I want to apologize for my prolonged and unexplained absence. A lot has happened and I have been very busy. I won't lie, along the way I kind of forgot to check in on this game after awhile.
So, here is my question. Are you all still watching this campaign page now? Sign off, who is still here?

Shanosuke |

Just an FYI, due to running so many Edge of the Empire games, I have grown very comfortable with the rules and won't be as strict with them as I was with D20.
I am also going to allow force specializations and such for this game now as well. I have grown more comfortable with this system also and feel it is not too over powered. Just let me first before you select any specialization or powers so I can know. They will be significant to the long term plot.

Darius Lucien |

Shanosuke, when you say upgrade, do me that two allies with stealth can allow me to convert the two green dice to two yellow dice?
I haven't posted because I'm waiting on a response to the above to make sure I do the rolls correctly.

In fairness, I am deleting a post that I never saw. For some reason, it posted my rolls twice with different results. The first one appeared while I was drafting and editing the second one. The second one was the only one that I saw until I posted the first one.
I deleted the first one, but here it is in case you want to use those rolls (I didn't check them to see if they were better or worse):
I'm going to assume that everyone is helping with this check, unless I hear otherwise. I also took some liberties, feel free to adjust.Darius motions for everyone to gather around the map as he begins to suggest a path, as he goes through his suggested route, pointing out ways they can move covertly.
As he points to one part of the route, Arana chimes in and explains a slight adjustment to help them go unseen.
When reaches another area, Janitor talks about an old trick that his squad used to move through that type of area without drawing attention to themselves in a previous battle.
Listening to Zaleos talk about his experience on Malaki, leads to another improvement on the original plan.
Karval ads the finishing touches, pointing out ways to avoid detection by hiding in the alleyways and avoiding patrols.

Assisted Stealth Check: 4d12 + 2d8 + 4d6 ⇒ (9, 12, 9, 7) + (6, 6) + (2, 2, 2, 3) = 58
Difficulty: 4d8 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 1) = 11

Triumphs are usually good for significant narrative advantages
A few examples for the current scenario are:
1. Your skills enable you to, along the way, mug some rebels with helmets and better IDs to provide better disguises
2. You find a good route and transmit the route to other teams in the city who can assist in your objective. You do have friends in town with the same objectives.
3. You highjack a rebel vehicle
4. You arrive when the first tower's guard is at its weakest.
5. You learn the quickest route between defense towers.
6. Use your imagination. I will give liberties with success triumphs. I will adjust if the advantage you give yourselves is too much. Use your best judgment.

Darius succeeded. Once you guys chose your triumph bonus and narrate your way to the city defense towers, I will post the next event.
The point of EotE is to be an epic, narrative based game. So once you know the results of your rolls, imbelish writing out your success or failures

Figured we should move to Discussion to figure out how we want to do this.
The first option seems like a bad call--while most of us are at least decent at Stealth, I see a distinct lack of Deception and Streetwise in our group, so we probably don't want to make anyone roll those.
Option 2 is a good possibility: as I said most of us are good at Stealth, and Karval and I both have a good Melee skill (Karval is overall better, I believe). Alternatively, if we're willing to risk it, Darius has the best Stealth skill in the party and a strong Ranged (light) skill, so he could go for that again.
Option 3 doesn't seem like a great plan, especially if we don't have a jammer, since I think the highest roll in the group is 1d8+2d12.
These are just my thoughts, but it seems to me that we'd be best off having someone attempt to sneak up and take the Rebels out from behind.

Zaleos Buerlon |

Whoops! I thought we had a good set of Computer Use skills between all of us...I guess I should have checked further, he he.
The main reason Zaelos was trying to avoid using violence was to keep sliding to the Dark Side. Unconsciously I have been playing him as a Jedi-in-training here, plus too his species is not a violent one (Visas Marr notwithstanding!)
On further thought, I think if we can get a jammer here it would be worth the risk. If we cannot get access to one then I think ambushing the Rebels is the best (if not optimal) option here.

K, found Shanosuke's post regarding Destiny Points
Destiny Points
I don't think we rolled for Destiny Points, a search of Gameplay and Discussion comes up empty.
So , we all need to roll a Force die (1d12) and figure out how many Destiny Points are in the pool.
Now then, as I said I need to use a Destiny point to magically produce the jammer to do the computer job....but Option 2 the ambush sounds quite a bit more fun :)

Trooper A-337, "Janitor" |

I think the general consensus is that going with the ambush is likely the better option. Spending the Destiny Point could potentially lead to less conflict... but we still face the trouble of having relatively low Computer Use in the party. Whereas you, Darius, happen to be quite adept at stealth, as well as combat.

Destiny Points = I have been holding off on these for some time because I wasn't sure how to intergrate them into a forum post since they are session by session.
Most "Per session" talents I intend to make available once per job/mission/adventure.
After giving it some thought, I think we should simply have a running pool for the whole story arc.
If you are okay with that then can I have you all roll a d12 (Force Die) to determine our pool.
Oh and again sorry for rerolling your check. I felt it would move things along.
