Forum goblins appear to have eaten my post last night. I was trying to comment that Clank is going to be taking a level of Soldier at some point, though it wouldn't make sense if we aren't going back to the Station (since it'll mostly involve him getting some different gear.)

EDIT: Huh. In all the times I've seen/played/GM'd this first book, I've never seen anyone not go directly to the rock. But... there's not a ton of rush. Since there is a 98% chance the crew is dead after weeks in the Drift and Quarantine. SO, back to Station we go! I'll draft up a post tomorrow, but feel free to plan your purchases accordingly. Don't forget to sell the gear on the Slides if nobody wants it!

The group I GM'd took 2 days off between the Acreon and the Drift Rock in order to recover from Void Death. I think pushing forwards with Void-Death'd PCs is a surefire way to get killed/TPK'd! h

Inspiring Boost (Ex):

As a standard action, you can signal an ally within 30 feet who has taken damage from any attack made by a significant enemy at any point after your last turn ended. That ally regains a number of Stamina Points (up to his maximum) equal to twice your envoy level + your Charisma modifier; at 15th level, this increases to three times your envoy level + your Charisma modifier. Once an ally has benefited from your inspiring boost, that ally can’t gain the benefits of your inspiring boost again until he takes a 10-minute rest to recover Stamina Points.

At 6th level, you can spend 1 Resolve Point to add your envoy level to the number of Stamina Points regained.

I haven't been keeping track, but you should have received about 1250 each. Without selling any of the loot on Slide 2.

Did Clank ever identify the green shards? I don't see it but I feel like it happened...

Also, at least one more of you should put a point in Life Science during your level up. lol.

Yeah... I was thinking about that as I was statting out what the "Soldier Dip" Clank would be, and it seems like it would make sense for SFS, but for a long term game having him pure technomancer might be a better fit. Also Clank Technomancer 2 was a lot easier to level up ;)

Was trying to get equipment and realised I'm quite confused about the credits. :P

In my records, I received 300 credits sometime mid-June, and 365 in mid-Jul. Does the 1250 GM mentioned include or exclude this?

But I've leveled up Davrin, so I think he is ready to go. (Unless we have combat right away?)

The 1250 includes those 665. But not the 700 from the Noqual.

I should have mentioned, the ceiling is 15 feet high. So you can float over people's heads if you want. No gravity means you can stack yourselves in a single space.

With half movement Clank can only go 35' this turn as a double move, so he probably won't get a standard action.

One "pseudo physics" question: Where would the move stop at? Would he go floating deep into the room or stop as far as his movement takes him? In the past in zero-gravity open rooms I had movement continue until a solid surface was hit, but I'm not sure if that's right.

I read it the same way.

As a move action, you push off and move half your distance. If you hit something, you stop moving. If you don't, you will continue floating on your next turn. (Unwillingly using up your move action, I guess?)

Now, you can expend your standard action to extend your movement in two different ways.

1. You can push off harder and move your full distance. (Effectively taking two move actions)
2. If you landed on a wall after your Move action, you can kick off again. (Using your standard as a second move action.)

Or, you could perform a normal standard action while you are floating.

So how is the force field supposed to work? I've seen this come up a couple of times, but I really don't think it works the way the story implies and wonder if it got changed late in Starfinder's development but too late to change the AP :) 5 Temp HP probably wouldn't faze the Slobber Monster ;)

Clank, I've asked myself the same question. This mechanic is seen in both this AP and in a Starfinder Scenario. Both of which were pretty early and might relate to changed rules.

Scenario:

Cries in the Drift.

I don't think the rules say that incorporeal beings can't shift through force fields. But the scenarios say they can't. The rules don't say the beings can't damage force fields. But the scenarios imply they can't.

So, yeah, you're right. Both situations don't quite make sense with the rules-as-written.

1) Since you last asked this question last, my players have advanced into the second book of Dead Suns. I've prepped the first section of it and have read through the whole thing. (Btw, the group I'm GMing is going at about... 1/3 the pace of this group? This one started book 1 on JUN 10 and seems lined up to finish the book on OCT 14 at the latest. That's 125 days if I did my math right. The group that I took over GM-ing for started book 1 on SEP 28 2017, and finished on SEP 14 2018 after 1537 posts.)

2) I'm fine with no break. I live and breathe PbP at this point (Playing half a dozen games :>), so break or no break, I'll be here.

3) I'll have to work that out. I had a character lined up to get credit, and then accidentally leveled them out of the bracket. Oops! It might be my -704 that ends up getting credit, but let me get back to you on that one.

Also, I was under the impression that everything from the metallo-ceramic hallways onwards had gravity (I at least ran it that way when I ran this fight). Rereading it now, I'm not too sure...

Pippimi, your group is doing the whole thing? Awesome! And you can help keep me honest in the second book. ;) Also, wow, a year! And more than double our posts! Crazy! I'm pretty happy with our pace and post quality. But if anybody has any tips or preferences please let me know!

Lenny, you can apply this to any level 1 or 2 Society character. And you don't have to apply them all to one character, you can spread them out if you want. (I don't think there's a capstone boon if you put them all on one character.)

Lenny, you can apply this to any level 1 or 2 Society character. And you don't have to apply them all to one character, you can spread them out if you want. (I don't think there's a capstone boon if you put them all on one character.)

3. My (SFS) Davrin (215076-704) will receive the credit. And I'll stick with (campaign mode) Davrin for now. Yeah, going to be confusing at some point, but I'll avoid playing (SFS) Davrin in SFS scenarios to manage this. So the chronicles for each book is to be applied for L1-2, L3-4, L5-6, etc? I might have a problem when it hits the 3rd book then. :P
