his manner currently, is testing her patience, as if he's mocking her.

"A headache I can assist with-- via magic or some simple tea. The other issues, I shall make a note here and recommend Miss Jones schedule a period of discussion with you in the near future."
That exchange of information certainly seems to brighten her day up, being able to help 'heal', and she goes off to fetch some materials to prepare for Tresidan to drink.
Once it's completed, she returns with it, a tea of sorts and offers it.
"Once you drink this, it should, given your medical profile, help with the headache. If your headache persists, it might be due to stress or other issues which are not physical. Remember, healing the mind and spirit isn't a simple matter, nor is dealing with those issues either."
She's certainly of a good nature and caring, excellent qualities for her profession, he has no doubts of that.
"You're welcome to drink that here and rest for a while, if you'd like, but I'd recommend you do so in the privacy of your room."
She smiles warmly and starts 'cleaning' up once the drink is placed near him for the taking.

"W- Oh.... That would uh... not be good... I guess the term Assault is a bit different for you all..."
This was actually something he hasn't thought of. Would he have to stop eating fries?!
This and other probably irrelevant thoughts dance through his shattered and psychosis riddled mind...

Treisdan smiles and sips his tea...
It's quite tasty, nothing allergy reacting, and warm. Within a few moments, the headache alleviates greatly and then is gone.
She seems to have 'finished' with Tresidan, and is going about her normal routines, seeing as there are other matters of work at hand given their reduced staff.

"I am not disputing your account of events, Professor Vare. I will however point out that if the traces of magic were faint that the anti-magic field that was up when I came in would have obliterated them. What I can tell you for certain is that there are not presently any active or contingent spells on this student."
"No, that would be inadvisable," she said in response to Royston. "This student dislikes mental contact. He objected to my non-invasive scan for magic. I am quite certain that he would not give his consent for such an invasive procedure as you suggest. It would be highly unethical to subject him to such against his will. A non-invasive scan was already treading in a moral grey area, but as it involved the safety of himself and others I believed it to be essential."
"Now...there is another problem I am here to deal with. The student I was brought here to examine is currently free from mental influence, but the same cannot be said for Miss...I'm sorry, I don't yet know your name. The girl with the braided white hair. Your behavior is clearly being influenced at the moment...and it appears that it was done by the same being that previously influenced Mr. Denulia. Indeed it appears to be fostering a sort of psychic connection, likely to neither of your benefit. This is most concerning as the being in question is a demon, potentially a demon lord. I cannot in good conscience not intervene."

All this revealing of information certainly seemed to change the attitude of the imprisoned Tryko'Sam, as he stopped staring off into space and looked up and over towards Rena curiously, then back at the others in the room.
Via the telepathy connection that was previously provided, the room 'speaks' his voice disembodied like,
::test? test.. great, it's working. Wait, demon s$!*? I don't know anything about magic-- but, if we're talking demons, doesn't that mean we need a priest, asap? Plus, who are all you people? When did this become a public event? Can't we just get some anti-demon spray or something and be done with this?::
Still immobilized, Tryko'Sam would be smiling, but that's somewhat hard to see given his situation-- at least he didn't /need/ to be imprisoned further, in theory, though how long it'd take for that to get fixed, he no longer cared, he didn't have to stand on his own, per say.

"I could teach you, but secret codes are irrelevant. I don't lie. I give people whatever information they want, if i know it. I tell them all the truth they need to know at the moment. Trust is vital. I'll never understand why people have "privacy" unless they're doing something wrong."

"M'kay. Heavy circumstances don't break the logic, guess it's sound then. To be expected, I suppose. Are all Zif as smart as you?"
Raelle del Sol
"naw, I mean seriously, you saw stuff I didn't, which is impressive enough in and of itself and moreover you seem to think fast, a valuable talent, and you didn't lose your head when everything was going to hell in a handbasket, I don't just make up stuff about people, well unless I'm looking to get laid,"
"Which, of course, you wouldn't be trying to do now since I told you earlier that I have a boyfriend," she said with a wry grin.

"Again, I am sorry. I'm just worried, though not for me. I've been in worst situations before. I'm worried that if I am guilty what that would do to my girlfriend Ginni. She's been really supportive of me so far, but this might be too much for her, even if it wasn't actually me."
"Well, the best cure for worry is facts," she said, taking a few deep breaths and seeming to have things more under control now, if only by a fine margin. "As I said, lean back against the table and I'll run the first scan," she added, pulling the scanner towards the table, her hands still shaking a little as she adjusted it.

Ace does as she says, staying quiet the whole time unless asked any questions, waiting to see what the tests reveal.

Pipes in over the radio...
"Raelle Del Sol is flying shuttles! Awesome, we need smart pilots."
"Uh, thanks Mithros...although I'm just the copilot...and I don't entirely know how to fly this thing yet..."
Oh, please, let the radio not have been on when I mentioned to Arthur that I have a boyfriend, she thought to herself. That was definitely not how she intended to tell Mithros about her and Ardiente.
Melody Waverider
Mel remains on her bed as directed...
Perhaps her inability to do anything else is the reason behind her compliance to Carl's orders.
Her breathing has slowed, any monitiors of her vital signs seem to indicate reduced heart beat rate. which does seem difficult to determine as it is attempting distingush between two different hearts.
Weather accurate or not, the "beep" rate is slower.
This could be the effect of the comma, but her unusal phsiology makes it a little difficult to determine.

"I wish it were that simple. And this is hardly a public event. Your friend here insisted on continuing with her attempts to assist you even after an incident with Mr. Denulia suggested the possibility of her carrying some sort of demonic influence. With two possibly related problems it was only practical to gather both groups in one place. The remaining people here are staff members. Abilities such as your own tend to get a lot of immediate attention. Understandable, considering."
"Regardless, the first priority is removing the demonic influence from these two. And hopefully gaining some insight into how it was gained that will assist with tracking this being down. At which point, while clerical help might be useful, it is not strictly necessary."

Ace does as she says, staying quiet the whole time unless asked any questions, waiting to see what the tests reveal.
After a few minutes she studied the results carefully. "It would appear that the blocks are all in place and untampered with. The monitoring device does not appear to have been damaged by the EM pulse... I'll have to follow up with a telepathic scan to be absolutely sure."
Her mental touch was delicate and to someone less sensitive to this sort of thing would be completely unnoticeable. After what seemed like forever, but in reality took less than five minutes, her mental presence retreated.
"Well, it would appear that you are in the clear. I find no traces of your unwelcome guest having gotten free and your memories of last night corroborate your version of events that you were not the person responsible for the attack on Kitty and her animal friends."

"oh, well, good," flips a few switches doing his preflight checks, ignoring the mild annoyance that the ship didn't have an integrated AI to do this itself it's only reasonable, these things are obviously designed for mass production and those things are expensive
"you were saying that you were low on juice earlier, and were feeling tired, do you need a stimulant, coffee perhaps, if so it'd be best you get to that before we finish loading,"
DM of the coins
Arthur: As you go into your pre-flight checks, you notice Mel's sonic device is connected to an interface panel and is running, (as indicated by the buzzing sound and Light emenating from it.
Raelle, It would seem Mel has set up the sonic device as a continious scan of the shuttle systems and it is updateing the data pad she is holding on a nearly continous basis.
If anything this really reduces some pre-flight checks and it is about as close to an AI you can get considering the simplicity of the design.

well that's convenient
arthur picks up the device and tries to analize it know engineering, if semi sentient acts as diplomacy: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (3) + 38 = 41
almost forgot, raelle, if this ever comes up, Arthur's skin feels very warm, natural weapons/unarmed strikes do +1 fire damage, when he's calm, it's probably less than that, maybe 1 non lethal, but still much warmer than normal

Non-sentient device. But it is of a technology level nearly beyond anything you have ever seen. You know Mel usues it for lots of different applications, but you do notice that there is an abilty to adjust settings to more uses and you think even Mel is unaware of some of these.
two key things you can tell:
1: it has no effect on wood
2: it appears incapable of inflictiong damage directly to living things

"Almost certainly. I'd say we're short-staffed, but honestly we're not. We lost a couple of people, but the problem isn't how many. It's who. Without Bertha keeping things running smoothly, this whole place is falling apart. I don't know how to work the schedules and we've had several people just quit so the dedicated ones end up doing ten times as much work as they should which means they're too tired and making stupid mistakes...and that includes me....sorry for the rant. Shorter answer, yes, we are happy to have any volunteers we can get right now. And I think I need to go speak with the Headmaster and see what his plan might be to replace Bertha," she said, sounding completely frazzled.

Aananda hesitated, examining the woman standing before her.
"Are you capable of moving from this SIM room to SIM room six? I don't know yet if you can be trusted, but any insight into Tryko'Sam's problem would be good right now. If not, I suppose I can bring him here instead...but either way I should go quickly. I have him completely immobilized at the moment and I can't imagine that is the slightest bit comfortable."
Raelle del Sol
"I'm not going to break it," he fiddles with it pressing buttons
"Would you cut that out? Just leave it where she left it. Aside from the fact that it's rude to use her stuff without permission, you don't know what it does, and quite frankly I don't have the ability to do much more fixing...and we have a cargo hold full of people and their stuff to move. So, you know, don't break Mel's stuff and don't break the ship."

"Miss Jones says you not agree to mind scan done telepathically. But I would like to to place you wish's on record, Student Tryko'Sam if I may. What are your wishs in regraded to a telepathic scan of your cognitive brain functions as offered as a mean to help determine any outside manipulation or influence on them. Would you disallow all such telepathic scans under all circumstances?"
He says this in a polite even tone.
