the dragon doesn't show itself for the rest of the trip

you find 18 more caravans in a similar state on the road ahead. 12 of which have treasure on them

in total you get 8,000 gold on them. while the caravan gets its choice of trade goods.

2 days after you see the last caravan you see some soldiers marching toward you further on up the road. the caravan leader is going up to greet them.

there are about 20 soldiers. they halt the caravan and the captain demands to see who's in charge. Charlie comes out and says that is him. the captain asks "do you happen to know why you're the only caravan we've seen in almost three weeks?"

Charlie replies "sir a desert dragon has been destroying the water of all the caravans that pass. they all died to thirst, we were lucky to have a cleric to provide us with water on the way"

the captain looks to his men and then back to Charlie "well it's good to have someone make it through at least. allow me and my men to..." looking over to the under-guarded caravan "help escort you back to the city. it will be good for morale to see trade returning. the city has been in a state of near constant riot for months now, and we can't have you being mobbed in the streets."

they start back toward the city for an uneventful trip. banter is had between soldiers and mercenaries, and Adriala will be in meditation when not making water

you make it to the gates without a problem and the toll is paid. I believe that those of you with wanted posters are either outdated or local to the other city

”We need some muscle though. And some agical weapons! We have gold. Where do we want to go next?”

He licks his lips.

Samias is gone, and Adriala is talking to various beggar groups.

"I'm gonna need at least a head sized chunk to get you started. there are alot of ways to make magic weapons, but this is the easiest way with the consortium interfering in trade like it is." Adrialla says
