This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Mel's body has a rather unual recation to the magical healing. Ace has most likely never seen it before.

when the healing is cast her body becomes encased in what can best be described as arcs of blue electricity.

despite the apparent danger these arcs should cause, there is no physical damage to Mel.

instead it would seem that the energy that ignited at Ace's touch repeled the magical healing.

to ginni:

at the time Ace cast the spell. ginni recieved several flashing images in her mind (apparently from Mel) all the same, A girls face, someone she has never seen before.

Asha didn't quite succeed at stifling a giggle.

"The lady Prof here also didn't mention, was, I clearly am much more charming than whatever that thing you were relating me too is. So there's that, atop all the other bits."

Tryko'Sam grinned a bit more, clearly appreciating having at least one reaction.

Maya shook her head slightly once more, then seemed to 'realize' that Ehos was in the room, or more importantly, he had pointed ears.

She stared for a few moments, then smiling broadly, looked back at the clawed man, standing defensively, and then to the Professors, as if waiting for a decision to be made.

Patience, it appeared, might be her strong suit.

Maya may also be shocked to realize that the girl the pointy-eared boy is standing with appears to have cat-like (or perhaps dog-like ;) ) ears coming out from the top of her head, as well as a tail. When the older woman gives him an odd look, Ehos felt slightly uncomfortable, though it passed quickly - sometimes in his travels, he would get humans who had never seen an elf before.... usually if those were girls they had been the easiest to bed...

He tightens his grip on Jaiye's hand momentarily before releasing it and steps forward, drawing out his datapad and holding it aloft. 'Miss Jones... you may want to look through my memories too... it might help.' he holds the datapad aloft for all in the room to read, standing just a little stiffly.

Miss Jones wrote:

Miss Jones sighed. "I really need to find the person who wrote that abysmally incomplete text and give them a piece of my mind....sadly the unfortunate author is long since deceased. Ptolemnitus had the worst habit of leaving thoughts and sentences even maddeningly incomplete. Why he thought he could write books is anyone's guess."

"While I can appreciate that this student has some traits in common with the tarrasque, Professor, he also has some notable differences. Including hideously bad breath, subpar intelligence, hide that is impervious to most magics, and extremely large size."
** spoiler omitted **

"You speak as if you have personally met the creature in question." Vare says, and while it is clearly not a question, it's fairly obvious that there's a degree of curiosity in his voice. "I couldn't tell you who the author was, I read it some time ago..."

"I suppose it is less than important in any event." he says after a moment, with a glance at Tryko'Sam.

He does approach Rena though, who seems to be somewhat listless at the moment - depressed perhaps or simply unenergetic. Strange for the typically eager and active snake-girl. Vare's words are tender and he says quietly, a hand stroking her feathers just behind her head. "Are you alright? I think Miss Jones here has all she needs from you." Vare seems to have let go of his intellectual pursuits for the moment to care and tend for his dear friend.

Rena nods, glancing back and forth between Vare, Asha and the almost-departed Tryko'Sam. "Asha... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Rena says somberly, before turning her giant snout towards Vare and nuzzling the Conjurer, the two sharing a tender moment, seemingly without care for the public setting.

Given that she was already off and away, doing her usual stealth and scouting 'thing', as per earlier when following Vai, Anahita's physical nod in acknowledgement to Phaezeriel's detail most likely goes unseen.

Via the Collective, which sadly doesn't include Vickory (unless mistaken), she sends simply,

::Interesting. Collection and trade ... Why, curiously, here-- and mere villagers? Perhaps employed to do so?::

Perhaps more a rhetorical question, it wasn't addressing or pitched to anyone specifically.

::They were probably drawn here by Aegythrax's... activities:: Vai replies through the Collective, a note of bitterness and discomfort in her voice, as she flutters along, grim-faced. ::If they're interested in pain and suffering, then I'm guessing He drew them here.::

Phaezeriel's thoughts come to all those present, whether part of the collective or not. His thoughts are slightly detached, academic, ::These creatures are neither demons, devils, nor celestials. They are evil, as they derive pleasure from the torture and .. mm .. the collection and trade of mortal suffering and pain. The only common traits that they all share is that poison and acid will harm them not at all. They will all have additional, different strengths and weaknesses depending largely on the creatures from which they are constructed.::

Vickory stops for a moment to glare, "Hey! Don't you folks even ask before just dropping into peoples heads? That's very... well, maybe things are different here but do you mind avoiding my head... Please."

Vickory seems more shocked and flustered over it rather than angry, but clearly it isn't something minor.

Culture shock, such a wonderful playground for tension :)

Does Vickory have some way of seeing Phaezeriel? He is currently invisible. Obviously she knows he is there by his thoughts if not the sound of his wings. But if she can see him, he is an unusual specimen of a very common form of demon. Not that I am trying to add fuel to the fire... ;)

Phaezeriel's thoughts come again to everyone within speaking distance, tinged with apology and a small amount of sadness, ::My apologies. But if I am to communicate with you, this is the only way that it can happen as I am unable to speak. Be assured, I am in no way invading the sanctity of your mind, nor am I in any way in your head, nor will I do any of these things against your wishes. If you wish me to cease communicating with you, then I shall do so. But this form of communication will have no more effect on you than a sound wave would by causing your eardrums to vibrate.::

EDIT:

For those who know Phaezeriel well, and have since he came to the school:
For those of you who did not yet know, Something suddenly clicks into place. Ever since his metamorphosis, Phaezeriel has not vocalized a single sound, but his telepathy has gotten much stronger and more versatile.

The one thing about Mel that can be identified is the blue energy. This is definately Artron energy. But it usually is never concentrated so much as it is in Mel.

Mel seems to either been repeatedly exposed to time travel or it has been infused in her molecular structure.

Is Mel "the Impossible girl"?

Vickory ponders for a long moment, "I know what telepathy is and isn't, but where I come from, only intimates or siblings, or sometimes really close friends, use telepathy with each other. If you can't speak otherwise then only speak to me at need." Vickory seems very flustered but thoughtful at the moment.

She will probably come around to accept it more willingly later, but for now she seems uncomfortable with the whole idea. Not to mention wondering what kind of crazy people only speak with telepathy, and wondering if it's natural telepathy, which she's never heard of. the others can feel free to ask her about it, I have the reason why telepathy is seen that way, but she'll only tell if you ask.:)

She glared but not at anyone specific, because she can't see you, but she is used to invisible companions so she isn't bothered by the idea you might be invisible, though after awhile she'll begin to wonder if the spell doesn't wear off.

Maya and Tryko'Sam seem to patiently stand about, waiting for a decision on what next, by those 'seeking out' the demons.

excuse me for intrupting sir. she says in a sweet and calming voice. I don't think using the nanites is a good idea. the annites will begin cellular repair based on known DNA patterns, since hers are unknown, the nanites would try and compensate with known patterns and that might actually kill her.

would it be better we allow her natural regeneration finish? I would be more concerned about what is going on in there she points to Mel's head.

there is not physical reason she is in this comma, something is wrong in there
