Oghren Battlehammer |

After seeing a couple of arrows sink into the ground near Aukan, Oghren runs in shouting, "Time to make goblin butter!"
Oghren runs in and looks for stairs or a ladder.

Sliver. |

Sliver goes in and tries to find cover while shooting back.
Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
I'm doing this on my phone and can't move my token.

Mayberry Kelhandha |

(10) is the windmill, right? We were all at the entrance?
May looks up to see if she can see who shot those arrows perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14. Assuming she can, she points her glowing orange finger at one of them and fire bolt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d10 ⇒ 7 and burns it good.
May decides that being out in the open, even with charging armored friends, is probably not good and steps just inside the windmill. stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 She does a pretty good job at finding a spot to hide.

Okay, we are going to open with Aukan's move, then adjudicate from there.
Aukan looks up seeing the pair of goblins in the loft of the windmill! Passing by all of the sacks of flour on the floor, he begins to scramble up the ladder! Seeing that it is further than he thought, he rushes up and ends in their faces!
Sliver: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Snow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Aukan: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Eeerie: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Mayberry: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Oghren Battlehammer: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Dalron: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Goblins: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Everyone may go before the goblins except Eeerie and Aukan.
Sliver slips inside the door and looses an arrow, catching one goblin through the neck, killing it instantly!
Oghren just gets up to the loft when Mayberry's firebolt wreathes the remaining goblin's head in flame before it falls at Aukan's feet...
Never mind. Combat over! We will hopefully clear all this soon, so that we can move on to the harder stuff!
These goblins seem to have been more interested in fun than looting as you see exploded sacks of flour and one of the two goblins is covered in flour!
You find 3 coppers in each goblin's pouch.
--
As you return down the path, it is easy to see that the next house (4A) probably belongs to the family that ran the windmill. The goblins have looted this house thoroughly and left it in a terrible disarray.
Next to the church (6A) is a graveyard. A few boulders have shattered gravestones. In the NE corner is an above-ground crypt with the name Nandar engraved over its sealed entrance.
Watchtower 2B seems to hold nothing of interest and 6B seems to be another graveyard. It is possible that they ran out of space in the other one and had to start a new one.
When you reach watchtower 2C, you see a pair of domesticated pigs munching on the grass nearby. As you search further, you see that farmhouse 4C, where the first pair of goblins thatcame to help the worgs emerged, has some broken pens and chickens pecking at the earth. Searching inside the house you find a woman's body crushed under a boulder, her arm protruding from underneath!
Building 7 is the stables. The barn has a dirt floor. Five draft horses and five riding horses are confined to the wooden stalls that line the north and south walls. Hanging on the walls are bits, bridles, and leather saddles. Two wooden ladders allow easy access to the hayloft (area 7b).
From below, the loft looks to be filled with haystacks and sacks of oats.

Oghren Battlehammer |

Oghren spots some movement in the hayloft! Oghren shouts up, "Give us a sign that you aren't goblin or our sorceress will toss a fireball up there!"

Mayberry Kelhandha |

Mayberry looks around for this sorceress before remembering hey, that's me! She strikes intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 a rather silly pose that does not strike fear into anyone, you're not even sure what she's trying to do there.
May's sorcery powers are still pretty recent, that's why it sometimes takes a minute to remember she has them and why I play it like she's not always sure what wiggling her finger will do.

![]() |

@Sliver, your subtitle says PP 13, is that wrong?
You actually hear a distinctly goblinoid giggle in response to May's intimidating pose...

Eeerie |

"Jes! I need jou!" Eerie bursts forth from his quiet grinning stupor at the sound of the goblinoid giggle. He quickly pushes to the front of the group. "I need giggly head! Come! We finish play!"

![]() |

The giggle is cut short with almost an 'eep' as Oghren steps forward. Almost immediately after you hear the sound of wooden shutters being slammed open and the squeaking of rope and pulley!
It takes you all just a moment to realize that the goblin that was hiding in the loft has jumped out the back of the hayloft! He is heading out the back!
It is out of sight, but on the map is where you saw the goblin last.

![]() |

The barn is huge. From the front door around the perimeter is about 55 feet, so using his dash, Dalron rushes around the corner, follows the side wall, and comes face to face with the goblin! It looks completely shocked, like it thought it was being clever! >.< I rolled a nat 1!
What would everyone else like to do?

Sliver. |

My passive is 13. I realize now that I should have rolled that perception check.
Sliver repositions and fires at the goblin.
Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Mayberry Kelhandha |

If May can get a shot at the goblin, fire bolt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 101d10 ⇒ 10.
May runs after the others, hoping to catch it with another fiery bolt. She definitely does not want to see its head in Eerie's weird "play".

Snow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Aukan: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Eeerie: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Mayberry: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Oghren Battlehammer: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Dalron: 1d20 ⇒ 9

Sliver

Oghren
Aukan & Dalron
Mayberry firebolt at the ready...
Eeerie
Poor Aukan, he is likely to have his kill stolen again! XD
Sliver's arrow zips past Dalron's hip, threading the cleric's arm and side, embedding itself into the goblin's shoulder! The little creature spins and sort of hits three points, catching itself with one hand.

![]() |

With your move and dash, you can make it there. I cannot remember, you all did or did not take a short rest at the inn? If you all did, you DO have an Action Surge. ;)

![]() |

Aye, they do, but it is quite enough!
Aukan chases after Dalron, keeping pace with the heavily armored cleric, only to see Sliver's arrow zip past him, Mayberry's firebolt fly wide, and then Dalron's mace come down and brain the little goblin!
Ha ha, don't worry Aukan, there will be a chance for glory soon enough! Combat over.
--
You continue the exploration, in watchtower 2D, the door is ajar. You peek in and see a lone goblin girl? Woman? Female anyways. She is admiring a silver locket when she glances up and sees you! Instead of snatching up a weapon, she simply huddles in fear, clutching the little locket to her chest...
How will you handle this situation?

Aukan Knows-No-Fear |

Aukan frowns but then says
Heh ha! Only small glory in victory over such a puny foe. I will strike down their chief! he boasts.
Aukan spots the female and says There is no honor in killing this one. he shrugs and makes as if to ignore the goblin

Sliver. |

Sliver's eyes do not soften when he sees the frightened goblin. In the end, he means to see her dead.
[spoiler=Goblin]"What are you doing here, girl? What are you after?" Intimidate: 1d20 ⇒ 16
With a better look can I tell if she's a girl or a woman?

![]() |

Yes, because of your familiarity with goblins, you know that she is well into adulthood.
She flinches, then in a hesitant voice she says:

Eeerie |

After the battle Eerie rushes to the goblin's corpse. He lifts the body by the head and begins looking it over. He then carefully sets the creature down, pulls out his knife and separates the head from the body. All the while muttering quietly, "Jes!...perfect!...myyysteryyy!.."
**************
As the group quickly moves on to the watchtower, Eerie carries the disembodied goblin head and stays to the back of the group. Though, as soon as he sees the group pause and hears the loud bellows of Aukan (which is his normal voice), Eerie quickly rushes to the forefront of the group to see the object of their interest. As he moves he holds the goblin head in front of his own, bobbing it back and forth as he walks (you think that he might be trying to be amusing).

![]() |

Gonna wait until tomorrow for Sliver to decide whether or not he is going to slay the goblin.

![]() |

Yeah, I noticed that weekends tend to be a little slower. Today happens to be Kamehameha Day, so I am off work today, so not online as much.

Sliver. |

Oh! I was giving everyone else an opportunity to ask her questions.

Oghren Battlehammer |

After some time thinking, Oghren asks "Do they know who threw the boulders or did someone tell them to come here?"

![]() |

@Dalron, nice I was born and raised here too. Been building the AL here on Kauai for the past couple of years.
In response to Oghren's question, Sliver translates that sky castle came and dropped rocks. Then it left. They watched from their caves to the North.

Oghren Battlehammer |

"Blasted spell-casters not leaving well enough alone..."
History check on floating castles.
History: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

![]() |

Oghren has heard of giants that have flying castles, but you always thought that was folklore!

Sliver. |

"
If she says yes, then Sliver will grudgingly let her go. Their other prisoner too.

Snow in the Valley |

Wondering what the commotion behind the barn is, Snow finally decides to set her new friend down. "Do not strrray far my frrriend. I will come back forrr you."
Then walking behind the barn to see what the is going on. Seeing Silver talking to the goblin, she tries to listen in. When she hears about the giants and a floating castle she looks up just to make sure there wasn't a castle still int he sky ready to drop rocks again. After a few seconds, she seems to be satisfied that that will not happen and then waits to see what her new companions will do with their prisoner.
Sorry, Paizo ate my post from last night :(

![]() |

The goblin lass grins a toothy, ugly grin, but seems genuinely happy. She is even happier when you let her go!
Do you let her keep her trinket? She holds a silver locket lovingly, as if it is her favorite thing in the world.
