@Sliver, well, the goblin is still unconscious. So you can still do that. It hasn't even been an hour yet. 1d4 ⇒ 1
Sliver's arrow thuds into the leg of one of the goblins, who begins shrieking! The pumpkin, however echoes and muffles it, for the time being.
Goblin 1 -4 hp, Goblin 2 -0 hp

Oghren Battlehammer |

are we attacking these goblins and then checking rest of houses? or attacking these goblins, checking on tied up goblin, then checking rest of houses?

![]() |

You figure that by the time you clear out the perimeter, the goblin should be awake. But it could be hours.

Oghren Battlehammer |

otays, no goblins on map
Oghren runs to closest goblin and swings his great axe!
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

![]() |

This is going to be fast!
The other goblin, moving to remove the pumpkin gets his head separated from his body by the dwarf's mighty swing!

Sliver. |

I meant to interrogate the one goblin, then go out and see these two goblins in the field, then go from there. That's why I did that intimidate roll.

Eeerie |

Eerie flops down cross-legged clapping gleefully and giggling, clearly his energy has returned. "Jes! JES! I knew lord would not let me down! A group of murderers! JES!"

Snow in the Valley |

Snow moves out of the inn, her eyes darting back and forth watching the efficient killers do thier work and searching for any additional hidden goblins. Cocking her head slightly at Eeerie’s observation and response. She then darts off to the side
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Seeing none, she darts to the side out of sight of the party in an attempt to hide and observe the new companion without her knowing. Oh and watch out for more goblins...
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

No, I understood, but unless you guys heal the goblin, it will be out for a while. It could be hours and you haven't even spent more than 30 minutes talking to Kella. I didn't want to assume that you were exhausting any healing spells. I will keep that interrogation roll for when you do finally have that chance, if you want.

@Sliver, sure! That works!
Aukan charges up and buries his axe into the second goblin! Combat over...
As Snow scans the area and keeps a stray eye on Kella, she spots a pair of goblins emerge from a nearby watchtower drawn by the ruckus and Aukan's battlecry!
Initiative:
Sliver: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Snow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Aukan: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Eeerie: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Mayberry: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Oghren Battlehammer: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Dalron: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Goblins: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Aukan, Sliver, May, and Snow may go first. If they are not dead by then, Dalron and them go at the same time (I can use your sacred flame roll if you want or you can roll again). Then, after that, Eeerie and Oghren can go...
Map Updated.

Mayberry Kelhandha |

perception to see other goblins: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
May walks up to be nearer to the goblins good grief the whole map moved...hopefully I got it back right!, looks at her fingers as she wiggles them, and since they're still a bit away, shoots a fire bolt in the direction of the one that's still in one piece. fire bolt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 111d10 ⇒ 10

![]() |

Fixed for you!
Mayberry blows gently on her fingers, igniting them in flames! She flings it at the goblin, missing it and the bolt bursts against the watchtower before going out! I hope you don't mind the flavor text!

Sliver aims his shot, but the wind shifts suddenly and the arrow just misses!
Initiative Order

Snow springs from the hidden location behind the barn and attacks the goblins.
If she has suprise
This is the quarterstaff advantage roll.
Advantage?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Doesn’t look like it matters.

Aukan Knows-No-Fear |

Oghren Dwarf Friend! Did you see my mighty blow! Wakpa We!
Aukan charges off at the nearest Goblin, striking out while singing a mountain clan's solemn song.
I am Titan-Bane! I have fallen many foes! My axe bites deep!
Battleaxe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Aukan's axe buries itself in the chest of the goblin! The goliath feels the satisfying series of pops as it cleaves through each rib...
At almost the same time, Snow blows across the field, swinging her staff at the other goblin's head! The little creature ducks that blow and laughs aloud until her spinning backhand snaps its neck!
Combat over. I am going to do some exposition as you explore. Would you like to circle clockwise or counter-clockwise?

![]() |

Got it! Starting with the windmill...
Clearing out the watchtower at 2E, you find a pair of sacks stuffed full of things ransacked from the area.
Sack 1: Aside from a bunch of rubbish, there are a couple sets of wooden eating utensils and three vials of perfume.
Sack 2: A stuffed (taxidermy) blood hawk, a battered copper tankard emblazoned with the visage of a grinning halfling (worth probably 1 gp), and several articles of clothing.
As you continue a clockwise search pattern around the perimeter, you find that the residence (4H) has been partially collapsed by a huge boulder. As you investigate, you find the bodies of an elderly human couple. The woman was crushed under a fallen wall, and what you assume to be her husband, seems to have died of what you can only assume is fright!
You find that one of them seemed to have been the town's notary and records keeper, as you find a writing desk along with records and wax-seals, etc. You also find a pouch of gold stuffed in the back of the drawer containing 32 gp and 17 sp. The signature on many of the records is Melantha Xelbrin.
As Mayberry walks by a bookshelf, there is a flurry of movement and a flap of feathered wings as a winged cat flies from a hiding place and out the window!
You may interact with that as you'd like...
---
You continue around the perimeter and first see the tower to your left. (2F)
A falling rock punched through the roof of this tower, collapsing everything but the outermost wall. A search of the debris unearths the broken remains of a ladder and a battered wooden door with broken hinges.
But to your right, you all notice a pair of footprints in the muddy path up to the windmill. Sliver quickly points out that they belong to a pair of goblins, by the length of their toenails and the length of their stride.
That was a decent chunk of information. I'll let you digest and decide how to proceed.
EDIT: @Sliver, yes, this seems to all be one tribe...

Eeerie |

Eerie stands up, follows the crew about and says quietly to himself as if talking to somebody else, "They are merciless killers! This so exciting! Lord would looove this!"

Sliver. |

"I agree. We clear the windmill, then go back and see if our captive has any information for us. After that, we finish the area past the chapel and, finally, the keep."

Snow in the Valley |

Feeling a sense of comradary with the winged feline, Snow exits and tries to find the creature. Moving around the building she purrs loudly in an attempt to find the creature.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Pulling out a strip of dried fish from her personal rations, she tries to lure the flying cat to her while watching out for the pesky goblin rodents.
Animal Handling: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Snow agrees with the others to clear the windmill and then return to the inn to question the goblin. She reprimands herself for taking her watchful eyes off of the newcomer, but her airborn cousin was too strong of a distraction to resist.

Mayberry Kelhandha |

Mayberry agrees, That sounds like a great plan. How many more goblins do you think remain here still? But even as she asks the question, she wanders off behind Snow, curious to see what flew past her. As she watches Snow try to befriend the flying cat, she backs up to the others, not wanting to interfere. But she does keep looking back.
If she'll talk, she strikes up a conversation with Kella. charisma: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Oghren Battlehammer |

Oghren follows Dalron up the hill. "Surprised our fighting across the path didn't call attention to us."

![]() |

Snow, through all of her ministrations, manages to coax the winged cat out and it greedily munches on the food that she offers. After a short few minutes, the tressym alights on the tabaxi's shoulder. Snow notices that the cat has a collar with a little ID tag, with the name Rillix imprinted on it.
Mayberry strikes up a conversation as they watch Snow and the tressym and as they walk down the road. Kella is not the most talkative, nor does she seem to be very comfortable around people. That being said, May does manage to strike up a conversation. You find that she is originally from Yartar, to the north and that she was supposed to meet some friends here, but she is not sure that they are coming anymore.
As you all approach the windmill, you are not attacked...

Sliver. |

Sliver notes that both Snow and May have made a friend. He continues toward the windmill taking more caution as he gets close to it.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

![]() |

You guys make it all the way up to the doors of the windmill without incident. Sliver's keen elven ears catch some whispering up in the rafters... definitely speaking goblin, but too hushed to make out completely.

Oghren Battlehammer |

Oghren points to sliver and them uses his fingers to show walking, then points to eyes and has his two fingers looking up.

Snow in the Valley |

If not she stays toward the back and protects her new friend. For now anyway.

![]() |

There does not seem to be a window in this windmill... It looks like the only entrance is the door below...

Aukan Knows-No-Fear |

Aukan looks around at his allies attempting to be quiet.
You shame yourselves! Aukan Knows-No-Fear does not cower before stinking Goblins. he says incredulously
I am Aukan! Titansbane! Slayer of the Goblins and their Four Legs! I have bested two of your number this very day! Throw down your weapons Goblins! Or do not, it will be Glorious Battle then!
Aukan walks through the door, trying to draw attention to himself.
Is it just me or does the Bigger /bigger text format not seem to be working.

![]() |

Earlier, I used the smaller text format, but haven't used the Bigger one... Hah! nope. Hah! Smaller seems to work, but bigger no...
Aukan heads into the windmill and a pair of arrows fly down at him! You knew it was coming...
Gob 1: Shortbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Gob 2: Shortbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
But both arrows fly past the barbarian, sinking into the ground around him!
Okay, Aukan can see the two goblins, hiding in the rafters. They have half cover and so, have an AC of 15.
