If you were to base your selection based mainly on introducing people to Pathfinder, which AP would you pick? The ones that most interest me to run are Giantslayer, Rise of the Runelords, and Emerald Spire.
Hmmm ...
Rise of the Runelords uses several "classic" themes, which is good. But parts of the AP can become a meat grinder, and this could be discouraging (Xenisha for instance).
Giantslayer is not yet completely available, so it is hard to evaluate.
I don't know enough about Emerald Spire to offer any input there.

Would depend on what kind of experience you want to give your players and what kind of experience they are expecting. I've been playing through Giantslayer and it's a lot of fun, but it's thrown several curveballs into what i was expecting to happen so far. You may be better off running a module vs and AP as an intro and then move into an AP after they've gotten a feel for the character and decided if they like what they are playing.

Really it depends on what they like, if they watch a lot of Star Wars type stuff, Iron Gods is the place for you :-)
If you'd rather drop a Tolkien bomb on them, go for Giantslayer or Rise of the Runelords.
If Indiana Jones or The Mummy are more their style Mummy's Mask is going to work best for that :-)
If you're into Pirates, there's Skull and Shackles
If you want a Batman/Princess Bride cross over special, Curse of the Crimson Throne is an Instant Classic

I'd suggest looking into Legacy of Fire. You need to do a small amount of conversion from the old 3.5-rules to Pathfinder, but it's so simple it becomes second nature (in all honesty, the biggest deal is to make sure all skill check difficulties are lowered by 3 for PF, over 3.5).
There are plenty of dungeons, lots of opportunities for characters to interact and get to know each other's strength and weaknesses, some pretty cool NPCs and, one of my favorite things, around mid-adventure, it allows the players to really get familiar with what it means to buy equipment and to barter for it, in the most trade-friendly city in Golarion.

I didn't suggest most of those because the OP listed three specific options - Emerald Spire, Rise of the Runelords, and GiantSlayer.

Like a lot of poster I would say go with the AP who theme most match the interest of your players.
Though if I had to suggest one I would say reign of winter, it is very linear and this can be very nice for new player who may not know how to role play. I would also say stay away from emerald spire as a mega dungeon could possible be very boring for your players.

I would advise again Reign of Winter. It is linear, indeed, but the story it tells is completely bonkers. It is interesting, but not the best at showcasing what Pathfinder usually is.
Rise of the runelords is a *really* solid choice. It has a classic Pathfinder vibe and most of it is awesome. Some later parts of the AP are a bit weaker but not terribly hard to fix.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I have decided to run Rise of the Runelords. As for new players making bad decisions, this is why I have carried a house rule from my old group that gives players three sessions to field test characters.
Just stay alert for potential TPKs and you should be fine. If you're using the anniversary edition then it's much better, but you still (as a GM) need to keep your eyes open.
