Guessing that these guards were running dark based on the fact that their comms were offline, Killjoy decides to break for cover. He was no use sitting in the open like that. Once he's there, he draws his Savalette Guardian and takes aim at the guards.

3yeZ takes a step back, flicking his wrist to flip his monofilament whip at the guard.

I am aiming at a guard who is not in melee, if possible, otherwise I will aim at whichever guard I can hit. Reach 1, so they get a -1 on their defense dice pool. by "takes a step back" i mean movement, unless that is gonna garner an AoO (not sure how that works) so that I am attacking a guard while not adjacent to that guard.

Power hustles over and helps 3yeZ move the guards inside. He does a quick check over the guards' bodies and puts their stuff in his rucksack, mumbling, "We need to rob them, or, when they're discovered, people will wonder why they were attacked."

When the guards are inside and policed*, Power asks, "Does anyone have any restraints?"

Power then moves upstairs to police* and secure dwarven guard that was upstairs, saying, briefly, "a plan could be that, if there are just a few sentries, we should try talking. I can influence a positive effect in that regard."

The term "police" is used in the military to basically mean "loot", that is, to make a quick inventory, and then deal with that inventory, either to take or destroy. Since Power is pretty much broke, that will usually be more the former than the latter. ;-)

Adrik has a maglock passkey 5 that he can try, otherwise he can attempt to pick the lock, unless one of the guards happens to have the correct key!

Max will help look for a key, but he has a rank 6 autopicker as a backup as well as a magkey copier. He will pass out restraints to the ones searching the bodies and eye the window if no key is found.

we targeted the top guard through a window or something i assume. I have a grappling gun that i could use to pull myself up to that window and enter from there. I believe shots were fired through it, so it should be open but let me know if not. This is all of course only if we don't quickly find a key.

Max: Rick shot the top guard with a Stunbolt, and I cast a Control Action at him, but he dropped off the initiative roll. If he isn't unconscious, then I'm still controlling his actions. Aaaand since I've not been told that I'm controlling his actions, I'm guessing he's unc. =)

i see. Well we need to make sure that entering the door isnt gonna get us a face full of shotgun or something. And make sure any cameras are off. Since Killjoy is the one with the wiz tech knowledge, we were basically escorting him here to do some IT work. While he is doing that, we can discuss tactics if need be and get agreement on secure chat.

Getting passed the two decade old maglock is no problem, indeed you do see the dwarf security unconcsious at the top of the tower.

Placing the node is an extended hardware + logic test, 12 required successes, 10 minutes per roll.

Power quickly policies the dwarf, specifically looking for anything that would give his identification or, even, name.

After he finds (or does not find) the dwarf's identity, he grabs one of the AKs and says to the others, "I'll go downstairs and wave off anyone who might come by and check. Saints willing, we can leave this place without any further harsh feelings, or, even, noise. Just go and do...what you do and let us away with all speed."

Power will close the door, but will stand right behind it, ready to diplomatically engage any late-night callers.

I certainly wouldn't complain if someone else kept track of the loot! haha!

Max will drag the living bodies inside and restrain them, to include using bits of whatever is available to gag them, clothing to blindfold them, and regular plastic restraints for their hands and feet. He helps the others gather the loot, and when all that remains to do is for Killjoy to finish his task, he will wait downstairs, hidden from the angle of sight of any who would visit, ready to support Power should anyone resist his... powers.

As he works, he says "Hey guys, let's get secure comms up in an AR window so we can chat without enemies hearing us. Anyone have subvocals as well as a backup? We gotta get a solid comms plan or things'll go to s$$! fast. I'm sure you know of the latest SecChatSoft, if we wanna link up that way as a primary comm channel, it'll keep us on the same page."

Liam looks a little at the dead guard as he passes the body.
It wasn't that killing disturbed him, but it always left a bad taste in his mouth to kill people who were only doing their jobs.
For a moment he considered saying something, but it would only cause tension in the group.
Besides, THEY had started using lethal force, and they WERE guards, they knew the risks.
In the end, he decided he could probably live with it.

Besides, I did knock out the dwarf inside the tower, job well done.

Seeing Liam look at the guard he killed, 3yeZ says to Liam, "Shame for him. I was trying to stun 'em, then they started shouting about geeking folks and started the gunplay. He was lucky his death was pretty quick."

As if that reminded him of the fact, he pulled a small cord from his glove and plugged it into the wall for a few seconds to charge it back up.

Responding to Power, he says, "Yeah. Comms are important so we can plan without being heard by the enemy; plans always change after contact. Gotta be secure comms too, or they might have their own Killjoy hacking our s*@*. You can probably download it on the basic model, you might just get some lag. Doesn't require a lot of bandwidth so it shouldn't be game-over."

It is the control tower of the airport, though currently it is dark. The only thing that has any power to it is a matrix tranmission station.
Sorry I can't do more, there isn't anything printed, and I am fighting of a bug while helping my family who is also sick. It's the most wonderful time of year.

Unfortunately we are stalled until someone starts to make those Logic + Hardware tests in order to place the node.
