"She's gonna get us killed." Konghruul jumps for the chain, landing mostly in the sea. He lets out a roar, and climbs the chain, making it almost to the top.
"Bugger." Asher watches as she climbs, and Konghruul jumps in the water after her.
One of the thugs steps up and tries to shove Meryndian off the boat, but she kicks him between the legs, and he drops to the ground hard.
The second thug grapples her from behind . A third thug punches her in the gut .
A cry goes up from the other thugs, and the one on the bow and the two on the poop deck draw their crossbows, while the final thug opens the cabin door.
Aliyah moves to the edge of the boat closest to the chain. "Meryndian!"
Taryk begins summoning a celestial eagle. .
Bexellock moves closer to Aliyah. "If I miss that jump, I will sink to the bottom."
A man storms on to the deck of the ship, a rapier in hand. "What the hell is going on here?"
Mendyrian struggles to get away . "This is Lavinia's ship! We're taking it back!" She breaks away from the thug and charges Soller .
The man slashes at Meryndian with his rapier , pivots on his heel and slashes her again .
Mendyrian crashes into him, slamming him against the bulk.
Kongrhuul climbs to the rail and hops over . He swings at the thug to his left , who dodges back.
The two thugs swing at Konghruul as he hops over the railing , . The right one lands a punch on Konghruul's arm .
Asher leaps from the dinghy, , grabs the chain and attempts to climb, but his boots slip on the wet wood. He dangles from the chain, his feet inches above the water .
The thug who punched Konghruul swings at him again , hitting Konghruul on the arm again. The other attempts to grapple him , but Konghruul shrugs him off.
As Asher dangles, Aliyah reaches out helplessly. Asher, they need us! Go!
Taryk finishes casting and a bright white eagle, with deep blue on the tips of it's feathers, appears above him. It swoops at the man with the scimitar, clawing with it's talons .
Taryk moves his hand in a wiping fashion at the thug on Konghruul's left, as his eyes glow blue-white. "Shh." .
The thug's eyes glaze over .
Bexellock stands there in frustration, watching the battle play out.
"Elf whore! This is my boat now!" Soller shoves Mendyrian back, and slashes her with his scimitar .
Mendyrian wrenches the scimitar from the mans grip .
Soller attempts to slash Mendyrian across her arm as she knocks his blade out of his hand.
Konghruul punches the thug in front of him , knocking him out.
Before he goes down, the thug throes a punch at Konghruul , missing.
Asher climbs the side of the boat , and hops over the railing. "Get her," he says to Konghruul, then runs towards the thug on the stern aiming a crossbow at him.
The thug next to Blythe and Vark draws his rapier and stabs Meryndian's right thigh .
Another thug slips out of the cabin, and charges around the mast, drawing his rapier. He swings wildly at Konghruul .
A third thug follows him, running the length of the ship towards Asher, drawing his rapier.
A thug bursts out the door from the forecastle, and Asher ducks under his rapier thrust , as the thug on the stern shoots over Asher's head with a crossbow bolt .
A thug on the command deck fires his crossbow on the dinghy below . The bolt slams into the wood of the boat.
His companion moves to the rail behind him, and fires into the boat below as well , but it bounces off his armor.
Finally, the dazed thug snaps out of it.
Aliyah jumps to the chain , and climbs to the deck .
Taryk steps to the edge of the boat, and sweeps his hand over the thug again. "Shh."
The eagle claws Soller , then disappears in a small flash of light.
The thug's eyes glaze over again .
Bexellock jumps to the chain, and scrambles his feet against the wet side of the ship .
Soller swings a hay-maker at Mendyrian , but she blocks it with her left forearm.
Mendyrian punches Soller in the face .
Konghruul steps over the body of a thug .
The thug thrusts his rapier at Konghruul, but misses him.
Konghruul kicks the thug's outstretched arm , dropping the thug.
Asher trips the thug at the top of the stairs. .
The thug stands .
Asher slams his elbow into the thug's chest . The thug stays down.
The other thug stabs Asher in the side .
The thug running across the deck closes on Asher, stabbing him .
The two thugs on the command deck reload, and fire on Taryk . A bolt pierces his calf .
The thug in melee with Vark and Mendyrian stabs her deep in the side .
The final thug shakes his head of cobwebs again .
Aliyah flanks a thug with Asher, punching him in the kidney's . The thug sprawls to the deck in pain. "We need to help Mendy!"
Taryk balances in the boat, and sweeps his hand at the thug, but a wave catches him off balance, interrupting his casting.
"Cayden's mug!"
The deck splinters as a giant insect bursts through on the rear port side. As large as a horse, it's dark brown thorax reflects the flickering light of flames beneath it, as smoke pours out the hole.
The giant insect leaps at Konghruul, grabbing him with it's claws , lifting Konghruul off the deck.
Bexellock climbs to the deck, . "Konghruul!"
The thug's rapier scrapes along Bexellock's chest plate as he hops over the railing .
With a grunt of exertion, Bexellock punches the vermin with all his might .
Vark shoves the furious elf off him. "I'll kill you!"
