Aric takes the newly acquired cap and dips in the blood of a fallen enemy. The cap's previous color takes on a crimson hue as the power flows through it. He then admires it for a moment before placing it upon his head. No one will trifle with him today.

As you gather them by the riegns you notice their bleeding mouths. They were kept in line with Triangle bits and other cruelties Grim. But as long as your gentle they come with you and are docile.

(Just google what a triangle bit is if you don't know. Them and sqaures are not. Ice for horses)

As Aric stands their with his bloody cap on power flow through his body changing him a bit from what he was. His hair goes white at the roots and his skin pales a bit.

Aric:
Whenever you dip the cap in an enemy you have drop you gain the benefits of a death knells spell execpt it stacks. And any temp hp goes to actually heal until your full. Note the creature must be no more than 3 cr below you. If you don't want to dip your cap that's fine the first time the second you must save and the third increases by one and so forth. When youhave dipped in 4 creatures a further change shall happen. Your cap also remains "fresh" one hour per hd of the victim during this time you get a +1 on all saves.

It is covered in blood and it is alive, and mixes magics in a way I would have said not possible an hour ago., and it made your hair change color. Dorvren says matter of factly

I had rolled Nature before - what exactly are they?

Winter Blessed Horses. They are the product of a several century old breeding experiment where boreal and fey steeds were bred with regular horse to make them more serviceable mounts in places like Irrisen. They are Dimly intelligent and don't mind carrying and pulling and things so long as they are treated well and fed well. They view it as working for their keep. Plus people protect them from wolves and such. They do not like to fight but will bear riders who treat them well into battle.

Currently they are in bad shape and bleeding slowly from several places. Thus are at 1/2 hp and are exhausted.

These are trained as warhorses of the heavy variety the differences are as follows +2 str, con resist cold 10 speed +20ft and ice step: this creature may walk across the surface of any snow or ice as if it were hard ground and may or may not leave tracks as it wishes.

Edited after I looked at some triangle bit pictures. No way I can see to alter one of those into a halter. But I'm NOT an animal guy, so . . ..

Thinking about how he would want something like that pulled off of his face, Grimgisli looks for buckles on the straps that go behind the head and tries to remove the bits in what should be the least painful method he can see. Once the three have been removed, he brings them to Dorvren.

The horse all follow Grim and nuzzle him happily. Think a really really smart dog. Like int 4 for these guys. They also smell the apples in his rations and attempt to open the flap of his pack.

Some armor, basic weapons. Anyone able to Appraise this gem? Dorvren takes the gear to the party inventory keeper.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Engineering to try to change the triangle bits to something that will not harm the horses. I suspect Dorvren will have to use his metal fists, putting them all in his hand and slamming them together to flatten them or something like that.

I will see what I can do. These things are similar to having a gear that slowly cuts into straps and chords. Idiotic.

A living body is similiar to a machine in many ways, and they should be taken care of as such. If you care to wake this one I have a rather unpleasant method of making sure they speak. I do not particularly enjoy using it, but I suspect these men would have slit our throats in the night without a second thought.
