Amren Slyblade |

My lady, I developed my skills training with two half orcs who beat me senseless with the biggest weapons they could find, for ten years.
He laughs a but as he says:
Believe me, I can appreciate the value of big sticks and strong people swinging them!

Kast Phaer |

Kast continues to eat and prowl around the celebrations, saying hi to folks he knows and generally enjoying the day. By his count, this is the 15th or 16th such celebration he's been to...and each has been fun. But still each one is more similar than the last, each one reminds him of things he hasn't yet seen.
He spots Garridan, his 'nemesis' off talking. At first, Kast fears he is entertaining 'his' Marigold, and he feels great relief when the gregarious Varisian is just talking to a gnome and halfling.
That is good. Marigold might be alone...if I can only find her.

Lokien Forge |

Finishing off his meal and washing it down with a generous amount of ale, Lokien ambles off to seek any of the priests or someone who can share with him the history of the town but for some reason most avoid the dwarf.
Maybe it's the sight of him and his weapons?

As the day begins to come to an end, Father Zantus once again takes the stage and begins to speak. As he does so a sharp retort, like the crack of distant thunder, slices through the excited crowd as the sun's setting rays pain the western sky. A stray dog that has crawled under a nearby wagon to sleep starts to wake. and the buss of two dozen conversations quickly hushes as all heads turn toward the central podium, where a beaming Father Zantus has taken the stage. He clears his throat, takes a breath to speak, and suddenly a woman's scream slices through the air.
A few moments later, another scream rises, then another. Beyond them, a sudden surge of strange new voices rises, high pitched, tittering shrieks that sound not quite human, The crowd parts and something low to the ground races by giggling with disturbing glee as the stray dog gives a pained yelp and then collapses with a gurgle, its throat cut open from ear to ear. As blood pools around its head, the raucous sound of a stranger song begins, chanted from shrill, scratchy voices.
The Goblin Song: Goblins chew and goblins bite, Goblins cut and goblins fight. Stab the dog and cut the horse. Goblins eat and take by force! Goblins race and goblins jump. Goblins slash and goblins bump, burn the skin and mash the head. goblins here and you be dead. Chase the baby, catch the pup. Bonk the head to shut it up. Bones be cracked, flesh be stewed, we be goblins, you be food!

Lokien Forge |

Goblins! was his first thought.
Drawing his weapons, Lokien stalks forth looking for the little miscreants.

Is our place on the map our current placement? If not, then where do we start?

Lokien Forge |

Tokens are bottom left corner of the map.

Purrin |

"Dirty, stinking filth! Kill the Goblins!"
On his turn, Purrin will run at the nearest goblin. Activating Rage as he goes. I hope to have a clear enough line to charge one.
Charge Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 If he can't charge, it's -2 for 20.
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
In case one is close enough for a 5' step:
Normal Attack 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage 2: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
I'm in training today, but I will try to post when I can.

Amren Slyblade |

Please place Amren six squares up and three squares to the left of Purrin. He takes two move actions, drawing his daggers as he sprints.
Goblins! Fouls little creatures! Garridan, I bet I kill more than you!
To the others that were standing near him he calls out:
We have to end this quickly! These people are defenseless!

Kast Phaer |

Round 1, Init 12
Kast spins at the sound of trouble, worried that the orcish hordes had finally found their way to Sandpoint. He drops his precious curried salmon (he'll have to apologize to Ms. Fitzfunt later for soiling her petunias with curry), taking his longspear in two hands and moves toward the source of the noise/commotion.
At the end of his movement, he drops into his soldier's stance with knees bend, his longspear low, ready to greet the orcish hordes or battle ogres.
I moved Kast on the map up 40', double move.
AC: 14 (Dex -1, Scale +5)
HP: 13/13
Weapon: Longspear
Mood: Feeling the heady rush of first real combat

Helgarr |

Helgarr was still pondering the unusual request for bodily hair, when the screams pierced the celebrations, followed by some macabre attempt at singing - "Goblins..." - she muttered to herself - "Inside the town?!" - she was surprised at their courage, as goblins would not usually be so daunting.
Immediately springing into motion, the girl moves towards the center of the square, drawing her polearm, and looking for the source of all the commotion, trying to locate any of the wretched creatures she expects to find.
Moved Helgarr on the map - 5' shy of a double move.

An Angry Lokien Slams into a goblin with wielding a really large hammer!!!
Charge with Dwarven Long hammer, reach and AC -2. 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 = 142d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8

Garridan Teskarova |

Garridan looks around confused for a moment as the events begin to unfold. When he spots the goblins slashing the poor dog and trashing the celebration he quickly snatches his crossbow from his belt! He laughs at Amren's words. "We shall see, Amren!"
Rather than chase after the fleet footed halfling, Garridan decides to assist the gruff dwarf that charges the four goblin all alone. He moves forward, takes aim, and let's a bolt fly at the goblin atop the table! However his bolt goes wide and slams into the side of the table.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Amren Slyblade |

Round two actions. Please place Amren up four squares and two squares to the right.
Amren continues to sprint, skirting the outside of the tent and singing back to the goblins in their own language as he moves. Once he's in range, he lets fly a dagger at the nearest goblin by Purrin.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Falling as my daggers fly
You came here to kill and play
Now you'll learn that's not ok
You should have stayed at home instead,
Cause I be Amren, you be dead!

Lokien Forge |

Enraged at the goblins for disrupting such a festival, and the little blighter laughed at him too. Serves him right for laughing. Little blighter won't be laughing now after hammering that smirk into the ground.
Lifting that deadly hammer of his, Lokien proceeds to bash another, taking yet another step. With a hum as it lifts, Lokien brings it down atop the head of yet another.
Dwarven Long Hammer, Reach 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 162d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 5) + 4 = 10
Moved Amren.
"Laugh this off, you forsaken pests" He roars.

Purrin |

Purrin takes a 5' step.
"Goblins die for such disrespect!"
Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage 1: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Attack 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
"Slice 'em and Dice 'em!"

Kast Phaer |

Round 2, Init 12
Goblins? Goblins!? Where are the orges? Bugbears? Hobgoblins? No?
Kast swivels his head, looking for the hill giant he's sure is coming...but since that one is successfully hiding from his view, he instead moves to help out the big cat, charging to help.
Kast moves quickly to engage from behind Purrin.
1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8 to hit; (charge)
1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 damage.
I moved Kast on the map up to behind Purrin.
Kast's overanxious spear thrust goes wide.
Calm down, Kast. Focus. You need to be perfect.
AC: 14 - 2 (charge) = 12 (Dex -1, Scale +5)
HP: 13/13
Weapon: Longspear
Mood: Feeling the heady rush of first real combat

Helgarr |

I'm getting a tad confused regarding the order of actions, who has acted, who is acting and so forth, but in any case, and since I believe Helgarr cannot target any of the goblins in the southern group:
Round 2 - Init 12
Noticing several others converging on the northern group, and the dwarf facing off a group by himself (even though he seems to be doing just fine), she decides to head towards the southern group.
Helgarr moved on the map.

Garridan Teskarova |

Garridan takes a deep breath to help steady his shaking hands... he's never been in combat before. Once he is able to center himself a bit better, the Varisian draws another bolt and reloads his crossbow. He takes aim at another goblin... and fires!
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Okay then... well, on that note. I'm putting away the crossbow. My rolls have been suuuuucky.

Shalafi2412 |

Helgar, one of the goblins looks in your directions and begins to speak in Common telling you a joke How many elves does it take to change a lightbulb? What's a light bulb as she begins to howl in laughter and the goblins around her. Please make a Will save.

Lokien Forge |

"How many of her does it take to knock your lights out? I'm guessing one." Retorts Lokien.
A goblin with humor. Torag save me.

Helgarr |

Kast Phaer |

We're out of combat, right?
Kast spins on his good heel, looking for next wave of mounted hobgoblins he was sure were coming next. He looks right and left for any civilians who might need protection.
"Garridan, get out of here! Go home! It's too dangerous out here for civilians! And take your halfling and gnome with you!"
Kast limps back in his soldiers stance to cover Garridan's retreat.

Lokien Forge |

Lokien leans on his hammer as he whistles in appreciation at Helgar's response, watching her split the goblin in twain was an art by itself.
Seeing the goblins scatter, he jeers at them.
"How many does it take to scare you all of? Ha Ha Ha Ha Just her!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha."

Amren Slyblade |

Amren recovers his dagger, then looks for goblins.
Foul beasts! They won't go far, too much food and mayhem here. Stay alert!

Garridan Teskarova |

Garridan watches as a woman wielding a polearm strikes down one of the goblins with a single blow. His eyebrows rise in appreciation of her martial skills. He approaches her and the dwarf after the goblins scatter. "Well struck, milady! You too as well, sir dwarf." Before Garridan can say much more, his attention is suddenly diverted to a familiar voice from behind.
"Garridan, get out of here! Go home! It's too dangerous out here for civilians! And take your halfling and gnome with you!"
He turns towards Kast with a deadpan expression on his face. "I don't need you telling me what to do, Kast. Marigold isn't around for you to impress. And I must say that these "civilians" as you call them, did a fine job handling this nuisance." He waves a hand towards Lokien and Helgarr.

Amren Slyblade |

Amren wipes off his dagger on the tattered rags of a dead goblin as he speaks, and slowly slides it into a wrist sheath as he calls out to cast.
Civilian? Don't let my size fool you. I've made my living killing goblins before. Right now we need to make sure there aren't any other little hellions running around. It's amazing how much mayhem and murder such small, stupid, creatures can cause if they are left to their devices.
EDIT:Oh yeah, the dice roll. Lol
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Helgarr |

Lokien leans on his hammer as he whistles in appreciation at Helgar's response, watching her split the goblin in twain was an art by itself.
Seeing the goblins scatter, he jeers at them.
"How many does it take to scare you all of? Ha Ha Ha Ha Just her!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha."
Helgarr's face softens up a tad at the dwarf's jest - "Well fought Master Dwarf" - she offers in reply, looking around the square for other foes.
Garridan watches as a woman wielding a polearm strikes down one of the goblins with a single blow. His eyebrows rise in appreciation of her martial skills. He approaches her and the dwarf after the goblins scatter. "Well struck, milady! You too as well, sir dwarf."
The woman nods in appreciation of the offered compliment - "Thank you" - she retorts - "I was not expecting to find goblins within Sandpoint - these wretches seem to have developed some courage..." - her muscles are still tense as she grips the polearm firmly, senses alert to any other signs of danger.
"The halfling is right" - she speaks almost to herself - "We should make sure if no other areas in town were targeted"
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Garridan Teskarova |

Garridan smiles at Helgarr, but then furrows his eyebrows into a worried look at her next words. He hadn't thought of that little detail initially. "You bring up a very disturbing point, milady." His eyes widen when a thought strikes him. 'Mother!'
The sorcerer quickly reloads his crossbow. "Indeed! We mustn't wait anytime! Hurry!" He calls out towards the strange catfolk, Amren, Kast, and the eccentric gnome...

Kast Phaer |

He turns towards Kast with a deadpan expression on his face. "I don't need you telling me what to do, Kast. Marigold isn't around for you to impress. And I must say that these "civilians" as you call them, did a fine job handling this nuisance." He waves a hand towards Lokien and Helgarr.
Kast glowers at Garridan's use of Marigold Pottersmoot's name, but does look around to see the handiwork of the others.
"Yeah, that's good work. But I can't guarantee your safety as I make a sweep of the town. You're fine to go inside where it is safe," Kast says, trying to be protective of his nemesis classmate.
Soldiers protect.
Kast re-enters his soldier's stance and begins to hunt for a second wave of goblins and/or a looming horde of giants.
