Aldren Halfblood |

The spoiler was just the Attack of Opportunity and saving throws if needed for exploding fey and poison bites. If we're in a new round, I haven't done anything. Sorry, I cleared muddled things up. But I'll go with your decision.

GM Aarvid |

Ok, yes, then your action is due as well. Please take it. Sorry again for the confusion.
The only person who acted this round was Julessa as Lubella had this as her last round of paralysis.

Talvek Drassed |

Things were not going well for his new friends, and the fey he was fighting stubbornly refused to cooperate, so Talvek dashes over a few paces to where the half-elf Calistrian is fighting, with the thought of lending a helping blade.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

GM Aarvid |

Talvek dashes to Aldren's side, but his blade is delayed and misses his intended target.
Arcos steps back and fires another bolt at the fey, this time with a missile of force which strikes the purple creature.
Aldren then they go...

Aldren Halfblood |

Thanks and my apologies. Tried to do something you hadn’t asked for and messed it all up.
Aldren takes another five foot step back, circling Lubella, then calls to Calistria to heal him of his wounds.
Cure Light: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

GM Aarvid |

No worries. Make sure to call me out if I miss something.
Aldren steps back to cure himself of the many tiny wounds.
As two of the fey have died and all the others have been injured, they can tell you are not the usual easy targets they have come to enjoy.
Låt oss snabbt gå nu, skynda! in Sylvan
They all bolt, trying to withdraw from you and flee.
Most are able to withdraw, but are vulnerable to opportune attacks from adjacent allies or as they pass.
aoo Arcos: 1d20 ⇒ 18 for dagger: 1d4 ⇒ 4

aoo Aldren: 1d20 ⇒ 7
aoo Talvek: 1d20 ⇒ 20 for rapier: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Arcos slashes the one closest to him, but his dagger does not cut deep enough. Talvek pierces yellow and it drops to the ground before him, exploding into a noxious cloud.

Lubella Heathertoes |

The poison faded and Lubella's muscles started working again; her eyes narrowed with fury and she spat blood. "دندان های من را به عقب برگردان، کمی گریه کن!"
She raced after the thief, pointing at it and shouting, "Arcos, that %$&@#* stole my teeth! Shoot it!"
Double move, pointing at blue.

Talvek Drassed |

"Ha!" Talvek exclaims in triumph as one of the creatures falls to his blade. The little buggers were running away, and he couldn't have that. Dropping his rapier, he strings his bow, aiming at the one that Lubella was pointing at, and loosing a shot.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 1 = 15 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Aldren Halfblood |

Aldren watches the demonic sprites take off down the street and curses. Too far for a spell and I won’t have my crossbow loaded fast enough. He briefly considers pretending to be paralyzed to lure the beasties back, but dismissed the idea almost as quickly. So, with nothing better to do than watch the halfling bleeding from her mouth go running off down the street in pursuit of a malevolent dental technician, he drops his morningstar and takes off at a slow jog after them while he draws his crossbow.
”Come back you little beasties! That tickled and I want some more!” Oh gods, Aldren... ‘That tickled’!? You’re going batty.
On phone so cant move my token, but double-move west at 20’ movement, drawing crossbow as part of a move action, dropping morningstar as free action.

Julessa Emberlain |

Juless comes running around the corner, sees Lubella chasing a particular fae, and lets fly with a wild shot from her crossbow.
Attack on blue: 1d2 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The bolt slams into the side of a house only a few yards from her, causing her to frown in chagrin at the sheer awfulness of the shot.

Lubella Heathertoes |

I think Julessa should be rolling a d20 to attack, not a d2! :)

Aldren Halfblood |

I think that went a couple yards further. Maybe hit a chimney. (Not that I have any room to talk. ~ Sir Whiffsalot)

GM Aarvid |

And with the tables turned, the hunters have become the hunted.
Talvek drops his rapier and takes a single shot with his bow, but it just misses the fleeing fey he targeted.
Aldren drops his weapon, adding to the collection on the street as he double-times it after the flying pests.
Julessa, fiddles with her crossbow and gets the sights repointed but still misses, the bolt hitting a shingle on the roof near it.
Lubella spits more blood and curses (-1hp) as she dashes after the blue fey sporting her two tiny pearly whites.
Arcos...

Arcos Vadreis |

Arcos tries to hit the flying beast but misses badly. He scowls and says to Lubella, ”The Blue Warlock apologises, your teeth may need to be regained some other manner.”
Mystic Bolt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Aldren Halfblood |

LOL! We can't hit for @&@*! =D

GM Aarvid |

Arcos takes out another shingle as his bolt sizzles the roof of the nearest building.

The four remaining fey quickly turn the corner and head south.
They descend and stop before a large hollow below the corner of a partially collapsed tavern, once part of the building’s root cellar.
The hole before them appears to be a very tight squeeze as Lubella's light illuminates the abandoned building.

10-Creatures-group B (flying 15') blue(-3, FORBIDDEN),green(dead), purple(-4), teal(dead)

Lubella Heathertoes |

Lubella raced forwards after her quarry, dripping blood as she ran. As the villain slowed in the crowd in front of the hole, she swung her glowing blade at the dental thief. "They're trying to squeeze through a hole into this cellar!", she called out.
Scimitar, Bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
The dice really don't want Lubella to get her teeth back! :(

Talvek Drassed |

With the matter of the halfling's dental integrity at stake, Talvek does not stop to pick up his weapon, although it held great value to him, sentimental and otherwise. Instead, he sprints down the street. careening around the corner as he follows Lubella.

Aldren Halfblood |

As Aldren comes around the corner, he sees the fey disappearing into the building and curses. No time to load and fire. So, he comes up the rest of the way looking at the hole into which the fey have fled. Lips pursed in consternation, he offers a passing thought, "You know, dear, I have it on good authority that a lack of teeth isn't all bad. Your dietary options are more limited, tis true, but..." He looks at the halfling, still bleeding from her mouth, and sighs. "Let me heal that for you, then we can burn them out. I have some alchemists fire somewhere."
Double-move; still wielding crossbow. Morningstar left in the street.

GM Aarvid |

The fey stop before entering the small space, and turn to fight as they were not expecting to be followed.

Is this DC 10 or 13? It was listed as 10 previously.
Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Lubella breathed through her mouth so as not to be overwhelmed by the stench of the gas. She winced as another fey pinched her with its evil pliers. You'll pay for that! She stepped into a spin and lashed out at her assailant.

I'm not sure that the crit really makes any difference; a regular hit may suffice just as well. :)

GM Aarvid |

Yep, sorry DC10. 13 was from poison or something else.
Lubella avoids inhaling the toxic gas and follows up with a backhand swing to slash at the remaining purple, which she also cuts in two and it likewise explodes into a cloud of gas.

Aldren Halfblood |

”By Calistria’s honeyed pot, I hate these things!” Aldren curses as the fey whip around and come back after them. He takes a step back, then holds his holy symbol aloft while commanding one of the beasties to attack one of its kin.
Murderous Command. Works on 1 living creature for one round. Will Save DC 15
Cant edit slide on phone. Will be taking a 5’ step south towards Lubella so I can heal her next round. (Thankfully she’s got a lot of hit points.)

Talvek Drassed |

The flying creatures with their wicked pliers were more than a nuisance. Were these what had killed the other tieflings? Do they yank teeth out of their victims' heads as trophies. Strange - most hunters wait until the prey is dead before taking such. Talvek pulls the string back on his bow, hoping for a better shot this time.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 1 = 22 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Lubella Heathertoes |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Sickened for: 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds
When the second one exploded, Lubella wasn't as well prepared; she caught a whiff of the foul stench, making her gag.

GM Aarvid |

Lubella retches, spitting bile and blood on the ground
Aldren casts a spell on the nearest red fey. The fairy looks at his orange buddy and attacks with pliers.

Julessa does no better with her crossbow, but at least her assailant is occupied.
Arcos misses with another bolt.

Lubella didn't feel any sicker than she already did.

GM Aarvid |

Red explodes in a sparkly cloud of smelly gas, leaving the orange tinted fairy surrounded by your team.

Lubella Heathertoes |

Heal: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

GM Aarvid |

Talvek Drassed |

Not only were these creatures very difficult to hit, what with their small size and the constant bobbing and erratic flight, but when one *did* hit them it didn't seem to have any effect? Feeling quite put upon, Talvek aims his bow at the surviving fey, gritting his teeth. At least he still had all of his, unlike the poor halfling. He hopes that the priestess of Milani has some restorative magic at her fingertips to help restore the beauty of the halfling's smile.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 1 = 14 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Aldren Halfblood |

Aldren casts a quick glance at Lubella and determines she's not on death's door (yet) so instead drops his crossbow, draws a dagger, and lunges at the last fey. "Just DIE already!"
Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 Dmg: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

GM Aarvid |

And with a couple misses by friends, Aldren's dagger cuts through the last of the fey, dropping it and a plume of glitter and stench ensues
Out of combat. That's all I can post tonight - long day driving but arrived .

Lubella Heathertoes |

When the last murderous fey had been vanquished, Lubella cast a spell to heal herself, and started looking for her lost teeth. "They've got to be around here somewhere; I could have sworn I saw them drop!"
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 At least the bleeding stopped!

Talvek Drassed |

Talvek sprints back to retrieve his rapier, which he then uses to poke at the debris on the street, searching for small teeth.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

GM Aarvid |

Talvek is able to find the small teeth among the cobblestones in this ally. He hands them to Lubella and with the magical healing administered, the teeth reattach, albeit still sore.
charisma restored to original
Peering into the hole in the wall they fey defended, Lubella can see a tight chamber. The opening is too small for the big folk without alot of squeezing (escape DC20), but she thinks she can fit.
An investigation of the
tooth fairies’ den reveals a chamber
slowly being decorated with teeth of all
sorts; in time, the tooth fairies hope to
wallpaper the entire area with teeth,
but for now only a few disturbing
patterns decorate the walls. In
the center of one of these is a
gold tooth worth 250 gp.
A more interesting find than
the gold tooth lies in the far side of
the area, where the broken, toothless body of
a young tiefling child has been set in a place of reverence
in a niche in the wall. The child’s body has been tightly
wrapped with thick preserved sinews, its wrists and
ankles shattered and bound with cold iron chains. All
but one of its teeth have been knocked from its jaws. An
examination of the grisly find reveals dozens of phrases
have been inscribed in Aklo in very fine writing along the
sinews.
It is still very early in the morning, with a few hours before dawn.

Lubella Heathertoes |

"Talvek, thank you!", Lubella cried, overjoyed at the return of her missing chompers. She carefully washed them and put them back in place, casting another spell.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 Spells remaining: 0/3
Lubella flashed the others a big smile to show off her complete set of teeth. She went over to inspect the hole that the evil fairies had been about to squeeze through. "I'm going to go in and take a look."
Escape Artist, taking 10: 10 + 6 = 16
Once inside, she tried to discern if there was any religious significance to the chamber's decorations.
Knowledge Religion, taking 10: 10 + 5 = 15
She cast a spell and looked around carefully. Casting Detect Magic.
Perception, taking 20: 20 + 6 = 26 Assuming that the chamber isn't very big.
She also examined the script to see if she could make anything of it.
Linguistics, taking 10: 10 + 5 = 15
After a few minutes, she returned to the big folk. "There's a fairly well preserved child's body in there," she reported. "I think we should report the find to the locals, before we disturb anything. I imagine we'll want to eventually remove the body for proper funerary rites."
Lubella yawned. I should have brought my bedroll with me! "Any idea about the patrols in this area? Do you think it's feasible to return to the Owl Bakery, or should we make do here and camp out?"
Trying to not to keep everyone else waiting with back and forth inside the chamber.

Aldren Halfblood |

While Lubella goes to explore the feys' hidey hole, Aldren calls to Calistria to heal the group's linger wounds.
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 4
A pulse of positive energy radiates from the half-elf, healing wounds while warming and tickling in places not discussed in polite company. Thank you, Mistress, he offers silent thanks afterwards. He then goes to collect any dropped weapons, returns them to the others, and waits for Lubella to return.
When she comes back with news of a dead yet preserved child, his jaw clenches. It felt wrong. To have killed the fey was one thing. To discover the body of a child after having killed them felt to have been perversely robbed of the opportunity to avenge the little one. "Was there any sign of anyone else being involved? Why would they preserve the body?"
Aldren likewise searches his memory and teachings for anything that might help, though he knows little of the fey.
Knowledge (Religion, Planes or History): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
I'm not sure how, but I could also try to aid another on the linguistics check, but that might require direct observation.

GM Aarvid |

Linguistics help will require direct observation by those trained to assist.
Lubella is able to search the small chamber top to bottom and finds nothing additional to report.
Aldren is able to heal the group with a burst of positive energy.
All dropped weapons are secured and and the bodies of the fey have all gone up in smoke (or glitter and stench)
Patrols are not known in this part of the Nursery, so you do not expect to see any dottari the rest of the night. Deciding where to finish the evening and early morning as well as what to do with the grizzly remains are two key questions to decide.

Lubella Heathertoes |

Lubella replied to Aldren, "I didn't see any obvious sign that anyone other than the fey were involved. In the morning, I'd like to track down the dead tiefling child's next of kin; they deserve to know that their loved one has been found.
"It seems to me that the child's relatives would be the best ones to decide what to do with the body. What do you think, Talvek? You know the local customs far better than I ever would."

Talvek Drassed |

"A child? What vileness! And yes, trying to find their family would be the best thing to do." Talvek replies, barely contained anger in his voice. As he notices the signs of exhaustion in the others, he offers. "For now, we can drop by my place and rest a little, have some breakfast. I'm sure that my mothers will be happy to meet you all."
