sorry... yes, that was my intention
Tug looks around for something to wipe the gore from his weapon. He eventually settles for removing what he can with the toe of his boot. "Ech... Everyone alright? Let's see what's in this here room..." Tug enters the room from which the beasts came.

This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testified by the nearly two dozen cells that line the room’s perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five-foot-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.

"He'll be fine. He may be small, but his spirit is strong. Too strong, sometimes." Etohya shoots the bird a stern glare, but Kirri just hops around unconcerned. "Thank you for asking, though," she smiles at Jonas, surprised that a city-dweller would care about a creature of nature.

Ahead of you you see the hallway opens up into a fairly large room. This room contains several ancient relics of what appear to be torture implements, although their function and style seem strange and archaic. In one corner sits a spherical cage with spikes protruding inward from its iron bars. In another stands what appears to be a star-shaped wooden frame, its surface studded with hooks. And in the center of the room is a long table covered with leather straps and a number of cranks that seem designed to rotate and swivel.
Two doors lead out, one to the east and one to the south.
Etohya
"Provided nothing much stronger than the creatures we've seen lies in wait, Kirri and I should be fine to continue."
Seeing the contents of the room ahead, Etohya sneers in disgust at the vile torture implements. "It was a violation of the earth to create a place of evil such as this. One moment while I prepare for what might lie beyond these doors." She bends down and picks up three small pebbles from the floor, then casts magic stone on them. They glow softly before fading, and Etohya grips them tightly, ready to throw at any foes.
Tug Milkbeard
"Welly well well well. What have we here?" Tug strolls around, and tries to determine how long the torture room has been out of use. (particularly taking note of condition of the leather straps)
After looking around, Tug moves to the east door. He glances to the others, then opens it and quickly shifts to his battle stance and war face.

Tug turns from his battle stance back to the group and nods. "Aye. I'm with ya on that." Tug shuts the east door, and moves instead to the south door. He opens it - ready for action again.
You open the door.
The crumbling remnants of several chairs and a long table clutter the floor of this room. To the south stand three stone doors, each bearing a strange symbol that resembles a seven-pointed star.

After determining the lack of hostiles, Tug looks at the doors and scratches his head. "Eh... uhh. More doors... well maybe whatever we're facing down here is vulnerable to drafts! Ha ... you know .. all the shut doors and ... uh ehh. Lets take a second."
He starts rummaging through his satchel, retrieves and bites off a hunk of twice-baked spicebread. He then holds it in his mouth while pulling up his pants, and then starts tightening his belt. He pulls the spicebread from his mouth .. "All this dorn-dergar swinging... bout to lose me pants." takes another bite then stows it.

Jonas gives Tug a grin as he responds to the dwarfs joke. Or the doors where keeping them all locked away so they would never be able to harm man or beast. Jonas appears pensive for a moment. Seriously though I wonder what has kept them here. I imagine the towns folk would be aware of them if they wondered the streets. Do you think magic has kept them bottled up under ground for as long as these ruins appear to be old or are these things part of the forces arrayed against the town?
Jonas El 'Adan
Most likely magic maybe they where twisting these peoples bodies and minds to become what we have been fighting down here. What ever the case once we are done searching we need to get these poor unfortunates a proper burial outside of this evil place. Jonas turns from the room and continues to the next door and down the corridor.

You proceed down the stairs.
The ceiling of this strangely cold chamber arches to a vaulted height of
twenty feet. The floor contains eleven wooden lids strewn haphazardly
over eleven five-foot-wide pits in the ground. From the darkness within
these pits echo up strange shuffling sounds and, every so often, a low moan.
On the other side of the room, you see what appears to be a strangely mutated goblin fighter wielding a longsword.

I will try to cut off its escape. Jonas moves just past the stairs and to the right preparing his daze spell in case the goblin moves closer to attack or attempts an escape. You can assume that the lights are moving with me at this point just to make it easier. I'll step into the room and move to the side to clear the stairs for Tug and allow me the opportunity to cut it off if it decides to escape through the other door. I will prep my Daze spell as a standard action after taking my move action to get in position. I will attempt to daze the creature at the most opportune moment such as within a 5 foot step of me or a companion or before reaching the other door if possible.
