Shards of the Titanswar

Game Master EldonG

The ruined monastery is exactly one of those places parents warn their children about. I wonder why...

Sakuro was not very good in melee and had no intention of expending all of her ammo here. With a shrug, she darted into the best hiding spot within range and crouched down, trying to remain hidden and out of the way.

Total Defense. Don't think there's anything better to do. XD

Liberty's Edge

Antonio steps up to the warrior and thrusts a good two and a half feet of steel out his back, leaving the warrior collapsing in a pool of his own blood. Unfortunately, as large as he is at this point, he rather has to squeeze to simply stay on the walkway! He's hard to get around.

The flow of cultists come to a momentary halt, sizing up Antonio, and letting the other warrior move up -

Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

...who promptly faceplants in the grease.

Apparently, they aren't good dancers. :P

Nia does make it up over the rail, but there really aren't any good targets for her whip, at the moment. All of the cultists in the immediate area are dead or dying, and a couple have backed away from Antonio.

Anybody that takes a count will find that there are only five cultists, one warrior, and the two casters left.

Lightning: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5) = 16
Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Nia'Nikta thought about it and would put her whip back on her hip and pulls out her shortbow. It was time she started taking out targets at ranged.

Sakuro continued to hunker down and try to stay out of the way of things. One day she'd have a nigh-endless amount of magic to call upon, but today was not that day.

Continuing her total defense.

Liberty's Edge

Antonio falls forward -

Ugh! Hey! What the???

The voice is from under Antonio's large body, rather muffled, but accompanied by groans of pain.

Incidentally, though the feint failed, the warrior was down, and temporarily denied Dex. He's pretty seriously hurt.

The cultists look stunned. They were pretty sure they had the advantage.

Kill them, you fools! The other adept talks big, but takes a step back.

Nala moves into a defensive stance, like Sakuro. Trapped as she is behind the considerable bulk of her companion and the grease, she doesn't have any options short of diving into the water.

Sakuro... continued to defend, as it happened. There was nothing else she really could do at this moment, not if she wanted to save any magic at all for later.

Basically, defending until further notice. XD

HP 17/28 AC15 Nia'Nikta

Nia'Nikta would draw an arrow and aims for the other spellcaster.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

But they slipped off the string and the arrow plopped into the water.

Liberty's Edge

As Antonio climbs to his feet, he sees the crumpled body of the other warrior lying there, under where he was. He's not moving.

A cultist advances nervously, another at his back - he draws an AoO, as Antonio now has ten feet of reach.

Male Human Rogue (Unchained, Swashbuckler) L2 | AC19 (T14F15) CMD16 | HP 17/17 | Saves F1R7W-2 | Percep +2 | Init: +4 | Status: OK

Reiko turns back to the fray, the magical fear finally having worn off, only to see the massive shape of Antonio in the way. An exasperated look crosses his face for a moment, before he starts stalking back toward the enemies, his left hand beginning the shapes of a spell.
Readying an action to attack the first one to get around Antonio with a shocking grasp spell.

You have picked the wrong place to practice your dark magics, men. I will use that same dark power to destroy you.

As he speaks, his eyes begin to take on the crimson hue they do when he is exposed to Titan magic, usually right before he loses control and slaughters everything.

"There's still something in the water!" Sakuro called out from where she was bunkering down. It would... probably be best to avoid going for a swim here, no matter how confident you were in your abilities.

Liberty's Edge

Antonio has slipped around, and ultimately crawled beyond the grease - Reiko can move around Antonio if he wants to use an open door to pass him, if he can only make it through the grease with one try.

Nala watches the creature slip through the waves, and tries to determine what she can recall about it.

Liberty's Edge

Nala:
He's a big one, but they grow that big naturally. Things tend to grow very large around here, due to some magical property of the area, but if it's affected the fish, you can't tell. If it hangs around here, they've likely been feeding it - and it's naturally pretty aggressive. It's hard to say what that might mean, of course.

Liberty's Edge

Springing to his feet, Antonio skewers another of the fewer and fewer cultists - and they look even less prone to fight, at this point. Blood spatters paint a fair bit of the walkway in this area, which has become littered with bodies, making a place that was eerie in the beginning positively ghoulish.

Nia'Nikta would lift her bow knotching another arrow on the string as she again aimed for the cultist adept.

"One day I'm gonna have enough magic to toss 'em all around..." Sakuro muttered under her breath as she continued to defend. As always, though, people could ask her for a specific spell she had available if they really wanted/needed it. She'd come out of hiding for that.

One dog is still barking from the corner.

"Oy!" Sakuro said, pointing to the cultists. Her meaning, she hoped, was clear - if the group wanted to stop them from leaving, now would be a good time, just to make sure they didn't come back later and cause more trouble Otherwise... er, they were probably fine, actually, since the enemy's morale had broken. Sakuro continued to cautiously guard, having exactly no inclination to go out where people could jab her with pointy objects. There... just wasn't anything else to do.

When we last left our heroes, there were a couple of the cultists fleeing in a boat, Antonio half submerged in water with a very large, vicious looking fish, Reiko on the walkway, and the ladies still in the riverboat with the little crew. The dogs are not putting up a fight, and are mostly hidden, and the only way to engage the escaping cultists will involve range.

I'll be waiting for responses in the discussion thread before continuing.

If the boat is out of reach or the fishies start nibbling, he will exit the water at speed.
