I seem to have lost the post that had the critters' attacks.

The other creepers try to bite. Gaz and Dakoyo dodge, but a set of sharp mandibles pierce deeply into Quonx's armor and into her flesh. 8 damage to Quonx.

Tonkona misses one of the creatures, while Dakoyo delivers a glancing blow to one.

Two more creatures scuttle their way out of the rift and attack Tokona! Neither manages to get through his armor, however. The other creatures snap and gnaw at the skittermanders they are engaged with, but only Quonx takes damage. 4 damage to Quonx. Looking at the above posts, Quonx has taken 18 damage total and should be through all her stamina and have taken 6 damage to HP.

Gazigaz knows that natural centipedes of this type are often venomous. However, there's been no sign of venom in the bites the PCs have had so far. They seem comfortable in the dark, and creatures of dark caves and nocturnal environments are frequently sensitive to light.

Quonx is able to stab the creature attacking Gaz, and it vanishes into a swirl of shadow.

The rift in the center of the room continues to roil and swirl.

Botting Mokaya:

Mokaya tries to shut down one of the crystals. It hums and shadow energy swirling around it fades.

When this happens, the rift begins to shift to a position between the two active crystals. As it moves, three new shadow creatures are left behind, their legs twitching and antenna moving about as they take in their new surroundings, then move to attack! Three skittermanders take a painful attack! Tokona takes 4 damage, Dakoyo takes 6, and Nako takes 4.

Nako destroys another one. Gaz gets a solid whack in on the closest creature, but it isn't quite dead.

Gaz, your bonus to hit with the baton really should be +3 instead of +1, there seems to be an error on the pregen stats. Batons are an operative weapon so a dex bonus of +2 and a level 2 envoy should have a +3 to attack.

As Dakoyo shuts down the third sconce, the light level in the room fluctuates wildly, then returns to a normal illumination as the rift and the shadow creatures alike swirl inward into a vortex and vanish into the remaining activated onyx.

The door to the next room opens easily, revealing three routes. A doorway leads to a an elaborate staircase to the lower deck. A single door to starboard has the word "Auto-Spa" on it. A reinforced door at the end of the hallway has the words, "BRIDGE - AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY".

As you move closer, you hear a loud noise, sounding like shouting, coming from the Auto-Spa door.

Quonx checks the door carefully, and determines it is not trapped, nor locked. Opening reveals a room that seems almost serene. The tiled walls are colored a soothing sea-foam green. Three cushioned tables occupy the center of the room, each with a plethora of mechanical arms ending in various nozzles, manipulator digits, and other implements. A series of chairs runs along the starboard side of the room, with apertures in the wall behind them. The air is humid and smells of sandalwood.

Serene, that is, except for your captain stripped to his skivvies and laying on the center table, being pummeled vigorously by the mechanical arms. He is groaning and shouting in pain, as these are clearly doing more than therapeutic levels of impact.

As you open the doors, the mechanical arms from the two unoccupied tables swing in your direction, clearly sizing you up. Perhaps they intend to forcibly 'relax' you in the same way they have your captain.

Nako is able to react before the arms.

Nako attacks the arm, doing a significant amount of damage.

The arm responds by reaching out to grab him! The gripping fingers wrap around his waist and start pulling him towards the table! Nako is grappled.

The other table's arms swing around and clack their fingers, but can't reach anyone outside the door. Nakonechkin groans in pain.

All PCs are up.

I assume I have to disable these one at a time, but if there's a central command module or something, I would head for that.

She calls out, "Great job keeping them distracted, friends!"
