VC - Sydney, Australia

The ship to ship combat raged furiously and though the Starfinders were badly outnumbered, their bigger and stronger vessel won the combat through brute force. Unfortunately, a few critical systems were damaged and insufficient spares were on board to make a reliable fix, so a signal was sent back requesting reinforcements and parts be brought forward. A scout ship has arrived, bringing two new Starfinders and sufficient stores to get your ship ready for the eventual limp home.

Your science station has been repeatedly detecting an anomalous signal coming from the false moon's surface. Iseph is able to identify several safe landing sights, ultimately choosing one that provides sufficient cover from prying eyes or wandering goblin scavengers.

The ship vibrates faintly as you penetrate the moon's atmosphere. The environmental readout informs you that the atmosphere is thin and the gravity is low.

landing the scout ship in an opportune location, you prepare to trek the 10 minutes or so to the source of the signal.

OK we're back on! Any last minute prep, banter, or back and forth info can go on! I'll move us forward again in under 24 hours

As Navasi finishes prepping and holstering her weapons, she turns to the crew and particularly the new arrivals.

"I hope you guys had enough time to get your gear stowed and everything ready. Sorry for the short notice, but you know how these things go. Before we head out onto the surface, is there anyone that hasn't met the new folks yet?"

"...As stars are born and die, so do we too face mortality. May we always remember those we lost today." Altronus finishes up a speech in honor of Altronuus and Keskodai, both of which were lost in the fierce fighting with the goblins. He also waves goodbye to Iseph as the android heads away with the scout ship.

After a final check of the weapons on ship to ensure that they are ready in case any other goblin spaceships show up, Altronus settles in to meditate and focus himself as the group makes their final approach.

Using Sidereal Influence for Stealth

Once he's done he heads on over to greet the newcomers with a "Be welcomed! We have a dangerous task ahead of us, and it is best that we can work together well. I am Altronus, brother of Altronuus, and will be calling upon the stars to protect us against the goblins infesting the moon below."

As she steps aboard, Obozaya looks around the airlock at the other Starfinders.

"No way I was going to be a wallflower at the Landing Party. Harr harr harr..."

The strange guttural laugh of the huge Vesk sounds more like a chainsaw cutting through wood than an expression of mirth, but the Vesk's toothy grin seems to indicate that she is pleased.

VC - Sydney, Australia

You set off on foot across towards the source of the anomalous signal. After making your way across the moon's hard surface, you spy a large hangar with a ship crashed through the backside, it appears to be the place.

You are now planetside, on foot, and well back from the building - you may prep anything relevant before entering...

Before landing... "Keskodai! You survived the vaporization of the break room and instant coffee machine! Thank the cycle!" Altronus claps the shirren on the back to congratulate his survival.

After landing... Altronus approaches the hangar, staring curiously at the ship. Based on the external features, can he tell what race or manufacturer it belongs to?

"It seems the signal is right ahead. Let us be well armed in case more goblins or worse are hiding within." He flicks one of his arms, causing his solar mote to jump to it and form into a long, thin arm blade. With another hand he draws his pistol, and in yet another he raises a beacon to provide light once they enter the (presumably) dark hangar.

"I can lead the way once we are prepared."

You draw closer.

A shattered spacecraft covers the entry area and back end of this immense hangar. The remains of the ship spread across the exposed northern bulkhead. Several sparks flash amid exposed wiring. The telltale shrieks of goblin songs ring out from the hangar’s rear, accompanied by the recognizable bangs and whirrs of a salvaging crew. A ship hull plate sits discarded near the entrance. Just below a number designation, in bold red letters, reads the ship’s call sign: Archer

Inside the hangar you spot a walkway, some 20 feet up from the floor. A few bored goblins on the walkway are tossing down pieces of scrap on the goblins that are salvaging things from the Archer.

To the left you notice a stairway going up to the walkway, that leads to a closed door. A defensive laser gun sticks out from what is likely some kind of control room.

Passing beyond red line - Assuming you end your move in cover you need to make a DC 13 stealth check.
If you want to start a fight you can take a surprise round action once you are in position

Huh, Scout doesn't get any bonuses to Stealth, and there's no longer any bonus on stealth checks due to size. That's less than ideal.

When Altronus spots the activity up ahead, he quickly turns off his beacon. He stays still to avoid attracting the attention of the salvaging goblins while inspecting the area.

He whispers "Ah, that laser gun near the entrance. Perhaps a mechanically minded person could turn that against the goblins. I, unfortunately, have no such skills. Though I find myself often wishing I had trained..." He cuts off, realizing that now is not the time or place for a story about his life's tiny errors.

He moves on up quietly, hiding behind some debris until the rest of the group can get into position.

Navasi moves up behind Oabazaya and Altronus, then slides down to the southeast just a few more feet, taking cover behind the southern edge of what she presumes is a piece of the wing.

I'm basing this on an assumption that the top of the map is north.

"Great idea, Obazaya. I've got a smoke grenade. Maybe I can get it to that choke point up ahead, while someone else takes out the laser turret."

Thinking she'll move along the southern edge of the hangar, she pulls her smoke grenade off of her harness and waits for the signal.

My understanding is that Stealth is only required for moving past the red line.

But admittedly I'm all turned around on the directions, cause GM's description says "To the left you notice a stairway going up to the walkway, that leads to a closed door." (emphasis added) Left of where? To me it looks like the stairway is to our right (assuming we're coming in from the left side of the map) or alternatively it's "to the south" if that's indeed "south" on this map.

Seeing his allies in position, Altronus moves on ahead and quietly tosses the grenade into the midst of the goblins on the floor. I've marked the grid intersection with a gray circle.

Stealth to sneak into position: 1d20 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (12) + 6 + (2) = 20

Can the Yellow goblin see and hear Navasi? Given that she's up on the landing, I don't have a sense of the height of the fuselage piece near Altronus nor the height of the turret. I'll post assuming she can. If not, then ignore the okc text related to her using the Get 'Am ability.

Obozaya sees that only two goblins remain standing in the main area.

Altronus can take care of those two. But there are still three of them up on that catwalk.

"I'll go for the weasels up top!" she shouts.

Obozaya starts climbing the piece of wreckage in front of her, and then jumps for the catwalk.

So, move action to climb the piece of junk in front of me, then another move to try to jump up to the catwalk. Athletics rolls:

Climb check has probably a DC of 15 or 20, but has a -5 to the DC because of low gravity. Also I am pretty close to a corner, which would give another -5 if it counts. A success would allow me to climb 15 feet.

Athletics (climb): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

that probably does it.

Jump: A lot of variables here since I am not sure how high the wreckage is that I would be starting from. But I assume that I could reach up with my arms and grab a ledge that is 8' up without jumping at all, so in order to jump and grab on I need to make up that difference.

If I am able to run the distance diagonally on top of the thing towards the wall (northeast) I will do that.

Athletics (climb): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Math: 24 * 3 (for low gravity) = 72. 72/8 for a standing start would be 9 feet, which would be enough to reach up and grab on if the object I am standing on is 3' or higher. If I am 11' up that is enough to land on the platform without difficulty. If I am able to "pull my legs in" then it might make 10 feet.

If it counts as a running start then it is 72/4 = 18 feet, enough to land on the catwalk on my feet as long as the debris is at least 2' high. If I have movement left I will keep moving whatever I have left up to melee range with the goblins.

I am not sure how far I will get but I will move as close to the goblins as possible. Please move my token.

Quig scurries to the door as quickly as he can. I could have sworn when I made my turn last time, I had a 30 foot route to the door but no, its a double move for me.

Scout rises in the air and gets level with the upper deck goblins and Obozaya.

Navasi slips into position behind Quig, ready to shoot at any goblins she sees after he gets the door open.

I'm gonna assume you don't need any help with that. Not that I could anyway. But I know you've got this, she says to him, keeping her voice down juuust in case there's someone on the other side that doesn't know they're here.

Altronus calls back to Keskodai "These are but surface burns. Do not worry yourself!"

Nah, its very clearly at least 35 feet. I think what I must have done was not consider the stairs and had his planned route not take those into consideration at all.
