"Why the subtly now friend Haze? The direct ambush springing approach has led us hear as surely as a gale. And what better way to fulfill my lady's and my Lady's insistence that I practice the healing arts than with getting our fighting friends inj...well, getting them into a situation that allows us all to fulfill our greater purpose!"

Zypher stides openly up to the door and tests the knob.

If open he pushes into the room with a hearty "Hello, we are here!" and steps aside clearing a charge lane.

If the door is locked then he backs up a step and kicks the door just below the lock.

Mayumi takes a quick diaganol step the the southeast, takes quick aim and squeezes the trigger of her repeating crossbow. Seeing the bolt slam into the door frame above the bandit, she swears "ජරාව මඟුලේ ඒ පාරෙන් අහකට"

While the first bandit to react and Hazé trade opening blows, slightly wounding each other, Zypher attempts to figure out the new wands activation and Mayumi shoots a bolt into the door.

Another raider, moves from near the table and rushes to attack Valgor now standing alone at the rear door of the well established Taldan hunting lodge. The short sword cuts into Valgor, sliding deep into the half orc's body in a poorly armored area.

Faux and I discussed actions via text. Here is a write up.In essence Faux double moves.

Faux the Errant, leaving Noble Steed in the safe clearing rushes forward to assist in the fight. While drawing the gleaming sword, Faux stumbles over a trip line buried in the snow. A crossbow hidden on the snowy porch roof lets out a twang as a bolt fires directly at Faux, easily piercing the armor around the warrior's form. The clattering of severally pieces of metal tied to string, also sounds of as the bolt fires.

Crossbow Trap: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Faux continues forward to join the battle.

The raider at the back of the room takes a five foot step back draws his shortbow and launches an arrow at Vaethic through the open door. The arrow shoots past him and lands in a snow bank 20 feet beyond.

Perhaps this damn thing doesn't work on elves. Let me try the half-orc.

Swinging the wand at the back of the half-orc's unprotected head like a stick Zypher attempts to activate the wand. When the first swing produces no more effect than the attempt on Haze, Zypher falls into a flurry of insults targeted at the inert piece of wood.

"Damn charlatan's hoax of a healing implement! What does it take to make this damn thing work! *#))@($*%!" The fluttering tag that Mayumi attempted to point out finally catches his attention. "Huh, N..e..s..t..a..d"spelling it out "What kind of stupid word is that? N..e..s..t..a..d my ass. See it doesn't work. Nestad". Finally saying the word out loud as the stick impacts Valgor's head for the fourth time Zypher feels energy course through the stick into his hand and out into Valgor's now bruised head.

With the raiders all aware of the invading adeventurers they are all moving into positions to attack better, with the bottleneck at the door their attacks are not very effective.

Raider 7 slips through the door to join Valgor on the porch, swinging his sword at Valgor as he arrives. With uncanny expertise the grizzled man, is able to ram his shortsword into a particularly tender spot.

Haze's fire blasts misses his target, and Mayumi follows up by placing a bolt up to its fletchings into the raider's chest. Zypher seems to be getting the hang of smacking Valgor with the heal stick. many of the wounds Valgor has suffered seem to be closing up before the raider's eyes.
