You guys, my mother in law passed away a few days ago in her sleep. I have two small girls and a wife struggling with the loss. I am trying to run the house and help with the estate. I haven't signed on for a few days and feel horrible for the disappearance. I hope you will accept my apologies.

Sorry I have been absent lately. I have had a couple of other projects I have been working on. I've been attempting to build up my freelance career and caught a few breaks and am getting to write some minor parts of some major 3pp works. I am attempting to catch up on what I missed. If it goes bad, we fight while the boat provides ranged cover.

Looks like my life is full of bad news. Until the 15th, I'm going to be busy moving the wife and myself back to the parents...our current housemates have become rather emotive in their desire for us to leave. They've never had to live with anyone else before, so I understand to a point. The stifling atmosphere is really hampering my creative juices anyway. So, until the 15th, I'm going to be in short supply, but I'll try to keep things moving.

Wow, that is terrible. Timing extra sucks given how much work there is at the start of a campaign. Mind if I ask which housing market your sick on? Canberra is not too bad at the moment, but I guess you don't want to move to Oz...

Vacia is in the Shudderwood, as I recall what Ivan said. We can't give away his land. Not only is it bad, under a feudal agreement even the Count or King has no power to do so - except possibly as confiscation for treason. Such confiscation is a worse punishment than execution.


The question is, does Merro consider Vacia a part of the Shudderwood as he understands it? As long as Vacia keeps up its end of things, it's not the Shudderwood.


Doc's take on these guys' lands is that their "lands" are the immediate vicinity. They're a pack, not an army, and as such shouldn't warrant a huge expanse.

At any rate, Doc isn't thinking in terms of titles or any of that - he's thinking in terms of us not getting killed right now. We can always rearrange our agreements later to suit our needs, but only if we're alive.

As for what power we have - well, we have none until we have it, right? I mean, the Palatines aren't going to recognize our power, but once we remove them, then who is going to stand in our way?

We can't give away anyone's land, because we have no power to enforce anything (and we're not giving away the Droht's land - just a few square miles near Ascanor).

Everything else is just empty promises until it isn't, and by that point a few villagers/werewolves aren't going to matter. They'll renegotiate or die.

Whoever does it, give Doc a chance to buff. With psychic spells being mental actions, shouldn't be too hard to slap up a protection from evil before the fight.
