Zeriax |

NO!!
Why would you do such a thing...? Zeriax stares blankly at Thedrid, stating calmly - Not only it is a coward act, but also this one here was to be brought to justice.
With a further look at the goblin, almost speaking to himself he adds - We could even had perhaps obtained some relevant information from him - maybe yes, maybe no, we'll never know anyway, it seems.

Zeriax |

Well, his reaction would be the same regardless - against "the goblin" or against one of the unconscious ones.
@Megekki: Monks are like that :D

Zeriax |

Seeing Thedrid taking off down the street, Zeriax turns to Megekki - What shall we do with this one then - better tie him up and leave him to be picked up later, or take him with us? What say you?

Megekki |

Megekki leans in close, glowering at the goblin, seemingly measuring the curve of his skull, but actually maneuvering so Brenton is opposite Megekki. (Aid Another, 1d20 ⇒ 16 , so +4 for Brenton... Oh, and flanking, too.)"He sing the song. He dance the dance. He pay the piper. 'Bonk the head'."
:)
And if this KO's the gob, stabilize him.

![]() |

Well, I leave for a few minutes...
Yeah, you couldn't techncially CdG...he wasn't really helpless. However, he was prone on the ground, about to get up. Your intention was stated, even if the mechanics don't seem to support it. Instead of an auto hit, a roll would need to be made, so I shall make it now...
1d20 ⇒ 15
...and the results would have been the same. So, yeah, you walked up and shot the little beastie in the skull, Thedrid. The first damage roll by itself with point blank would have been enough to cause him to die/bleed.

Zeriax |

Well, in that case my reactions are already posted above as appropriate :D
After watching the goblin being executed, Zeriax does not push the issue any further - once Thedrid runs off down the street, and after the introductions have been made, he will survey the immediate area, to confirm if any villagers that may still be around are safe and unharmed.
While he walks around he inquires loudly - "Is everyone ok - are there any wounded?"

As you ask the questoin, and turn around, your breath is almost taken away. Chaos has engulfed Sandpoint. Goblins race everywhere, running amok and singing and slashing indiscriminately. As you turn around and move to address it, a sudden bloom of fire from a nearby unattended wagon or cart grabs you attention. A group of goblins has found a cart full of fuel for the sunset bonfire just south of the festival grounds and has lit it on fire. As you move to investigate the burning wagon, you are soon confronted with several cackling and shrieking goblins armed with dogslicers and torches. As soon as the goblins see you, they shriek in delight and attack. These goblins have not only armed themselves with burning torches (weapons they wield with maniacal delight), but also have the support of one of their warchanters. (Pictutre in Dropbox)

Enough of them to stop this being a nuisance becoming full fledged threat!
Emrys strides forward stopping 10 feet short of the group pulling a small package of coloured sand from one of his pockets. He traces intricate patterns in the air and as he comes to a stop completes the spell with a final flourish.

A blazing riot of colour erupts from his outstretched hand and washes over the goblins.
Ok, target is goblin D for this colour spray. DC 14 Will save to resist.

Megekki is towed toward the goblins by his eager longspear. He manages to get the haunted-seeming weapon under control just as he comes up to stand next to Emrys. "Kill chanter! Kill all chanter! 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
1d4 ⇒ 4 (The goblins are close enough together to get both)
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Both the goblins are KO's by the sudden array of colors assulting their senses. Thedrid misses his shots, whlie Brenton moves forward, unable to get a clear charging path to the goblins in the back row. Maggeki lets out a primal yell, causing one of the little guys to become 'shaken.'
Goblins
While intimidated, the goblins focus their attacks on the priest in front of them.
The warchanter attempts to trip Brenton, which provokes an AoO. Using Brenton's attack roll above (since he didn't get to use it before), it misses.
Trip Attempt: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15
He succeeds, and Brenton falls to the ground. The warchanter finishes his turn by five foot stepping backwards whilest continuing to sing.

"Leader. Talker. Arrows for him!", Megekki answers Zeriax, before losing his tug-of-war with the haunted spear, and being towed almost onto Brenton before regaining his balance. "No! Bad spear! Him fall, but him friend! Kill Goblin! ... You choose! Which! Which one, belly belly belly?", the masked man and the feathered spear argue, the indecisive spear waggling back and forth among the goblins in reach, only coincidentally deterring their assumed assault on Brenton. After the short interlude, the solemn, disciplined look returns to his face - he seems to speak almost to himself - "The archer is right... How many more are in danger?"

The last volley of arrows takes down the remaining goblins. Father
Zantus runs up to the group of you, nearly out of breath.
Are you all OK? I saw you fighting some of the creatures off. Do you need any healing?
Before you can answer, you hear a goblin yell in distance. You turn to see him leap off a roof in an attempt to land on a victim but misses and breaks his neck.

Megekki |

Megekki takes the moment to load his crossbow, whispering to the bolt before loading it. He offers the bow and his quiver to Brenton. "We stay together, and we find them. But we do not charge. Just kill. Only one, that is hungry. Four, that is a fight. Many, and talkers... that is war. They will eat. So who, do you not want eaten? That is where we go to fight."
Too many words...
"Where are the people, that are easy food for goblins?"

Megekkis right, assess the situation and deal with the greatest threats. By the way, those two... he motions to the two victims of his colour spray, ...won't be asleep forever. We should bind them at least.

Megekki |

"No bind. War.", Megekki says, inverting his long spear. "They run, can live, they fight, can die."
Megekki will CdG both fallen goblins (one at a time). He ignores those who fell earlier.
"Where are the children?", he asks,
KN:Local+6 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
"...Megekki does not know that."

Well, most of them are with their parents, or rounded up at the inn.
You take a moment to look around. Here and there, the sounds of battle, clanging swords, calls of support by the town guard, and shrieking and singing goblins echo through the streets, but at the festival itself, most of the citizens have fled. One or two goblins remain behind to scavenge food, and many more lie dead (along with a few unfortunate citizens).
It is obvious that the fight has moved on, especially when the sound of a scream and a frantic barking come from the north.

Zeriax |

Zeriax cannot help but wince at the easyness with which his impromptu companions discard life - even being just goblins, and creatures that would not offer them a chance in case they had won the fight, even so...
To the monk, simply butchering them is not only flat out wrong, but also illogical - who knows what information could be gathered from these? No one around him seems to care about it, and this makes him aprehensive.
Zeriax's contemplation is abruptly interrupted by the screams coming from the North - without hesitation he dashes in their direction, while screaming to the others - "Stop thinking only about bloody, savage murder, and use your intellect - show these people we are different from the goblins that face us with exactly only that in mind."

Megekki |

"Not murder. War. And Megekki not killing when they sleep, only when they will wake and fight more. And fight maybe others, not so strong like Megekki, like Zeriax, like shines-lights elf. So they die. Megekki even heals them, when they fight no more. Megekki."
The masked man flicks goblin blood from the head of his spear, and ties to it some oddment taken from the goblin shaman. This appears to begin another spear-dance pantomime, and he is towed rapidly toward the North.
"MEGEKKI!"

The nobleman cowers behind a rain barrel where he called for help. As you arrive on the scene, they’re just in time to see the goblin commando kill the dog with his horsechopper. The dog crashes dying to the ground as the goblin kin (who were themselves cowering nearby as the dog was handled) throw up a cheer and emerge from hiding.
The goblins are still distracted by their kill, and as they turn their attention to the nobleman, the party has an opportunity to attack with surprise.
