Male Kobold Unchained Rogue 3

Mopsank listens in on the conversation happening below him, but doesn't say anything.

Male Kobold Beastmorph 1 | HP 9 / 9 | AC 18; T 14; FF 14 | CMD 15 | F +2; R +5; W +2 | Init +3 | Per +6

Don't forget your night action Mopsank.

Come on guys, let's get things moving again!

Male Kobold Unchained Rogue 3

Didn't the GM say not to do night actions this time?

Oh. I forgot to say you can send them in now. Just wanted to do the punishment in case that would change anyone's actions.

Male Kobold Unchained Rogue 3

Oh! Okay, sorry!

After nightfall, Mopsank sought out the one he'd heard called "Cuss-Cuss", and subtly brandished the instrument he'd procured.

"Maybe now you owe Mopsank something? Big favor, maybe?

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

after Talking with Sassarra, Badger looks to enjoy interaction with Sassarra.

Meerko with Riaris Krine
Krine shakes his head. "Don't give Kipper ideas. His love of fire is scary on a wood ship. Drop a keg of black powder normally won't light a ship on fire."

Mopsank with Cuss-Cuss
Cuss-Cuss smiles widely. "Favor? You earned your self a friend. You will need some with how some feel about you on this ship."

Syrrex and others.
Turlach looks at Syrrex. "You're crazy. We can't take on most of the ship. You just got a taste of what Scourge does for fun, and he looks to have it out for you and our friends."

"Yes, yes. Time is needed," Quinn speaks up. "Wait till better time. Make mor friends, but no talk of taking over ship. Cap'n has ears. You just got here."

GM roll:

While working Sassarra found a sealed flask with some liquid in it.

Male Kobold Beastmorph 1 | HP 9 / 9 | AC 18; T 14; FF 14 | CMD 15 | F +2; R +5; W +2 | Init +3 | Per +6

Meerko shrugs in a slightly sheepish manor at Krine, "Okay, fire bad example. But Meerko can make much more. Just remember that if you need, yes?"
Did I manage to improve her attitude at least?

Are we ready to move on to tomorrow then?

At some point Sassarra will find Meerko. "I've found this and I'm not quite sure what it is. Can you figure it out?" She will give him the flask to examine.

About Mid-day you see Jack, who was also hunting rats and other vermin, run up out of the bilges and go above deck.

Mopsank Perception:

DC 10 Perception:

Jack's face is ashen and you over hear that Jack was attacked by something big in the bilge and it looked like a big rat.

Plugg looks around for a bit before he calls out for each of you. The call is passed along. When the five are on deck he tells you all to go down to the bilges." Something big was found down in the bilges that needs deading. Don't come out till it is dead."

She runs quickly, now that she knows enough of the other swabs habits to be able to pass them swiftly. She'll even whisper "Tag, you're it." to some of the ones with better senses of humor. Overtly she's trying to be efficient and avoid punishment.

As she delivers messages, she's listening intently to try and overhear anything of use. The officer's relationships. Juicy gossip. Weaknesses.

So I don't forget, after the fight I'll talk with Jack Scrimshaw. Assuming that practices his namesake, she'll watch him work. "I had an uncle into carving. Always working, he did hundreds of items. Of course, his work was crap. But, you've got an eye."

Going with the stealth, since my size and Dex gimme a +7 overall (I forgot I didn't put a rank in Stealth like I usually do... oh well.) Unless I crit-fail, I should be good.

Syrrex seems to have a natural talent for hunting the little vermin below decks... it wasn't just him, he had the supernatural aid of hundreds of dead kobolds helping, so it wasn't too hard.

When Jack runs out of the bilge, Syrrex takes a pause and wonders what has him so spooked, before following him up to the deck.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Syrrex quirked his brow, watching Jack carefully and listening while he waited for the others to arrive. Once they're dismissed, he whispers to the others. "Sounds like Jack ran into a BIG rat down below. I got attacked by a spider down there. Seems the decks below are full of things that don't like the crew... perhaps we could use that to our advantage."

Peering into the flask, a small draconian smile creeps across his snout, "Poison, oily, many-legged worm I think. Thickens the blood, slows it's victim. Do you want Sassarra? If not Meerko will hang on to it. Can come in handy."

----------------------------

In the morning Meerko squints against the sun's glare, Too bloody bright by half...least the tall ones will be happy.

Downing another mouthful of his own murky concoction, Meerko pauses to allow it to fully take effect before casually scaling the main mast to the crowsnest and tying himself off.

Cast Monkey Fish and take 10 on climb checks.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Hearing the call, Meerko scrambles out of the nest and slides down a rope to join the others. He scowls at Mr.Plugg as he explains the situation, Sending one rat to kill another is all this one sees..., but nods all the same, "Aye."

Leaving Plugg behind, Meerko moves to the front of the group as they head towards the bilge, drawing the dagger from his belt as they walk. Before entering, he reaches into his belt and offers the flask of poison to Mopsank, "Here. You seem the type. One prick and they'll be stumbling. Might do to save for Scourge though."
Provided Sassarra didn't want to hang on to it?

Once inside, Meerko peers into the gloom of the gloom, searching for whatever might have spooked Jack.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

What's the light like down here? Lamp hanging somewhere or do we need our own?

Hearing that it's poison is a bit of a disappointment, but it's still useful to the others. "I've never dealt too much with poison. When you call the storm for your blade poison just burns off. All I ask is that you use it well."

There is only a little light down there. But everyone has low-light or dark vision.
The standing water gives the rats concealment. (20% miss; high is better.)

When the other kobolds gather, he graciously accepts the poison, and squirrels it away for safe-keeping. It will come in handy in time, he's certain. He follows the others down to the bilge, doing his best to keep out of sight in case whatever was down there turned out to be bigger than him.

Mopsank shakes his head no.

"No, bad idea. We don't come back fast, we get beatings."

She sighs. "I'm going to need a moment." She cautiously looks at her bites, taking care to keep them up and out of the filthy bilge water.

After the fight, a quick look around finds boxes and crates of stuff. Most was for 'human' size people. But there is a suit of leather armor, and three heavy maces sized for kobolds.

Sarag stays and looks around into the dark water for a hour. But the harsh heat wares at Sarag.
He takes 3 nonlethal damage. He is now suffering heatstroke and is fatigued. The fatigued goes away when the damage is healed. Nonlethal goes away level/hour. So he will no long be fatigued for his night actions.

But he finds a Well-crafted small Handaxe. Likely dumped here when few of the other pirates could use it.Masterwork handaxe

The Perception check lets you find one item per check passed. So more than one person can make a check.

Ps. Just realized that I have not made a party loot sheet for this game yet. So loot sheet. You don't have to use it for your own stuff if you don't want to. I just have the tabs there if you want. I put the loot in the party tab. Just remove something from there if you are taking it.

Sassarra searches the area over near Syrrex. Within touch distance. hint, hint
