James stands and thinks for a moment "Torch said to stick to the path. I guess it depends on how important it is for us to possibly get there first. Between the two of us, we should be able to pull it off. Water and withstanding the heat will be the most important things, except for any encounters we might have."

Good effort I suppose. It is probably wise to give the most difficult horse to the most accomplished rider. Yet one more burden I accept for the good of the team. Not being good on animals, Morka will do his best to stay on the horse for the journey. He does his best to keep up the pace with the group, making odd conversation here or there. He still feels like a stranger to the group, and mostly, he is probably correct. "So, how long have you guys been traveling together? You seem like you know each other quite well. Would you tell me more about the companions you had before myself and Merisiel joined you with you?"

GM Fez |

Mounted you begin making your way to Seeker's Folly. You've enough supplies and materials to easily last the entire trip, but you still have to stop for water at a regularly used oasis. The oasis shimmers like a sapphire in the midday heat. Life clings around its edges tenaciously, with only a few hardy plants nestled amid the rocks managing to survive in patches around the area. Finches bathe in the water, resting on an abandoned harness. Trash and castoffs from travelers litter the area, and a small brick hearth is the only permanent fixture.

Fethril rides through the sands with his traditional heroic disposition. Will Morka continue to prattle the entire time? The half-man seems to have this needy desire to be accepted. I could take him under my wing, but I am already so busy with James and Kelris. "Well Mr Tuxx, a highly effective team takes time, and it seems the powers that be among The Decemvirate recognize that fact. As to our former members, Aura is long missed. Heart and soul of the team she was. And as far as bards go, Sabert was quite adequate. He really came through a time or too. Quite a bit of potential, as much as a short lived race could. I mean, for a non-elven minstral, he was as about as good a travelling companion as one could ask for. Have not seen his like since, and probably will not for sometime."

![]() |

Yes, after this encounter that might be useful. Thanks! I do expect that James and Kelris will want to close for melee most of the time, as they are melee specialists, but if the enemy has no ranged capability at all, which sometimes happens, then engaging at range could be a better option.
Merisiel will have to close for melee if James and Kelris do because she does not have Point-Blank Shot.
