Isnt the half value thing for when you pawn stuff off? Or are you just rolling with that as the standard.
Sorry, are we talking about different types of selling here? As far as I know, selling stuff gets you half the gp value forever and always. Perhaps I'm missing something.
If you're just questioning "why does everyone else charge 50gp for a scroll when I can only get 25gp?", my answer is that they work harder than you and forsake questing on weekends.

Don't all magic items have material cost equal to half their retail value? So how do you make a profit at all?
No big deal, I just wonder if I am missing something.
Anyway, I guess I should have 1400 gp. Hope I'm not stepping on Melaphi's toes being a tailor. I could come up with something else.
That's what I'm saying: PCs cannot profit from crafting magic items. I assume that's a balance issue written into the rules deliberately.
Now if you wanted to turn your Craft roll into actual mundane crafting (at 1/3 cost, as per crafting rules) and sell the product of that, you might be able to pull in more than your day job roll, but you also might not, and it all sounds very complicated and annoying, so probably just stick to the general day job rules.
Just waiting for you guys to finish crunching, roll your day jobs for two weeks (or craft, whatever), and tell me where you all want to go questing. I should mention that I keep the teams synchronized, so the villains are waiting on you as well. No pressure.

You can sell scrolls at full market price, if you invest in a store front, hire staff, and pay taxes. PC's dont get full market price for selling their wares for the same reason you and I wouldn't. No one pays full price to a guy selling scrolls out of his trench coat in an alley.

For use by you or your party, yes.
Finding the Finders' Keep is automatic, yes. But you do need to tell me around what time (hour of the day) and what day (Sat/Sun) you're heading there.
Also, everyone give me a T10 on Diplomacy(gather info).

I got an 18 on gather information using Knowledge (local). You can use either to gather info.
Alright, Saturday morning at the Keep is the current plan as I hear it. I'll need an hour of arrival for each character (you can all arrive together if you like, but you don't have to).

This is not a traditional gather information roll. That's why I was specific. It was more for "how many friends/contacts do you have, and how often do they bug you about random crap" than anything.

Some of you have heard that a band of heroes is rumored to have saved the City from an invading force of devil-worshipping cultists. Apparently they made quite an announcement about it. Several apparent witnesses corroborated the story.
As for the other adventurers...
Not sure if things are going to break out into a fight or not, but I was wondering with the ACG now out and widely in use, did anyone want to swap out similar classes (like cleric for warpriest, fighter for brawler, etc)? I'm asking both teams, and depending on response, I may allow some rejiggering. What do you guys think?

I'd say that's fine, as long as your current class is one of the parent classes to the ACG class you intend to switch to.

@Patricie Out of game, no offense meant by my last comment in the Rule the City thread. We've all been threatened, Ransaq wants to get outta there, and Patricie hasn't even yet been on a quest with us. It was a likely attitude for him to have.

@GM What's the progress on maps? Not having one's not so bad when fihting monsters, but when PC's fight other PC's, they should each be allowed to make every little tactical decision concerning them.
Well I'm not going to make a map of the entire City, that's for sure. If you goes do end up jumping into battle, I'll squeeze out a map.

Man, unless Garroth and Patricie roll great on initiative, we could be screwed here. If they all pounce on me here, I doubt I will live. I figure I stand about a 75% chance of stopping Sarcon, but the cleric will get an attack on me for sure. If I fail to stop Sarcon, it will likely kill me. And then there's the oracle. It seems like she thinks she might go before me. We tied and I have a higher modifier than her, which should mean I go before her, but maybe there's an ability that causes you to win initiative ties.
Now might be a good time for everyone to take another look at the "death" spoiler in campaign info.

Without a weapon already in hand, unless Sarcon has quick draw he doesn't get to attack with his weapon in the surprise round. He needs a move action to draw it (which would end his surprise round).
Or he can unarmed strike you for d3 + str non-lethal damage.
I mentioned that to him already. He hasn't answered yet though. No worries, we'll get it all sorted.

Ah, you are correct. I forgot, when you charge as a standard action you can only move your speed and you can not draw your weapon. Ba hahaha. He totally fumbled that one.

@GM Do the villains post as slow as we do? I doubt it, I woke up to 28 posts by them today.
The villains are much faster. They usually have to wait a few days for you guys to catch up. I think they're generating more immersion than the heroes team. Or maybe they just don't have jobs.

I honestly just been uncharacteristically bombed when I got home this week. Usually get in several post a day if there are replies.
No need to justify. I really only need a post a day most times. Sometimes more/sometimes less is fine. More would help keep up with the villains, but I'm realistic about it.
