Bryce opens the door and fires a bolt at the room's occupant, which happens to be a large Ogre! The shaft flies true, slamming into the brute for 10 points of damage! The Ogre howls in pain!

Bryce examines the chest, and does not see any traps or locks. He opens it and inside finds a pile of worthless glass beads and other trash, a copper candlestick (1 cp), 823 cp, 46 sp, and 3 gp. A plain grey colored cloak with a hood is also in the chest.

Velcore examines the cloak and discovers it emits a faint aura of Illusion. The cloak, while plain looking, appears to be made by Elven hands. After several moments, he is able to determine that it is a Cloak of Elvenkind. These cloaks of famed elven design are enhanced to reflect the wearer’s surroundings, aiding him in blending in with any terrain. When this cloak is worn with the hood drawn up around the head, the wearer gains a +5 competence bonus on Stealth checks. (Value = 2,500 gp.)

With a very obvious surprise on his face, Bryce reluctantly takes the proferred cloak: "Thanks...but this is...too much, I mean..." He was more than aware that an elven magic cloak was propably way more expensive than anything they found so far. Still, since he was party's "designated scout" it did make sense for him to have it, so he just briefly nods his grattitude once again, dons the cloak and says: "I'll do my best to use it good. Thanks."
Next, he approaches the door next to Cananthir (K-8) and inspects it closely. Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Bryce swings the door open...and there, lying on the floor, are two humans and a gnome. All three are securely tied hand and foot, and all are gagged. The two humans looks like they have been roughed up. The gnome looks like he is unconscious and has been badly beaten. One of the humans again attempts to yell, stifled by his gag.
