I have been forgetting that they have flanking.

I take 3 points of damage from a skeleton bringing me to 58 + 4 left from (False Life). I am down to 2 fireballs left for the day and about to use one.

Here have some more fire since you love it so much! Fire whips from around my hands into the air above the skeletons to my right incinerating everything in sight as the skeletons shriek for the unbearable heat that envelops them.

Perform Percussion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 DC 12 to beat.
Fireball: 10d6 + 10 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 5, 1, 1, 1, 5, 3, 1) + 10 = 32 If failed

That kills all of those skeletons of corse you need to make a concentration check to cast defensively.

Don't forget that not every skeleton can flank with Toran and I standing side by side.

As the skeletons batter away Riva's wards, she attempts to put up new ones. She casts shield upon herself, taking a defensive stance with her morningstar while waiting for Vallisa and Mallichatti to continue thinning out the herd.

Riva grunts in pain at a glancing blow against her left elbow. Knowing she could have used magic to blunt the attack, she holds back, realizing that she may need to rely on it should more deadly strikes break past her other wards.

Knowing that the party may have serious need of its extra speed should an opening form up in the enemy ranks, Riva instead casts haste again, hoping that the enemy is no longer in a position to observe the limitations of her magic.

Riva's familiar, Redwig, dive bombs one of the skeletons in front of Toran, hoping to distract it and create an opening.

What? There's plenty of open areas chock full of skeletons that can be blasted! I'm pretty sure she hasn't exhausted all of her fireballs and other spell slots. I've placed the area marker over several perfectly acceptable areas.


I figured she would want to use her last fireball on an area that was full of skeletons.

I suppose she can resort to burning hands if she's looking to fill every single square of an area. That would auto-kill several skeletons a round.
