"Who are you? One of the Kreeteee?"
The same voice first gives a high-pitched hissing sound that you suspect is laughter, before it replies, "I was born of the Kreeteee but I have long surpassed them! Those ignorant base creatures!" The Common spoken is heavily accented, and is high-pitched akin to screeching. Despite what he claims, the speaker is clearly of Kreeteee, just one that has somehow learnt Common.
Yeah! Who are you? And what are you doing living here?"
"Who I am is beyond your comprehension. And I should be asking what are you doing here? You are invading my home!"
"That might have been a fraction of your forces, but the things were so out of date they wouldn't pose much of a threat even in larger numbers. Anyways this wasn't originally your outpost and the original owners are wanting us to take a look at the place, so we're not trespassing or trespassers."
Again, the screeching laughter. "If you think that is all you would face, you deserve to be destroyed! You can’t fathom the power of this
technology bolstered by my magic! This "outpost" as you called it, was laid here by my god! It is the foundation of his new place of worship! How dare you claim ownership of it?!?"He pauses briefly, then speaks again in an intimidating tone. "Wait, the timing is just too precise. First the battle up in the stars, then strangers appear here. Are you the ones who dared to defile the god by destroying him? A futile gesture for he will return, even stronger. But for your sacrilege, you are damned! Come then, come to your destruction!" After that, the intercom falls silent.
When the exile speaks no further, Jaxon leads the team to move on. The door leads onto a long passage, and again, you spot a hidden camera and intercom system. Seems that every room and passage is installed with them.
Pushing on, the door at the end of the passage opens to another room. Supply lockers line the walls of this thirty-foot-wide circular room. Varied pieces of equipment are visible within some of the open lockers, while others are piled on the floor in front of hastily cleared units. It seems that this room once served as the supply room and arsenal for the former colonists. Although it shows signs of having being ransacked, it still contains some useful items. You find in the lockers four incendiary grenades I and a set of squad defiance series armor.
A door exits this room to the northwest.

"I don't believe you." Deathsnipes quips back to the voice, trying to be as snarky as possible. Darn, too late.
Deathsnipe checks around thhe lockers.

"Hey look! I found a squad machine guns and a couple screamer grenades!"
Deathsnipe can wear the armor... if it weren't for the fact that it encumbers him.

After distributing the items, the Starfinders press on after ensuring the door is untrapped. The next passageway way is a short one, and again you spot the security camera and intercom system. Clearly, now that he is warned, Xheezee the exile would be tracking your movement. The silence, however, is disconcerting.
The next circular room is immense and bare, except for several computer screens and databanks that line the inner walls. Chairs jut out from some of these computerized desks. The familiar form of a Kreeteee stands to the rear, garbed in mismatching salvaged armour and wielding a laser pistol in one hand. In front of him stands two other security bots, similar to the ones you encountered earlier.
Xheezee waves his pistol in your direction as he screeches as you in the Kreeteee's high pitch voice. "Meddling fools! You are like those imbeciles in the village who know nothing of the glory of Yteeree, the space god! You will die for the disrespect you showed for his mortal form!"

Radiance gives a derisive snort over the claims of the Kreeteee. "Sarenrae help, where do I start in pointing out how wrong you are... Well first, take a look at us, a REAL GOOD look at us. Look at how we are shaped. Then think back for a moment, wasn't almost everything in this place shaped or built for creatures our shape and size? Secondly, why in the seven layers of hell do you think we are able to speak your 'god's' language so well? Might it be because this place was built by our species and that's why it has our language and gear we can use WITHOUT magic all throughout it? I mean it makes more sense then a gigantic (and from what we saw of it, from space, mostly mindless) creature making a space that it could never use filling it with small things that it, and you, can't use and developing a language that it probably never spoke to you in?"
Radiance continues her rant throughout the hall way and into the storage area. She glances at the gear left behind and shakes her head. "Not a thing I can use or, frankly, would like to use. I will only use my goddess granted powers on this terribly misguided and aggravatingly haughty enemy!" She steps up to the door, her weapon in hand and readies to rush in.
As soon as the doors open, she forgets herself and drops the weapon, instead using her hands to start casting a spell. She starts a fervent but short prayer, with a few accompanying hand gestures. As she finishes a small ball of light forms near her body and she starts the prayer a second and then third time, each one accompanied by a speck of light. As she finishes, she opens her eyes and glares at the Kreetreee. All three of the balls of light then arc over the group in front of her and crash into the crystalline body of the alien.

I didn't refresh the page and see that combat had actually started before posting most of that. The last third (i.e. the combat actions) were an edit, the debate was supposed to happen in the hallway.

Recognising the voice of the woman who had been spouting sacrilegious words in the hallway, Xheezee screeches at Radiance, "How dare you blaspheme! My god moves in mysterious ways!" But before he could continue, Radiance sends three bolts of energy smashing into him, hurting him rather badly. At the same time, Deathsnipe and Special Circumstance focus their attention on the security bots. In a flurry of laser fire, they turn the bots into metal scrap before they can even react!
Xheezee again screeches, this time in frustration as his protection are destroyed before his very eyes. He glares at Radiance but instead turns his attention to Deathsnipe. His eyes glows and suddenly Deathsnipe feels a psychic onslaught smashing into his brains!

Another onslaught of magic bolts slam unto Xheezee. He screams in agony and collapses on the ground, dead.
Combat over! Yeah, I know, kind of underwhelming stats here...
With the active threat down, you manage to take a good look around the room. Several of the computers have short circuited or broken down due to random events over the long years, but about half of the terminals are still functioning. The screens display what the security cameras capture in the various rooms of this outpost, which is where Xheezee has been tracking you. Clearly, this area served as the command and control center for the outpost.
You find no difficulty in accessing the command-center computers, or otherwise the technologically backward Xheezee couldn't have done it either, and retrieve all relevant information requested by the hiring
organization. These contain a series of data captured of the planet, e.g. atmospheric patterns, native ecosystem, etc. There no records of the Kreeteee though, so the outpost must have been abandoned before the village was settled. You also determine from the data that the outpost was eventually abandoned. The Besmaran whelp's constant bombardment and destruction of shipments led to the colonists deciding to flee the planet, but it then destroyed all the fleeing vessels, leaving none to pass on the word eventually.
So what's next?

![]() |

We should make sure all the rooms are cleared and determine if there is any salvage and/or more hostiles. We should then start up our report for Guidance.

![]() |

"Tag it and bag it all. Grab what we can carry and lock up the rest for later. Definitely should make sure we've downloaded all the data Abadarcorp wants us to recover." And Special will get to collecting up anything particularly valuable, or potentially hazardous if it falls into the hands of a native again.
"Do we bring the crazy guy's body back to the village? Probably we need to decide on that, then pack up and get back to the ship to report."

![]() |

The Starfinders bundle up the body of the exile. While deciding what to do with it, you continue to explore the rest of the outpost. First, from his body, you recover a graphite carbonskin, azimuth laser pistol with 1 battery (14 charges), a survival knife, and a credstick with 800 credits. The small adjoining room contains little beyond an imposing plastic desk and an nearby chair. It was likely the officer's quarters. In it, you find an additional cred stick with 400 credits.
You move on and find a medical centre (where you find four mk 1 serums of healing, two basic medkits, an advanced medkit, four medpatches, a spell gem of remove condition, and a spell gem of lesser restoration), a barracks, a security centre (with similar controls for the security cameras and intercom system) and hydroponics facilities that is still functional.
The Kreeteee greets you when you return with much exuberance for rescuing one of their members from the storm. What they find that you have ended the threat of the exile as well, their joy turn into another full-fledged celebration and promise to look upon the Starfinders favourably in the future.
You do not stay long for their celebrations, however, as the food and drinks remain as unpalatable as ever, and the music as jarring. Returning to your ship, you return to Abasalom Station after a number of days of travel.
"Welcome back, Starfinders," Guidance greets you. "AbadarCorp is eager to review the data you have recovered. I've prepared a list of subsequent missions that might appeal to you, once you’re properly debriefed. There are a multitude of other lost outposts in Near Space, and with your experience, we hope you will take these assignments into consideration. Now, what have you to report?"
Fade scene...
And that's a wrap! I hope you had fun. I know the combats are not particularly challenging, but hope the scenario was interesting enough. Will get the chronicles out in a few days.
