Tristan pulls open the door, revealing a large room dominated by a broad wooden table, surrounded by several rickety-looking chairs. A slateboard to the north is covered with chalk scribblings, but the map of Sandpoint carefully drawn on it leaves no doubt as to the purpose of this room - it is almost certainly where the recent raid on the town was planned. A set of stairs leads back up to the stoackade on the east side of the room, and another door opens into a smaller chamber on the far side.
Two people are in this room as well, pressed against the far wall near the other exit. One is a large man, armed and armored, with the look of a fighting man in every inch of him; he carries a steel shield (disturbingly molded with a massive human face glowered off of it) and a well-made bastard sword, and his breastplate gleams with care. The other is a dark-skinned woman, her hair in dozens of short, tight braids, wearing basic robes and holding a wand in one hand, while a black cat twines around her feet.
Orik's initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Lyrie's initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Lamsfel, Shalelu and Tybus can take their actions now.
Map is updated. Note that the table will restrict movement in this room - only one person at a time will probably be able to reach melee range with either foe without either spending a lot of movement to circle around the table or making an Acrobatics check to jump up on it.

Keeping a solid, double-grip on the katana and adding his own arcane energies to it (swift action: arcane strike ), Tybus steps into the room and around the table as best he can to let others in.
Lyrie and Orik. The mercenaries. Look, ye're in a bit o' trouble right now. Yer ship's taking on water, but ye don't have to go down with her. Me and me mates, we captured Tsuto. Took down the chief, Bruthazmus, and I don't know how many goblins. Walk away, and ye can keep what ye've been paid. We may be able to toss something in for the cause. But Nualia's going down. Don't try to stop us.
Intimate or Diplomacy; either one's the same.1d20 ⇒ 4
And if me words don't work, ready action to attack whoever gets within reach.
Edit: And they probably won't ...

Lamsfel |

Lamsfel comes in, circling the table to the other side from Tybus.
"He speaks the truth. We have no quarrel with you. Go, and be done with this place. Or join us and help us take her down. Either way, it's your choice. Just don't stand in our way."
Diplomacy 1d20 ⇒ 3
Sense Motive (trying to judge their reaction) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Shalelu, hearing the others speaking, moves forward and into the room. She waits, arrow nocked and ready to fire but pointed downward. Waiting for their decisions.

[b] There is no sense reasoning with creatures such as these--they only understand one thing. Taking money to throw in your lot with goblins? You are despicable--suffer the fate that you have brought down upon yourselves! [b]
The witch points a finger at the scowling mage and fires a black ray of energy straight at her heart!
Ray of Sickening Touch attack, I believe vs Flat-footed 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

DM Shisumo |

Tybus: your readied action doesn't really work, because the room isn't big enough for you to not have them both in reach already if you stepped into it from the doorway. I'm going to just translate that into a delay action instead.
Lyrie's Fort save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Even as the energy blasts her, the woman mutters an arcane phrase and extends her empty hand toward the group. Concentration check to cast defensively: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24. From her spell, a wave of flame rolls over the group. Everyone except Lamsfel takes 2d4 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 damage, Ref save DC 15 for half. She then ducks past the swordsman and into the room behind him. Tybus gets an AoO from the move.
As soon as the woman moves, the swordsman steps directly in front of the doorway and slashes at Tybus. That's flavor text; he's not really moving, since that's where he was all along. Bastard sword attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8, 1d1d10 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11.
Go ahead and tear them up now. Everyone gets an action, but unless Tybus manages to kill Lyrie with his AoO, remember she's behind Orik in the next room, so she's got cover and is basically unreachable for melee.

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Tybus wheels and spins away from the worst of the surprise gout of flame. The enchanted blade flashes with a quick and smooth motion. As deadly as it is beautiful, it seems to guide Tybus's hands and body as he pivots from the stroke against the wizard and ducks a vicious swing from the sellsword.
He plants his feet, squares his body, and slashes at the warrior.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Confirmation roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Extra Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Lamsfel |

Shalelu Reflex save 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 Three points of damage for the ranger - I presume you are tracking damage for her, Shisumo.
Halgor Reflex save 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 1 + 3 = 22 includes racial bonus to saves vs spells Three points of damage for the cleric - I have added a section for his stats to Lamsfel's page, so I will track his damage there.
Heh, I totally misunderstood where everyone was in the room. I thought they were by the door to the stairs. Guess it worked out for me, though.
Shalelu steps away from the entry and brings her bow up, but does not fire at the swordsman. Readying an action to fire at the mage if she comes into view.
Lamsfel attacks the mercenary's flank with both blades.
Attack (primary) 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Attack (secondary) 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Blech!

DM Shisumo |

...Damn. Nice shot with the AoO.
Tybus' attack cuts down the mage before she takes a step, and the swordsman roars in pain and anger, even moreso than when Tybus' follow-up manages to cut into his shoulder. Lamsfel's attacks are less effective, however, as the mercenary easily blocks them both with his shield.
Shalelu can do something else now, and Halgor, Tristan and Gan all have actions available. The mercenary is in the southwest corner of the room, and together Lamsfel, Tybus and the table have blocked melee access to him unless someone climbs on the table.

DM Shisumo |

Burning hands doesn't have a chance to set people on fire - it comes and goes too quickly. (Only spells that actually say they have a chance to set the targets on fire can actually do so.) On the other hand, there were some papers on the table - those are on fire now, albeit not in enough quantity to seriously threaten someone standing on the table...
Orik's Will save against the evil eye: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17.

Lamsfel |

Shalelu draws a bead on the warrior. Judging from his reaction, there's something there. "If she's not dead yet, we might be able to save her, but if we have to fight you first, she's liable to bleed out right here. Surrender!"
She delays to see his reaction. If he seems to consider the offer or drops his weapon, she won't shoot. If he continues his aggression, she will unload on him.
Rapid Shot #1 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Rapid Shot #2 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Hmm, somewhat less effective than I'd hoped...

DM Shisumo |

Tristan leaps onto the table, stamping out the small fires that have flared up and leveling his greatsword at the mercenary at the same time.
The implied threat and Shalelu's offer both seem to have little effect, as the mercenary takes another furious swing at Tybus. Even as he begins the attack, though, Shalelu bares her teeth in either anger or frustration and lets fly an arrow because you can't ready full attacks that creases the swordsman's brow as he swings. Bastard sword attack on Tybus: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22, damage 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11.

Lamsfel |

And Shalelu lets fly with two more arrows.
Rapid Shot #1 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Rapid Shot #2 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Hmm... Separate posts for separate actions seems worse than a wall of text to describe the different actions. What do you think?

Lamsfel |

The mage is unconscious. Tybus dropped her with the AoO.
Halgor will likewize stabilize the fighter and the mage. "They'll be paying fer their crimes, I think." Once they are tied up, he will channel healing on the group and the captives.
Lamsfel will search the fighter and deprive him of his gear. He looks at the mage and hesitates. "Shalelu, could you check her for gear? I, ah, think it would be better if you did that."
The smirking ranger searches the woman, none to gently, and places her gear on the table before looking around for a rope to use to tie her up. She looks at the other elf and bursts out laughing, "Didn't know you were the blushing type, Lamsfel. It's kind of cute."
Now blushing furiously, Lamsfel goes to check the other room where the mage was fleeing for anything of use. Halgor and Shalelu will investigate the papers on the table if no one else does so.

DM Shisumo |

Gear found on the captives: potion bottle, masterwork bastard sword, breastplate, masterwork heavy steel shield, shortbow and 20 arrows , 3 platinum pieces and 7 gold pieces (on him); potion bottle, three scrolls, wand, dagger, spellbook, silver comb, fine silk gown (rather messed up what with all the blood on it), set of handkerchiefs folded up around an odd collection of artifacts - mostly hair and nail clippings, but also a set of pearl earrings - and 3 platinum pieces (on her).
The documents appear to be more detailed plans for a larger raid on Sandpoint, one planned for the next few months and involving goblin tribes from all across Varisia, plus a variety of summoned demonic horrors.
The next room appears to be a study, laboratory, library or some combination of the three. A large wooden worktable sits in the middle of this room, its surface cluttered with scrolls, books, stone tablets covered with dense, spiky runes, and fragments of carvings that appear to have been chipped off of statues or bas-reliefs. To the north, a floor-to-ceiling set of wooden shelves sag with picks, shovels, brushes, lanterns, and other equipment one might expect to see at an archeological site. It is not clear what was being researched here, except possibly something having to do with the ancient history of the Lost Coast area.
Would someone care to roll for Halgor's channeled energy? And where to next?

Tybus Elhezen |

Halgor's channel (so I can hopefully wake up): 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
Tybus groans and sits up. Ow... I think I need me some stiffer armor. I suppose I'm not likely to drown in these parts for wearing it.
After another round of thanks to Halgor, Tybus'll detect magic on the equipment taken from the captives. He'll be especially interested in the wand, scrolls, and spellbook. (Though I'll save the spellbook for later, I suppose.)
Spellcraft:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

DM Shisumo |

Both potions are cure light wounds, and Tybus recognizes two of the scrolls as scrolls of mirror image and vanish respectively (though he's only able to puzzle out the writing on the mirror image scroll well enough to be able to use it - deciphering the vanish scroll and reading the third, as-yet-unknown one would require a casting of read magic). The wand, unfortunately, remains a mystery.
