Hey there, Monkeygod.

1) That Divination is more than 90% accurate, if you consider it as a player, due to your PC's events within game. Even more so, frankly.

2) That Divination, technically, should have failed out right, due to the defenses of the killer.

3) Lynora vetted the response, if that matters at all.

Now, on the subject of using your character's mad skills, intelligence and what not, to access his memories and sorting out what the God effectively pointed at, while being unable to share ...

I'll take a crack. Just not right away.

The hint is pointing out how to 'find' someone who normally cannot be found, using Divination, which you did use-- or any expert with Divination could use easily.
The hint is pointing out two specific things about that someone, without actually pointing at the bullseye-- which, given point 2) above, is hacks on my part to further the story line.
The hint is kind of an attempt at a mystery/sleuth thing, which clearly, doesn't appear to be of interest if the simple solution is going to be call on a god, and then go to skills in a game where it's been flat out said, skill rolls always succeed and their values aren't too critical.

So, given the above (and that Lynora's on vacation without being able to give me advice) ... does that help?

I'll dwell on this a bit more, not ignoring your skill request, just trying to adhere to the powers and skills in use (see above about skills) without just dropping the answers after a 4th level spell and some real world time passing. If that were to happen-- consider all murders in the world impossible, after all.

I was not asking for the answer, I was asking for an assist in trying to figure out what it meant, in game, because my character is smarter than me.

For example, Ace knows a lot more about magic and spells than I do in real life, because he has 16 ranks in Knowledge(Arcana) and Spellcraft, while I probably have about 4 or 5 ranks in real life(aka irl, used above)

Do you get what I am saying? I, Dave Bruno, not Ace, not Monkeygod, etc, need help. Ace is a lot smarter and thus could probably come up with some sort of what to do next, whereas I can not.

I am not saying "Hey Dami, can I make a Knowledge(whatever) check and you then give me the identity of killer" I am asking if you can give me some sort of hint at what do next because I do not know myself what the next step should be.

Monkeygod it was a Joke, that's all. a light hearted one, but you seem to thing me saying Any thing about your PCs or you needs to be out of bounds or you spit the dummy and threaten me with Lynora. Nothing in your post indicated it was joke. I'm not sure if you have never seen the posts or you ignore them or you can't remember them, but Lynora and and others have said to pretty much all of us at one point or another that one needs to include some sort of emoticon to let people know its a joke post.

Mate I make jokes, lots of em and about everyone and everything. You have a problem with me doing it to your PCs, I'm OK I get that, some take themselves and what they do very seriously and find jokes poking fun touchy and hard. They think it's personnel, you think its personnel, you have a history with me, but I don't have one with you, Honest mate. To be clear, I don't have any personal problems with you at all, I just poke fun at everyone and every thing most of all myself.

So my joke post is removed and I promises to respect your wish's, no more jokes at your expense.

Now I need to know are you also saying that in game, I must also have my PCs have nothing to do with your PCs? because if you are that's way over the top. Its shoots my PCs out of things just because you feel you have the power to do so. If lynora backs you up on this PC to PC demand, then I will have no option but to sadly leave the game.

I agree with Kryzbyn. I seriously do not want Lynora to come back from her vacation, read posts like this, and think she can't go on vacations because she has to babysit people on the internet.

I nominate a hiatus until Lyn gets back. As much as I like this game, we need to just keep it together and let her enjoy herself. It will be especially nice to not have to catch up to pages as well.
