I'm actually surprised, considering the relative anonymity of the boards, I didn't expect them to mean so much. So also allow me to extend a heartfelt apology to the times I didn't comment on other troubles you have shared, because I was afraid they might sound hollow.
Amen to that. I have also found the thoughts and prayers of the folks on these boards are surprisingly important to me. It's an interesting phenomenon, this anonymous universe we have chosen to build for ourselves and each other.

It's contact, and we're human. We may not know each other in the traditional sense of the phrase, but I don't think that has any impact of the sincerity of our emotions when we have shared them, or our ability to recognize that sincerity when it is offered. I really wish there was a teamwork feat that people would take besides Precise Strike. It's either a little too good, or the other feats are just a bit too underpowered, as it's the only teamwork feat I've ever seen people take consistently. *shrug*

Are xp granted to all party members? I was thinking they were, but don't want to get greedy for xp I did nothing to earn. Unless that was the DM's intent.
OK, no more searching for this paladin. It's rather fruitless with my +1. We'd be better served winning us friends and influencing people.
For this section, XP is going to be individual - I'll be fairly clear whether the XP is "for all of you" or just for "you" as we go along. The only group XP earned so far has been for making friends and for beating up the sailors during this morning's battle. In most cases, however, XP that is individual can be earned by each of you in turn - i.e., the XP Artevious got for getting his stuff back will be earned by the rest of you once you do the same. If you need me to, I can go back through the thread and give you individual XP totals so far.
I think I'm missing some of the "helpful-making" xp, but otherwise, I should be OK. I haven't been adding what sounded individual because I thought that might be the case.
Just a note to point out that there have been a few small updates to the campaign info page, crew-wise.
I will have sporadic access starting tomorrow (8/15) until next Monday (8/20) as I will be at GenCon Indy. I'll try to check in, but my schedule will be very busy, so I'm not sure how well that will work.

The gift horse in question was a ticket to a Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Magic. We had several days at sea and stopped at Montego Bay (Jamaica), Georgetown (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands), and Cozumel (Mexico). We got to snorkel out to a shipwreck and hike to (and climb up!) a Mayan pyramid.
I know some of you are much more traveled than I am, so this might not sound like a big deal for you, but this was an absolutely amazing experience for someone that had never even been to the seashore. It's going to be very hard to return to reality...
As someone who rarely leaves the Midwest, and has never left the country, it's safe to say I am less well-travelled than you. Sounds like an amazing experience - hopefully, I'll be able to take a cruise one day myself!

Following swiftly on the heels of Chum's recent voyage, my scribe and ghost writer, who assists me on chronicling the deeds and derring-do of yours truly, will also be taking a short leave for travels to sunnier climes. I anticipate my actions will resume in earnest in a week's time, so in the interim, please know that I shall continue to support the Wormwood and her crew wherever they may sail.

It looks like that bit of XP has tipped me over the 2,000 mark. We're doing the medium progression, right?
I don't know if everyone's at the same amount as I am. I may be a little ahead because of my entertainment XP.
Let me know when you'd like for me to start with leveling up my character.
The mod does award differing amounts of XP to different characters, and yes I believe that Art is placed the highest. The difference is likely to be small enough to disappear as a practical matter even by the time we start approaching level 3, but for now, there will be different instances of leveling for different characters.
You can go ahead and start leveling up now if you like.
I went back and double-checked everyone else's XP total, and the rest of you should all be at 1950, just about ready to level yourselves. (Ainvar, it looks like your math is slightly off and you also missed the XP you got for making Cut-Throat Grok helpful.)
That's why I list the details like that, thanks for the check. I've found more than once that I added a reward and forgot to adjust the total - probably did that again.
And I was slightly off...by about a thousand XP.
So yes, you can all level up now. If you have any questions, let me know.
EDIT: and I'll answer one now that I should have already done: use half-hit-die-plus-1 for your hit points at the new level. So (assuming everyone sticks with their current class), Artevious and Eleuterio get 6+Con mod and Evril and Chum get 5+Con mod.
If video games have taught me anything, my elven heritage should mean that I can just walk up the line while shooting my bow and possibly carrying a dwarf.
Or at least while talking smack to a dwarf about how many foes you've killed. Wait, that wasn't a video game.
