Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro helped Antonio, although she was muttering something about magic the whole time, apparently somewhat distracted and focused on a new idea she'd come up with. That... usually did manage to distract her, as it happened - surprising nobody.
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro made no move to execute the caster - for one thing, she wasn't good at stuff like that. For two, she wasn't really big on killing if it seemed possible to avoid it, although it WAS occasionally a necessity. Better to make friends than enemies, though, right?
Antonio Nedraid
Antonio will spend another three round chasing the little dragonling. If he can't catch him by then, he'll go back to the caster and make sure he's well bound, gagged and blindfolded.
He has things to tell us...
Reiko Arashi
Reiko looks down at his captive as the massive elf finally shrinks back down to his normal size. He helps bind the old man, and shakes his head grimly.
He won't make this easy. I'm not one to usually suggest it, at least not now, but perhaps this will require a.... hostile interrogation. Pain has a way of making people talk...
Antonio Nedraid
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Grimacing at the pain, Antonio suddenly looks over at the side door and starts waiving a warning at his companions.
He quickly conceals himself behind a plush chair.
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Nia'Nikta
Nia would move her lights over to where the candle on the table was, and slides into the darkness since Antonio is hiding. Finding something to hide behind but give her good range to do something about it. Drawing her bow just in case.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro wasted exactly no time whatsoever in darting over to the safest, best-concealed location she could find. Despite her growing power, she had exactly no business up on the front lines, and was all too willing to let tougher people run interference as she helped from behind.
Reiko Arashi
Reiko grabs the limo old man by the collar and strides toward the entrance where the noises are coming from. He lets his blade shine crimson light over the scene, and he waits patiently for someone to enter. When they do, he smirks.
I have your old man. He was rather pathetic. I suggest you go ahead and give up.

Reiko arrives in front of the door just as it slowly opens. A group of three robed and hooded figures stand beyond it, illuminated mostly from behind, as the one in back holds up a lantern.
Elekhir?
The figure looks at him, then at Reiko, face hidden in the shadows. The voice is younger, but strong.
We are NOT ALONE! You would do best to surrender!
Reiko Arashi
That's what your friends said earlier. They're dead now. Do you want to follow suit?
I was giving everyone else a chance to act.
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro whirled around, energy already crackling on her fingertips as she prepared to confront these newcomers.
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
With a shrug, Sakuro whipped her arm through the air and hurled a splatter of Grease at the new group, trying to knock their legs out from under them and give the rest of her friends a chance to... er... do whatever it was they wanted to do.
Cast Grease, Reflex DC 16 to avoid falling. Aiming to get as many as possible, starting from the front.
Reiko Arashi
Reiko uses one of the arcane scars on his arm and casts burning hands at them, trying to catch them all in the blaze as they are bunched up at the door.
Burning Hands Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 3) = 7
Antonio Nedraid
Deciding that nobody was letting the enemy in so he could ambush them from behind, Antonio popped out from behind the plush chair to fire off his crossbow against the first one he didn't recognize.
light crossbow attack vs FF AC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 for a possible 1d8 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + (3, 5) = 10 piercing and precision damage.
He then dropped the crossbow to unsheath his rapier.
Reiko Arashi
Antonio, you still receive sneak attack due to the fact that they haven't acted yet this combat.

One manages to avoid the worst of the flames, while the other two catch fire in the face. The last one on his feet crumples in pain.
Forget it! I surrender! One that hadn't spoken throws her hands up in supplication, looking aghast at her once bold ally, now bleeding out on the floor.
The other scrambles, trying to get to his feet and out of the area of the suddenly slick floor:
Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
...he fails miserably.
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro didn't go running over to grab people. That, uh, wasn't in her area of expertise. She did, however, raise a hand and let a few sparks of magic glimmer on it. "Good plan." she told the one who'd spoken. "We're much nicer to people who aren't trying to threaten us." Fortunately, her grease wasn't flammable, or there would have been a lot more screaming... and she'd have had nightmares for weeks.

Even over the yowling of burning people, voices can be faintly heard in the distance -
What's that? A feminine voice can be heard. Come with me.
Yes, mistress.
...footsteps, heading your way.
Help us! The guy tries scrambling again -
Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
...but he seems utterly inept.
Moments later, the sound of spells being cast begins.
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro, for her part, simply hid as best she could behind the most covering object available. She had no intention of being an obvious target for any spellcasting someone was doing, and if it was taking this long to chant, it probably wasn't going to be fun...

Out in the hallway, avoiding not only the grease, but nimbly avoiding the one still trying to scramble to his feet, Antonio can see a tall, feminine figure in a cloak leading four others - these are dressed like the ones you've just been dealing with.
Something about her seems quite imposing, though she's not built large. The others show a definite deference to her.
Off in the distance, light spills from an open door.
I don't know who you are, but you're resourceful if you've made it this far. Do we have to kill each other, or shall we reach an agreement?
She watches for any response cooly, fingers still glittering with magic recently cast, and eyes half open, but watchful.
Nia, you'll have to leave the room to see her, as the hall they're in runs along the wall instead of just straight out. I'm assuming your lights are adding to the illumination, though.
Reiko Arashi
Reiko rolls his neck, cracking it, and then raises his katana into a defensive (but ready to strike at any moment) position. His crimson eyes catch the glow from his still enchanted blade as he stares at the woman cooley.
Since you actually seem willing to talk, why don't you tell us who you are and what you're doing here?
One of the scars on his back begins to glow, as if the elf is getting ready to cast it should he need to.
Antonio Nedraid
Antonio immediately assumed an en-guard position, his sword pointed in the newcomers direction. Grinning, he swished his sword through the air rapidly. It sang for him.
"Well now; an agreement is much preferred over death. But first, what did you have in mind?" Inquired Antonio, alert to betrayal.

Have your compatriots come out into the hall, and we'll parley. All of your compatriots.
She takes a step back, signaling to those with her to stand back. They comply.
Nia'Nikta
Nia'Nickta would look at the grease. She isn't the most graceful person and looks at the woman that had surrendered to them and the man training her bow on them. Moving to the door enough to see if the hallway went both ways or merely one.
"Make sure to check behind you so you don't get surrounded." She said softly as she split the dancing lights to either side to illuminate the area. "Plus, it is unwise to line up where her magic can hit us." She points out.
Looking at the woman in front of her.

Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro looked a bit hesitant to move forward - she didn't want to get anywhere near something dangerous, after all. More to the point, did they actually know she was there? She HAD gone into hiding...
Antonio Nedraid
Antonio's point was unmoving, aimed directly at the woman's face.
"They can all hear you perfectly fine where they are.
"Now. Do you have something to say or not?" He said flatly.
Reiko Arashi
Reiko sighs.
Given recent events then, I'm assuming you aren't the nice kind of coven that sings to the moon and trees and all, eh?

Antonio Nedraid
"Wait!" Shouted Antonio.
"Seriously now. What is the point? Those things just rumble through the area eating everything and fouling the landscape! You keep doing this and NO one is going to have anything to eat! And THAT would include YOU.
"So... Why?" Asked Antonio seriously.

She hesitates for a moment - Look at her initiative!
Power. There are things you couldn't imagine - powers you'd never dream of. I've seen just the least of it, and - it's amazing. Mesmerizing. Cawthorn swims in it, and he's nothing compared to the true masters. They - they aren't human - or mortal!
With that, she breaks out of her reverie. Her coven follows every word as if she was an evangelist - rapt.
Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist
Sakuro - who thought she might've been unnoticed still - didn't stand up or talk. It was best to stay down for now, right? Right. Fortunately, the woman didn't seem all that quick (*cough cough*), but...
